  1. 50-5000 in steps of 50, also ADNS-3310 doesnt exist.
  2. it was fixed a long time ago, i never had to tweak anything for 1000hz under 8.1. IDK the exact reason, but if it would be possible somebody would have done it already.
  3. Compare the Sideprofile of the Kone with the Rat for example, and you will see what i mean, the Rat kind of forces a clawgrip, also there is the tilt problem with slideable palm rests. The Sensors(A9800, S9818, PLN2033) of the Mice you mentioned are objectively not as good for gaming as other options. I suggested the other mice based on shape and performance, and yeah i have/had all of them except the Ourobouros, also most peripheral reviews just suck. As for the weight, i advise against higher weight, it is only preference up to a certain point(imo at around 100g) and after that it is just unnecessary and a hindrance. The Rival is ~108g, the kone XTD Optical ~120g, while the x10 is 120g as well it is a lot smaller(114mm length vs. 135mm), the RAT is 150+g, and the Knossos should be 135g.
  4. Nothing, all of them are too heavy and you cant adjust the Baseshape or the slope at palm piece, which makes all of this imo useless in comparison with "one purpose only" Designs, i would rather take a look at the Roccat XTD Optical or the Steelseries Rival instead.
  5. The fixed ones with two added feet might be already available, also they wont be called 302+, the name stays the same.
  6. Not possible, its a hardware limitation, and last time i checked there was still no way to force 250+ hz on 125hz devices in 8.1. This is not needed anymore, it also doesnt help him as he needs to force 250/500hz on a 125hz device.
  7. No its not about MCU Processing Capabilities, just about the Datapath, imagine a 4 lane highway narrowing down to a 2 lane street and the traffic jam that results out of that.
  8. Yes, adjusting the Polling Rate by "hacking" windows registry with the old MLT04 mice(Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical, Intellimouse 1.1, Intellimouse Explorer 3.0) was and is common practice, MLT04 only has a 8bit Data path which causes negative acceleration at higher speeds, using 250hz and above increases the PCS to 1.55 m/s, unfortunately it is not possible with W8/8.1, or at least not as easy.
  9. No, or do you want to say that for Example, a G100s has the same performance as a RX250? I can agree on that when it comes to Audio, and in some cases Keyboards, altough the keyboard enthusiasts are a species of their own anyway. That Ninja Edit. There is more to a gaming mouse than CPI and buttons, there is Variance, Cursorquality, Responsiveness, Switches, so on and so forth.
  10. Only when talking about the absolute low end, otherwise the biggest difference is performance.
  11. Regardless of your input and wishes reality needs to be faced, so nobody should be disappointed if it is PLN or A9800, the button placement sucks anyway for low CPI or low sens usage.
  12. Regardless of marketed Audience, Featurebombers will be Featurebombers, and that includes high CPI for marketing, i dont understand your problem as there is still the Sica and Gladius in Asus lineup. It is not like they arent aware of certain sensor characteristics, but they have to make money as well, and the two who actually can change something have already done their part with 3988/3310, AM10 and 3366. LOD on latest PLN is pretty low which ofc reduces the impact of Z-Axis tracking.
  13. Because you will have soooo much trouble playing WoW with PLN or A9800 in your 200g wireless brick, btw. the reason G602 uses AM010 is power consumption, not because of its characteristics, altough that was one of the goals during development of AM010. No, AM010 is Logitech proprietary, closest would be PMW3320, which is the "public AM010". Other reasonable wireless Options would be the mentioned PTE and A3050, altough that one isnt high end at all.
  14. Its a Wireless MMO mouse, Sensor doesnt matter, its a marketing stunt if anything, and actually the most reasonable Sensor for it would be PTE because of high CPI and low power consumption, OP also spelled the mouse wrong, its Spatha not Sparta.
  15. Singleplayergames --> Lights off Multiplayer --> Lights on Easy.
  16. These companies are doing much more than just "microswitches for mice", also Omron made keyboard switches in the past as well.
  17. I havent written anything contrary to that.
  18. You know that Cherry has a Contract with Corsair to make Cherry RGB´s Corsair exclusive? Logitech is the only one using Omron, the rest, including Steelseries, Razer, QPad, etc., is using Kailh switches for at least their RGB Keyboards, not because they want to, but simply because they have no other choice.
  19. Well the sensor part should be streamlined and broken down, the thing is that it never was about the actual illumination method, Wikipedia isnt a good source in that regard as well, as for example it is not the laser illumination that enables a bigger picture, that would be like getting more Horsepower when you put more lights on your car...... What i did in the Mouse Suggestion Thread on CB was to break it down into a small glossar where i explained a few buzzwords surrounding the topic, it is simply easier for the reader to look at. -Grip Styles -Sensortypes -Angle Snapping -Cursorbehaviour/Jitter -Variance aka Acceleration -Lift Off Distance -Z-Axis Bug/Tracking -"Dynamic CPI Scaling" -Smoothing -Surface Compatibility -Firmware Influence And in each i was giving an example of a mouse and listed the sensors with certain "features" and how exactly it affects the user, regarding the sensortypes the most important part for me was to make clear that the illumination method isnt causing any given tracking properties, except PTE ofc.
  20. Thing is that you have to do a mold for each piece of the shell, otherwise it wont work, also they would be rather hard to make as the bosses have to be an integral part of the lower shell or base plate, actuators would actually work easily, but if it is worth the effort for him than why not. Well, it seems like they are offering manufacturing services, which could dtake the hardest part(Base plate, lower shell) from you. As in? You have to get to the drawing board and do it yourself, i would suggest making a 5 piece shell design, buttons and side pieces made in the way mdnorman38 suggested, base plate and palm plate out of Aluminium.
  21. I personally cant see how it would be practical for something that is hollow and consists at least out of 2 pieces. Not to mention that there need to be screw bosses and actuators for the switches as well.
  22. The thing is that making a functional shell isnt that easy, especially if you want to make it with "gaming design", these kind of shell´s are only possible to manufacture because they are made via injection. But if you really want to go through with that i would first look if you have any other means to "produce" near you. If anything i would rather take would than Styrofoam, it works in the case you have linked because it is basically just a fat blob with two actuators for the switches sticking outside, the mouse would also get really fat as the walls would have to be pretty thick, battery change cant be done as well as you would have to glue everything together instead of using screws, only other option would be an Interference fit, but imo you should just forget the styrofoam. And i have to repeat myself to say it is not worth the hassle simply because the internals arent worth the effort.
  23. I dont want to be a killjoy but i simply have to. A Layout like this Ergomouse isnt possible, the question is, are the internals of your broken mouse even dual-pcb? If not such a Vertical Design is impossible anyway. Another Option is to expand the Budget by like 15,000$ and get a Factory or Designstudio to do it for you.
  24. In all honesty, its not worth the hassle in any way, especially if you have no access to the right machinery. There would be no need for that as this is done by the "power" of the switches alone.
