  1. I had this problem. The issue was signal losses from USB. Causing the issue.
  2. I had similar issue may be it is not same for you. My graphics card only work with the riser cable. It was a tolerance issue. Also check you are getting correct power from psu
  3. I do have s21 ultra, the problem is if I do disable thing in settings i can easily enable it. I just need to make it difficult to enable things again. I am used to working with custom roms 10 years ago, when I had xperia z1. I believe custom rom was more active those days, now I cannot see newer devices supporting twrp, lineage etc. The one that I saw supported is mi ll lite 5g, that is 2021 device. I saw realme GT 3. 15 minutes full charge. But no rom available.
  4. I am ready to install custom rom, that is way to go, so community support is needed. But it would be good if it is a new device.
  5. I am expecting twins, so me and my partner have decided to use smartphone as little as possible. The idea is to get an inexpensive phone, that can quickly charge. But can run latest Android. We do have 5g and wifi axe at home. But need only 4g and ax wifi. The application that I need to run are, Amazon shopping, what's app, banking apps, slack, smart things, Gmail, outlook, calenders. And there are few more apps, but I should be able to remove YouTube, browser, social media app, gallery, camera only needed for QR codes, no playstore to prevent easy install of APPS, any suggestions? I can may be not install banking apps, if security is issue. The idea is not to use phone as often.
  6. I am no expert maybe you can do research on it. If you are owner of a product and it is legal for you to transfer ownership of the said product. If you send a package to another party without any contract, you are transferring the ownership of said item to the recieving party. If there was such a contract I think there would be a law suit now instead of this drama.
  7. Exactly LMG has no legal obligation to give it back back since there is no prior contract.
  8. I have an Asus x570 proart wifi. This is connected to SSL2 audio interface. Operating system is windows 11. Whenever the system goes to standby, audio interface dissapeares. I need to unplug and replug usb to detect it. Other peripherals do not have this issue.
  9. I finally figured out the issue, the single ram I kept in the system was the culprit. That ram had some weird issue. So in the end when it 4090 starts working, the ram stopped detecting, the applications i run need 32gb and was causing all sorts of issue. So when I looked ram usage it was all full. Then I saw it is 16gb. So i opened reinserted the ram, it stopped working. So i removed it. It worked, I had a spare 16gb and it worked.
  10. Usually all rules will be hosted somewhere and you gets the link on joining, in all companies I worked so far, especially if you are working in tech industry. So I am guessing it is same here as well. But 99% will not look that. Especially if it is 1st job. Current HR cannot do audit, they have not told, they will do audit, but only investigate claims by the person. I think full hr audit and HR complaince audit should be done. Yup the 5k is taxable the recieving party should pay the tax. In every organisation anything verbal is useless, everything should be documented. I think since this is so public it is being done. If you adhire strictly by rules, you can expect everything by rules, so there will change in treatment to you, as long as it adhires to the rule. Example they should not give you projects that are of not so high profile due to this.
  11. Yes I do agree, if you reject 5k upgrade LMG or LS will tell ok. And won't think about it again, but the problem is fear of an employee to tell no, I have seen that a lot.
  12. From what i understand billet lab contacted after sending LMG the product for the review, may be even after review that they need the prototype back. So LMG has no legal obligation to do so only a moral thing to do so.
  13. Most companies shares the link to hr policies on joining. Don't know about specific countries. Also any changes should be notified. The only way doubts can be cleared is doing an audit and publish it's findings. I still behave some kind of professionalism is missing in the LMG culture. May be it is due to the industry. Example Asking employees can someone come and help me in moving, I will giving hourly wages. I would say no, but some may feel, what if i say no, will this affect my promotion. your boss come to your home and give a pc and shoot everywhere, I would reject the gift. Maybe allow him till the living room to give a coffee.
