  1. This is what I'm thinking too. Kinda hoping to get one that's unlockable for a free Fury X
  2. So I recently got an Acer xr341ck and I need a new gpu to take advantage of freesync and get enough performance at this resolution. I'm having a tough time deciding between the Fury and Fury X right now. Shopping around, I can get the Sapphire Fury for $475 or the XFX Fury X for $600. I'm having a hard time justifying the $125 premium for the Fury X. I haven't really seen any reports of performance from a Fury at this resolution so does anyone have a set up like this?
  3. I would say a single 980 ti at 3440x1440 is really one of the best case scenarios for taking advantage of gsync. Frame rates will dip below 60 frequently at that resolution and gsync will make that more tolerable. The xr341ck would be a waste if you're not going to take advantage of freesync so I would rule that out. I think you really have two options here. You can get the x34 and let gsync smooth out frame rate dips or you could get a second 980 ti and pair it with a 60hz monitor and run your games with vsync on. You're spending about the same amount of money either way.
  4. You need an active displayport adapter for the third display. http://www.amazon.com/Cable-DisplayPort-Supporting-Technology-Resolution/dp/B00EDT0072/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1448664791&sr=1-1&keywords=active+displayport+to+hdmi Something like that will work.
  5. Samsung just started their black Friday sales on their site. Some decent looking deals on tvs and monitors here. Monitors: 24" 1080p $120 29" Curved ultrawide 1080p $400 34" Curved ultrawide 1440p $700 28" 4k $400 32" Professional 4k $1000 Lots of 4k and Curved tvs on sale as well. Really considering the 34" ultrawide myself. http://www.samsung.com/us/shop/black-friday
  6. Well you do have M.2 so it's an option. Sata is generally a lot cheaper though so I would go with something like http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/490004-adorama-sandisk-ultra-ii-480gb-for-109-960gb-for-199-extreme-pro-480gb-for-169-960gb-for-329/.
  7. Might as well save some money and go with the pb278q for the second monitor. Why waste $150 that you could spend elsewhere?
  8. The ppi for that monitor is pretty close to the ppi of a 40" 4k monitor which a lot of people seem satisfied with. Running it at 1080p really depends on the scalar in your specific monitor but it probably wouldn't look any worse than 1080p on a 25" 1080p monitor.
  9. Why would they lie? They would have absolutely nothing to gain from that. Obviously they want to know how their card is going to compare to the competition before it comes out so it's no surprise they would do the comparison and if they lied then it just looks bad. AMD (and any company for that matter) is smart and there is no reason not to trust their benchmarks.
  10. You can easily install linux on it or simply run a full linux distro from within chrome os. After reading about crouton for chrome os I really plan on buying a pixel.

  12. I think your math is a little off here. A 32 bit integer can count to ~4 billion and according to the gift in the OP it is being used to count every second as an integer, meaning a 32 bit integer can count 2^32 seconds or about 136 years. Switching to a 64 bit integer would obviously solve the problem as it could count ~4 billion squared seconds but it won't solve the real problem. There is a reason we don't need 64 bit for everything. Small integrated systems have no need to store data in 64 bits and it would be a waste of money to use 64 bit processors in everything. The simplest solution would probably be to reset the initial date every time the time_t integer reaches it's maximum and instead of having time_t values equate to a date, have it be a count from some other stored date value.
  13. Every RMA I've done with Razer was fine. My mouse sensor stopped working and I think it should have been out of warranty but they still replaced it. They even sent me the newer updated version of the mouse with a higher dpi sensor.
  14. The efficiency is impressive and I would love to try out ganestream on the shield tablet.
  15. An automatic mechanical watch is not powered by batteries. I think this is actually a great idea if they could pull it off. This would be the only smart watch that is still a watch when the batteries die.
  16. FYI, HDMI is not an open standard. Vesa has no control over HDMI. There is a group of big companies that charge royalty fees on HDMI so this will probably never happen over HDMI. VGA, dvi, and displayport are the connections vesa has created.
  17. 4k at 24" is a little much though. You can barely use it at that density unless you sit with your face pressed against your monitor.
  18. Price. It's around $300 unlocked in China. Compare that to the Iphone 5c which is closer to $700 in China.
  19. Its up $200 in the last 2 days...
  20. Its only available for stock android phones right now. I assume it will become part of default android with the next update. Seems like part of googles plan to move as many independent parts of android into the play store as they can.
  21. The effects of the issues gox has has already been seen and was the cause of the market drop last week. This is just the final nail in the coffin for gox and something everyone involved with bitcoin has been wanting to happen for a while. Counbase and btce have only been affected slightly by the issues so the overall effect was small in comparison to some other changes in the market.
