  1. Hello! I'm moving in with a couple friends and we're getting 300mbps internet service from Spectrum but I have absolutely no intention of taking their wifi router. All three of us are gamers but I have a switch we'll be running through. However, all the other stuff like phones, tablets, and TVs will be on wifi. Other than gaming there will be steaming to twitch, streaming shows from things like Netflix and Amazon. There will be 4K streaming as well. So I'm looking for some recommendations on what people have had good experiences with or perhaps something that's know to function well at the max with these speeds. I don't even want to think about how many devices will be on the network, it's ridiculous. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello! I'm currently working on upgrading my rig from an AIO to a custom loop. I've run into a bit of a snafu. I'm building in the Thermaltake Tower 900, but I didn't want to use their Res + Pump combo since I've heard bad things about them in general. So instead I went with an EKWB EK-XRES 14 0 Revo D5 PWM (incl. pump) as well as a verticle mount from them. Unfortunately, the mounting is made for the Thermaltake stuff, which doesn't seem to line up with the EK mount. (No surprise there). I'd like to make some sort of mounting adapter where it basically extends the mounting points to two plates of metal or something, instead of drilling into the case. Has anyone else done anything like this? I'd like to hear what people think. Thanks! P.S. Link to all the parts of the build are in this link Minus the tubing and compression fittings.
  3. So I'm trying to find a pair of headphones, if you couldn't tell by the title. I have some choice which i will link at the end of this post, but if anyone else has any suggestions then I'm open for ideas. The most I'd like to spend would be about 150 USD. Some information if anyone asks: Reason for getting bluetooth is because the aux port on my OnePlus One no longer works from so much plugging and unplugging. Over the ear instead of in ear because they are more comfortable and i'm not going to be running around in them or anything. Things that are a must are: Bluetooth Over-the-ear style microphone Things that would be nice but aren't necessary: Noise cancelling Additional accessories like a carrying case would be nice Potential choices: Sony MDRXB950BT/B https://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDRXB950BT-Extra-Bluetooth-Headset/dp/B00MCHE38O/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1458511224&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+xb950bt&linkCode=sl1&tag=techsource02-20&linkId=6f22166cd9921f4821f6a87ad163cd7a Paww WaveSound 2 https://www.amazon.com/Paww-Over-Ear-Headphones-Cancelling/dp/B00ZV498VC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1487739307&sr=8-1&keywords=Paww+Wavesound+2 MEE audio Matrix2 https://www.amazon.com/MEE-audio-Bluetooth-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B00DOP3NPW/ref=sr_1_30?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1487823741&sr=1-30&keywords=headphones&refinements=p_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A12097501011 CB3 HUSH https://www.amazon.com/CB3-Bluetooth-Headphones-Cancelling-Technology/dp/B01L8C8WCQ/ref=sr_1_65?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1487823825&sr=1-65&keywords=headphones&refinements=p_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A12097501011 Sennheiser HD 4.40 https://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-4-40-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B01MSZSJE9/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487956390&sr=1-2&keywords=sennheiser+hd+4.50+btnc Thanks everyone
  4. So I was doing some parts research for a HTPC and I came across NMediaPC. http://www.nmediapc.com/ I was just wondering if anyone has had one of these or has ever heard of them? Thanks!
  5. Night Raider 4790k overclocked to 4.5GHz EVGA GTX 970 SC PNY XLR8 16GB (2x8gb)Score: 6.4
  6. If you read the title you already know what's up. So Does anyone have any recommendations for at least a 5 channel fan controller. Preferable it should only take up one 5.25" bay. Thanks!
  7. that's true it is a small difference but there isn't exactly a plethora of room for the rad + fans. Plus the triton that I was looking at was a 120mm, and the case has a place for the duel 120mm rad I'm just worried about the clearance between the mobo and the Rad.
  8. So I'm building a mITX build inside of a Corsair 380T. From what I understand the H100i fits in it and its 52mm(fans + radiator), while the Raijintek Triton it 57mm(fans + radiator). So what does everyone think? Will it fit? Am I stupid to even consider using the Raijintek Triton? Anyone? Here is the build by the way if anyone was interested: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WqvW8d
  9. Looks great other than two things: 1. I am perplexed as to why the graphics card is $400. Maybe one of these would tickle your fancy a bit more? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43975kr or http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42972kr 2. Instead of that motherboard are you willing to consider this instead? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97nwifi Other than those two things it looks great! lets get some pics when your done!
  10. Aww man really? Its such sweet ram too! I'm trying to build this without a mechanical drive and I'm probably not going to have too many games on it but I like that 500gb hyperX!! I think I might swap that in!
  11. Yeah I saw that it was really more of a place holder.
  12. Well I'm a working student so my money goes towards everything but school. Basically my parents pay for school and i pay for everything else. The SLI not working, I'm kind of unsure about the reason. For one it could be because the cards are different manufacturers and the computer doesn't recognize the SLI bridge also but that might have something to do with the first problem. But there is plenty of room.
  13. So I recently started building computers (like 4-5 months ago). And I've basically been just looking for excuses to build more! So after finishing my sisters and my gaming rig, I started thinking about building a portable machine to take to my friends homes and so out of that came this idea and everything just started with this GTX 970. Then last week I was on Micro center's website at like 8:30am and I don't know how it happened but they must have messed up somewhere since for like a few minutes there was a brand new GTX 970 on sale for $149.99 and this was just too good an opportunity to not take. Am I right? So then I tried to SLI it just for poops and giggles since I already had a 970 in my main rig. Suprise Suprise it didn't work, so now I'm building a home for it! TL:DR > Got a second 970 on the cheap > now I'm building a portable computer Here's the PC part picker link: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/DDrgHx I'm open to changes on basically anything that I have yet to buy. So far I have bought the Mobo and obviously the graphics card. So if anyone is interested follow me on my little mini adventure and make any recommendations and what not! Might even try my hand at doing some case mods, custom water loop is not out of the question! If interested here's a link to my rig:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kBfBJx