  14. They had hr firm. That handled hr stuff. So .... could reach out to them. Like any organisation it would be try to solve problems with people you have problem with. Contact your pm of it is not resolved. If still not resolved, contact hr. If hr not taking seriously, try contacting. Some stakeholder. If nothing works out. Quit. If the issue is assault, approach law enforcement, they may help you to get proof as well. And if you are imagining things, there is little you can do. Some companies makes employees work beyond possible, you can quit in that case. They can do an audit on the hr policies in practice. Also can do a complaince audit.
  15. Same as before he is good person, maybe not make employees work so hard. I felt that even before, so no change. For example asking employees to come help in for moving. Although you are giving them money to do it, some might feel saying no is not good.
  16. I was ok with LTT. Steve is over dramatic as always and Steve being Steve. But company culture made me concern, as I feel like human rights and fairness is important. But seeing response from Linus maybe the person is ....? No idea. May be third party investigation and I also suggest. Doing an audit on hr policies and yearly audit on hr complaince would make mind at ease.

  18. Dry air increases chances of creating static. Also old electronics may have things like paper capacitor etc that may damage. Main thing to verify is, the plug point is grounded properly to handle Statics. There are copper connection in the screw holes of motherboard. When we screw it. It connects to computer case. This is connected to smps and this is connected to ground as well There is also direct connection to ground as well. I think these days with different paint works, needs to check this alternative ground path as well. Even high humidity affects life of electronics. It breaks fast, can form rust, can create shorts. I have a harddisk that failed due to high humidity. Airflow is very important as part of controlling humidity.
  19. First LMG need to hire 3rd party to do an audit on the current HR policies. At this point it should not be bare minimum, it should be employee centric. Modify your policies based on recommendation. Post the policies publically as transparency initiative. It should be indexed so as to navigate fast and searchable. This will both help employees to access it and viewers to get a piece of mind. Many HR policies might be unknown to even employees. There should be HRMS software that is used, so that there is log of every complaints, actions etc. (This is private to relevant parties) Yearly complaince audit should be done by third party, this involves things like how complainrs was handled. Surveys on various aspects. Etc.
  20. I know you guys are planning to do automation and lots of tools are involved. I think you should do something additional. First you need a log of historical data, second you need some option to enter what company promised. Enter your expectation. Then calculate the delta in the variation, this will help to an extent. I know automation is something that will ease things up. But for every benchmark. One random game/ tool etc need to be selected and do a manual testing without any tools, and see how it compares.

  22. After all of this how many companies will be ready to provide advertisement/sponsorship with LMG. Without that how will LMG survive? I think major portion of revenue is this. Am I wrong?
  23. I am torn between unsubbing and keep my subscription. One one hand this is extremely terrible, and on other hand, this channel has been extremely influential to me. I like gamers Nexus and other channels, but those would have never shaped me in liking tech. But Madison insident is just so illegal, untethical, and saddening. On top of that recording of 2021 with employees response to it just show the culture. Also I read about a kid and mother committed suicide because of him during ncix bankruptcy indirectly due to linus.
  24. They have mentioned the labs are not fully functional yet, process are being set up, so at a transition time.l, Errors are expected. In this case a large company is trying something new. Everyone on the other side(labs) are new to LMG. It is new for Linus as well. He is used to long rants and entertainment. So there will be learning curve and need procedures and steps to make things right. At this phase, mistakes are quite common. What I would suggest for LMG is may be spin off labs to seperate channel.
  25. How many people here watch these videos for actual data other than when doing a purchase decision? And when doing purchase decision how many rely just on one source for decision? Linus tech tips is a tech entertainment channel. I enjoy watching it. And I will continue to do so. How many can deny they became pc enthusiast because of him? He is always good for industry. The auctioning off part was terrible on part of the LMG, but when a company put a sample onto a public outlet then the product and anything that can be learned is public knowledge not a secret anymore. Patents are there to protect. They can ask for compensation for making new prototype and for lossess in time. When sending a product for review they should have given a contract on how to handle things, if it is not publically released or someome should be there along with the product, I don't know if this was followed.
