  1. If Sensei Size fits you well then go Avior, if it is too small then go Naos?
  2. Mind sharing your train of thought on that? SQAT isnt Surface Tuning, as its name suggests, it is merely analyzing pictures taken by the sensor. As for QC, Mionix comes out of a well known Factory with whom they are closely working together with, overall its just standard.
  3. I dont dislike it, it is just simply not a gaming mouse, i would recommend that you take the 60$ and use them solely for a mouse, and save the rest up until you can get a Keyboard that can be called an upgrade. If you really need KB + Mouse at once, then go for the CM Storm Octane.
  4. If someone can enjoy Devastator it is just is a sign that this Person didnt need gaming peripherals in the first place, the mouse is an Officemouse with LED´s, thanks to its PAW-3309.
  5. The Razer Salmosa China Pro-Gaming Edition is the smallest i know of with 95.9 x 54.4mmx 33.3mm.
  6. Acceleration as in physical acceleration, not pointer acceleration, thats why the unit is g. No, there are Monoprice branded Zowie´s, but the Monoprice mice themselves are using office sensors.
  7. Nope, that SROM Update was for reduced smoothing, one Brand either simply misunderstood, or was deliberately lying. Edit: And just to mention it, its PixArt.

    New mouse

Why those three? What do you expect out of a new mouse? What kind of Grip? What kind of Sensitivity? For which Games? But anyway here are my thoughts on them: G402: responsive Sensor, but not the best at medium Speeds, Gyro gets the Job done, Shape is better for the "average Grip" in comparison to the old MX500 shape, Weightbalance could be better, Weight itself is okay, good clicks and low click latency. Mizar: relatively lightweight IMO the best shape of those three, Sensor has Variance("Acceleration"), depending on what and how you do it it might affect you, relatively lightweight, nice scrollwheel encoder. Imperator: Sensor is good on Hardpads, lowest Variance and very responsive, only problem is its "Dynamic CPI Scaling" which reduces the CPI while not moving or moving very slow, which makes it feel weird at lower Speeds, shape wasnt to my liking, weight was relatively lightweight.
  9. Well, you have written it as an absolute statement, which ofc is not possible when it comes to mice regardless of any technicalities. For which kind of Grip, Handsize, etc.? Iit wouldnt make much sense to buy FK1 if you have liked 3.0 Shapes.
  10. Good enough, transitioning takes about 10ms, the Gyro itself is more accurate than optical sensors.
  11. Well then, lets compare EC1-A and DA Chroma. EC1 uses Huanos, which are cheaper than Omrons, Chroma uses 3988, which is more expensive than 3310, EC1-A uses Cypress CY7C64215 which is from 2007, has less "power" and memory than Chromas Freescale MC9S08JM32, and is cheaper ofc, EC1-A uses a simplified Design of the DA 3G, which is overall cheaper to produce than Chroma, Internals of Chroma look cleaner than the ones from the EC1-A and last but not least the Zowie comes without any Configuration Software.
  12. Using competitive gamers isnt a good example, for reasons you probably know, i was forced to use many brands up till now, would i recommend each product i used? OFC not. Also some actually moved back to their old mice after having used Zowie´s. I use DA Chroma because i prefer the 3988 and the lower debounce times, its not perfect but the best compromise i currently have. I wouldnt call unstable polling rate like the evo had "decent", it was mostly fixed with the 3310 versions because 3310 has an internal oscillator, and syncing can still be improved, not to mention SROM updates. They already have everything together, selling mice with high msrp while using relatively cheap components and putting minimal effort into it, they have developed into something that is even worse than SS.
  13. It would seem so, but it doesnt, EC1 suffers from the same designproblems as DA3G/3.5G, like the sensitive right click, creaking top shell, Button Pretravel, and as any other mouse it can develop doubleclicks as well despite the high debounce time, newer MCU´s also sync better with USB Controllers, Zowie mice are also not flashable, so no FW Updates, and then there have been all the Coating issues in the past. Also worthy of mentioning is the fact that Zowie never updates their mice technically if they arent forced to do so because a part has gone EOL, that goes so far to not use SROM updates. Edit: MSRP is also far too high given featureset and components, and no, lower sale numbers have nothing to do with that. Edit 2: And Razer is one of the few brands who actually drive the market forward, without them there would have been no 3090 and 3988(and subsequently 3310) for example.
  14. Just to mention it again, EC1 is a redesign of the DA 3G by the same company and probably even the same guy, it also comes with hardware from 2007.
  15. CM Storm Alcor, Bloody v3, Corsair Raptor M30 and the upcoming Cougar 300m would be an Option.
  16. You probably know it by its "complete" name ADNS-3090, A3090 is the actual designation printed on the case. Even on "good" mice it can have a lot of influence, CPI, Variance, LOD, Malfunction Speed, all of those are affected just by changing the colour of the pad.
  17. Ofc colour impacts the performance of optical systems, how much depends on the mouse. So everything with A3090 would be bad according to your post.....
  18. Clawgrip actually works with DA because its shape is more pronounced, especially the thumb area, also depends on handsize ofc, also feels more natural to than the Rival with which my wrist gets forced up because of its arch.
  19. There isnt much to say since it pretty much comes down to shape, but: M45 is one of the rather bad implementations of the PMW3310, certain values dont seem to be set right and as a result the m45 doesnt feel as responsive as it could be. The mousewheel was also rattling and the actuator didnt sit completely on top of the mouse3 switch, m40 had the same. The Naos 7000 iks quite good implementation wise, but also not the most responsive, Avior had an FW Update which improved it, but no one knows if that also comes for the Naos, the huge dimensions are because of the ringfinger rest so the shape itself suits slightly above average, average and small hands more than large ones, it was also unnatural to me as it works against the way i want to hold it, for the record, my Hands are 19.8cm. Zowie EC is a dumbed down Deathadder 3G, there i said it, designed by the same company(and probably the same guy) with the same problems, buttons with pretravel, creaking top shell, the sidebuttons are horrible because they went for only two pcb´s, the Huano´s(they are actually a budget option), the MCU is from 2007, the debounce time is still too high, and also the FW is not flashable, if you want one with a improved FW, go buy a new one, but at least they got the shape right. Also i dont like Zowie´s attitude in regards to new SROM´s and Hardware, they are switching Sensors only when they go EOL, and SROM 6x for the A3090 has never been implemented, instead of having native 500cpi people were stuck with that interpolated crap.
  20. Its lower than others for sure, as good as a bad illuminated 3310 actually, but its not at the point where i would say i recommend it wholeheartly over the m45, also Sensitivity and Surface play a big role in that. As for the OP, the only thing that is really bigger than DA is the Kone XTD Optical, Naos 7000 might work as well, but it cramps my Hand because it is a "forceful" shape and not really that large, also instead of G502 i would rather recommend the G402 for big Hands, as it actually is the larger one.
  21. Indeed, altough CPate told me that there are people who complain that it is too light, nothing i could understand as it goes against logic. It is close to g602 with one battery.
  22. Small differences, but they can be noticed(3366 feels better at higher speeds to me, also overall cursorquality is better), altough i would prefer DA Chroma over 502 simply because of the weight.

    G502 or G303?

    G502 or G303?

Those sensors arent SoC, while you can expect similar peformance, it certainly doesnt have to be the same. That out of the way, in this case they perform the same, altough at least one person reported unstable polling rate, the two i have however dont have that problem.
