It has nothing to do with the game. It has everything to do with you.
Congrats. You're getting old.

Yeah Far Cry 3 has been on my to do list for quite a while but ive kinda gotten tired of the generic open world games lately so i might pass unless it goes really cheap (under 5€)

You really don't need to create 4 threads in 4 different sub forums for basically the same topic...

Well, I can tell you that staying off 64 player servers help. I mainly play 40 player operations and the game seems a lot more manageable like that. I think maps are too small for 64 player.
As you get better, you start dying less. But I will give you this, there are way too many snipers with 1 shot weapons in game. The game could defiantly use a cap to 80 or 90 max damage for sniper weapons removing 1 hit kills except for headshots.

No thanks, it's a lot more fun watching people get all butthurt when their dreams of AMD trashing Intel come to a grinding halt and they start questioning their existence in this world.

Iron couch reacted to ShadowCaptain in What is the ideal number of PC games to own?
What? there is no "ideal number", I dont even understand your concept
I want to own every game, and have as many differnet experiences as possible, hence having 660 steam games so far, (lets not count console, origin, gog, handheld, ios etc)

I work at a computer/cellphone repair shop. I have a wonderful regular who brought in her sister and her sisters two daughters to get a few phones setup and repaired before they go to Ecuador (her sister lives there). I look a little Hispanic and I am used to customers coming in and start speaking in Spanish to me before I awkwardly tell them that i cant speak more than 7th grade Spanish. I told this beautiful girl who can thankfully speak both English and Spanish to create an apple account for her mother. During this entire fiasco of an entire hour worth of stupid Apple BS, she kept going back and forth socializing with her family and coming to me for the account creation walk through. As I got fed up from requesting my "regular" to call her over every time I needed information I tried to ask her for her name. To impress her, I wanted to say it in Spanish "como te llamas?" which means, what is you're name? But instead of that, As me and her are within "kissing distance" of each other, as she is typing on the iPhone, I say "Te Llamo?", It sounds like "Te Amo" (which means, I love you" and all I think im asking for is her name.
When I say it the first time she giggles a few times but continues to create the account because she knew I didn't speak Spanish for the life of me. A few minutes later the entire family starts laughing profusely while I finalize the account. Later on in the day I ask my boss how to say "what is your name?" and he says what I was trying to say "como te llamas? Then I ask him why she was acting all weird about it because she never gave me her name. My boss asks me what I said to her, and I told him "Te Amo" which at the time I thought meant, "your name?". He starts laughing his ass off and tells me that I confessed my love to the girl instead of asking for her name. Now I cant stop thinking about her and how this situation could have gone any worse

And that's fine but it's a religious issue not a legal issue, something that should be argued in the church not at the supreme court.
Man people just want to live there lives and be treated equally that's all.

so this one time I was hanging out with my friend who is the manager at a tech shop by where I live and a girl comes in and buys a 2tb hard drive. we let her know that we install hard drives for $1 (the cost of the sata cable we use) and she says "just because I am a woman does not mean I cant work on computers" and leaves in a huff. two days later she comes back in saying that the HDD is not working so we take the computer in to look at it, we open it and the HDD is nowhere to be seen, so we ask her where it is. and it turns out that she scanned it and put the scanned image on her desktop to install the drive. and to top that off she threw away the drive she paid almost $200 for and she wanted us to give her a new one.
EDIT: feel free to quote this comment, I like seeing peoples reactions even though the comment is 2+ years old.
EDIT EDIT: still funny in 2021 keep em comin'

Iron couch reacted to Paperchase in Experiences with non-techies
Back in the 9th grade 2 other buddies of mine and myself started our own school project. Our project was to dismantle a computer, make our own case, and assemble the computer inside the case we built ourselves. For the longest time a friend of mine had been saying that he knows pretty much everything about computers. Turns out he didn't know anything, but i'll get back to that.
I went to a very cheap-ass school, so there were always trouble with the infrastructure there, so as you probably guessed the computers at the school crashed all the time. Also note that all of the computers were "hooked up" for lack of a better term to ONE Server. This was a big school with around 200+ computers all hooked up to this one server. (Recipe for disaster). Since all of the computers were connected to the same server that would mean that if there was one single error on the server, then all of the 200+ computers at my school would simply not work.
These computers all went down the drain atleast twice a week making them completely and utter useless. And everytime the system went down the teachers always asked this friend of mine that thought he knew everything about computers. Let's call him Bob to make it easier to follow. Anyways, The teachers would always have Bob look at the computers, and tell them what was wrong. Ofcourse he didn't know what he was talking about, so he said the following: "Yeah, mhm, okay. Yes it seems that you have gotten a network system error inside the processor, it will be back up in an hour". Yes, that is ACTUALLY what he said, let that sink in for a moment. Oh, I totally forgot; The time he said that it was a "Network system error inside the processor". the teachers were trying to figure out why there was no sound from the speakers. Turns out the audiojack was not plugged in.
Anyways I got really off-track here. My friends and I were assembling the computer into the case that we had built ourselves. When suddenly Bob came by. My friends and I were kind of annoyed at Bob, so we asked him "which one of these components is the motherboard"? I bet anyone here on the forum would be able to point out which component in a computer was the motherboard, right? Bob pointed at the HDD, of course we all laughed, because this was proof that he knows nothing about computers, and was just spewing bullshit all the time. After we all calmed ourselves down, I said: "well surely you know this is the graphics card, right? (I pointed at the CPU). Bob said: "Yes ofcourse, how dumb do you think I am? That's when I almost broke out in tears laughing.
Since that event he stopped claiming he knew everything about computers and was an "IT-Guru". Anyways, my buddies and I delivered in our assignment, and got ourselves an A.
Cheers! ;)
