    Well, for beginners:

Waiting x amount of time creates lag, there are methods to work around these but they arent commonly used, however a good example would be Logitech, where different times for pressing and releasing are being used, or A4Tech´s IR Switch series, alotough they have a weird bug.

Also i hope that you are aware that the MCU is already debouncing to make sure that nothing unintentional reaches the PC.

Angle Error, Noise(jitter), malfunction speed, motion latency, resolution error, so, most things that actually arent(or rarely) used to advertise mice. ^^

As for what to look for, there actually isnt much you can look for in most regards, as MCU choice and especially Firmware are also impacting performance.

There is more to performance than just the Sensor, Firmware and MCU also play a big role, which is where obv. has been cheaped out for "muh 3360", the HT68 increases motion latency bringing it above levels of good 3988 mice.

woll3 got a reaction from benga in What DPI do you use?
Not really, especially given the map design in CS, the turning speed is only limited by what the sensor and your arm are capable of, easy example:

Player A uses 400cpi at 2 sens and moves the mouse at 1.5m/s
Player B uses 800cpi at 2 sens and moves the mouse at 0.6m/s

Obv. Player A will have faster cursormovement despite lower sensitivity.

~1ms difference in motion latency, not as smooth due to some errors in the polling, still better than 99% of other mice available though, no difference when used wired besides a different SROM.

It is probably using A5050, which is an office sensor, would suggest to rather save your money.

More hype than anything else, if the standards would be high people wouldnt recommend 10 year old Hardware with high motion latency.

woll3 got a reaction from TrigrH in Mouse sensor 3310 vs 3360: Worth waiting?
Well especially if you play at/want to use high CPI it is important as different sensors have different array sizes and noise levels.

TBH besides Roccat KPM i wouldnt use any 3310, those 4ms extra with a unmodified SROM just make it overall too laggy for my taste, and i prefer 12000fps at higher speeds, which makes the 3988/3989 a better compromise for me, or actually even the 3050, i would prefer the AM010/3320 overall though if my sensitivity would be a bit higher.

Reasonably priced DA alternatives? Cougar 550m and CM Storm Alcor,  Steelseries Rival 300 and Zowie EC1 are also options but pricing is far from reasonable given their Hardware. Gigabyte XM300 is a cheap option but has a wonky Firmware.

I mentioned it before, thats not a mouse, its a hamster.

It saves CPI and Polling Rate, as for the OP, there already is the Mamba if you want a "Featurebomber".

There actually has been a new Deathadder, altough it is a low cost alternative without Sidebuttons and PMW3320 for the Asian Market.

Why not take the G402, except Logi´s 3366 mice nothing can beat it performancewise, and you get the same amount of buttons as on the 502 without the heavy weight.

Or, what imo would make more sense, stop using the scrollwheel, and keep using the Sabre, segregating it into different games would only hurt you in the end anyway.

woll3 got a reaction from ApolloFury in Logitech G400s to G502?
Those 137g are with cable, G502(and any recent products) has been measured without the cable, actual weight of the G400 is 105-110g.

It is probably inspired by car design, the scrollwheel has the same colour as bronze rims. :> I told them to change it(and the chrome) but meh, swag is important as well for the mass market.

    Google is your friend.

If somebody can take advantage of whatever gear somebody is buying is one topic, but basically you are recommending sub par products for gaming because your own performance is sub par?

Not to mention that it isnt only about the Eyes and it also isnt only about reacting as moving a mouse is an action where you expect a certain response.

I also take you linking me to PCMR in any way as an insult.

    Which is just wrong.

First up, Polling rate isnt response time, only mice with good FW and Sensors actually achieve sending a signal in 1ms or under.

Second, Polling rate mostly affects the fluidity/smoothness of the cursor/crosshair, something that probably even a 60 year old Grandmother would be able to see.

Science is exactly what is going on with mice.

Thats what you should do, considering that you are projecting your sub par standards onto others.

It is getting OT but i am going to let this drag on.

It was you who has challenged the idea of gaming peripherals.

And yet there are better performing options for a lower price tag, so it doesnt even matter, especially considering that OP never stated that he needs wireless.

That contradicts what you said before, doing "proper settings" wouldnt be necessary if humans are blind moles with parkinsons.

I couldnt care less about your "real science" and rather care about my own experience, and what i have seen with my own eyes, and that includes having seen people who get motion sick when they are playing QL with just 60hz, wheres your science in such cases? And the one circle jerking is you, basically saying that certain products are unnecessary because you dont know how to take advantage of them, its like saying Soccer shoes are unnecessary because i can run with sneakers just fine.

I actually think that you are just in complete denial because you dont perform well in video games, if you cant tell the difference between 125hz polling and 500hz, i would suggest to see a doctor because something is wrong with you.

You just proved his point with your selection, ´which includes mostly casual and singleplayer games.

Then why would you recommend office mice with a MSRP of 100 dollars?

30$ are more than acceptable for a mouse with PMW3320, however the performance is subpar due to bad Firmware/MCU Choice, Mainswitches are also TTC.

Cable, Lighting and Sensor, PMW3366 is adjustable in Steps of 50, while AM010 is adjustable in steps of 80, which is what gave it away.

PMW3320, it is also based on an OEM Design which is for example used by the Fühlen CO300.
