Hi LTT   A little update on the project, unfortunately, just a bit boring, but it has to be.  A lot of preparation like sinking the screws in the aluminum ...     Another point is preparing the bracket for my GPU, it was planned to use my Asus 1060 Strix, but you can see that the GPU is too long and will later cover the glass bottle...  An alternative would be a 1650, 1660 Mini ITX, if anyone wants to sell one please let me know, thanks.      It was time to glue and prepare the first parts to start painting later, a lot of work and sanding is not my favorite job I noticed...        an insight into how the front is connected to the terminal. The aluminum angles are glued to the front and then screwed to the terminal and glued.        In the past few days everything was primed and some parts got some paint.        A good friend has a paint booth and I can use it for free                   Next step, control all parts if there a no big scratches or holes to fill, if everything is okay i will begin with the final color.       The problem with the fan is now solved... Noctua sends me 4 Chromax black low profile for this I would like to thank you very much!!      And that's why I made my first unboxing video, more videos will follow. So if you want to follow my channel I would be happy      Stay tuned...

Wasn't happy with my top CPU tube so redid. Much happier.

Pressure tested and all looking good. So now to finish wiring it up. Reckon I might actually be done this week.

Hi LTT   Today i will show you the next special thing of the project the new water tank  It is a glass bottle in Nuka Cola style.  The work goes on, but I am still missing some parts, many things are unfortunately not in stock, such as the keyboard, so I have to do everything else first.        I've already made the hole for the connection below, just need to glue the tube for the fitting and the label then the tank should be ready     More pictures soon, I've already taken more of my work, but I don't have the time to write the work log at the moment, so it is only a small update    Now I need to print parts for the tank and find the rest of the hardware I need and decide what to do with my graphics card. I think it's too long for that build    I wish you a nice Sunday, see you soon

Very slow going due to life and work catching up with me, but some progress. The radiators have been flushed and fitted along with the customised Noctua fans, I've run the 8 pin, front audio and case connectors, tweaked the rear fan fitment and done another couple of bits of tidying. I also painted the side of the GPU PCB with a black paint pen.

Just need to do fittings, tubing and the rest of the cables now and I'll be ready to leak test.

I'm particularly pleased with the rear fan placement now. Initially I had the full 30cm cable trailing up the side which looked awful, but checking my motherboard manual it has a case fan header right below the I/O cover. So I've used a short 5cm-ish Noctua fan low noise resistor cable to link the rear 12x15 with the absolutely minimum need for excess cables. I could have cut and crimped a new connector but frankly I can't be arsed and I don't think I'll ever run it over 1200rpm anyway.

I'm regretting not getting the CPU mounting bracket anodised black, and I definitely need a second GPU to fill out the case, but I'm really happy with how it's looking.

After a short delay in China, (probably Barrow or Blyski scanning it to make their own copy ) I received an exciting package from Malaysia.

    What could that be?

    Pump trial fit...very snug,

That should be it now- all components here, ready, present and correct.
    Now to build the thing.

Hi LTT finally i can show you some new stuff    After sealing with epoxy and sanding, a lot of adjustments had to be made one of it is the mounting of the front.     To fix the display frame and the keyboard frame to the terminal, I used a Pattex two-component adhesive, screws and an aluminum angel, now it shouldn't move anywhere.         You can see it's very tight, but it fits.  Only one thing does not fit, the fans on the front radiator (red circle) I measured it according to the CAD model it fitted, but in reality it is 3 millimeters too high.  So now the question should i mod my fans or should i switch zu low profile fans?        It doesn't look so good in the photos, but in reality looks really good once the screen is connected.   Now i have to search a 60% PCB for my keyboard, not so easy to get one and some parts for the water cooling are missing then i should have all parts together. I also have an idea for something special for the water cooling but it is still a long way        PLEASE STAND BY

Initially my plan had been to wait for the release of the NF-A12x25s in Chromax Black but those have been pushed until 2021 now. I thought I could hack my existing SP120s but despite being "quiet editions" they're anything but and really grate.

    Enter the NF-P12 Redux.

Picked up three of these for a little over a tenner each with the intent of experimenting on them. They're one of the few Noctuas on sale that actually still come apart in a non-destructive way (sort of, more on that later) and they're still pretty top drawer for radiator use. These are 1300RPM PWM models so nice and quiet.

I followed a couple of different guides for disassembly and ended up with a hybrid approach of popping the fan blades off without any kind of heating and extracting the motor/stator assemblies with a plastic spudger. However I didn't realise my cheapo one was damaged which left some marks on the PCB- thankfully despite their ugliness no damage to the traces and everything works as intended. New tool promptly ordered...

I used the rather excellent Plastikote matte black to spray the frames; despite being extremely careless, doing absolutely no prep or primer, and the first coat in the rain, they came out brilliant.

Unfortunately I forgot to put a drop of machine oil in one of them and when I went to pry it apart again, this happened:

    Bugger.

I've tried gluing the blade back on and will test for balance, but strongly suspect 'tis fucked. Oh well, at a tenner I don't really care. Already ordered two more...

Waterblock finally arrived today, it was the first time I had something stopped by customs. I initially wanted to do some progress in the meantime, but yeah, who was I kidding Anyway, this means I'm back at it and I don't want to take any long breaks before it's finished.

Finally nearing the end in terms of parts acquisition.
    Big bag o' fittings:

Spent a bit of time prepping, painting and then matt lacquering some of the 3D printed parts. GPU supports and pump bracket shown below, generally happy with the finish on these (not perfect around the screw holes but very flat elsewhere). I/O plate needs a little more work but already a world away from the previous run.

Pump should arrive tomorrow along with leak testing bits. Awaiting completion and delivery of distro plate. Only things I need now are fluid and tubing.

Having given it some thought I'm going to reuse the existing Corsair fans for now until the Noctua NF-A12x25 Chromax are released. Don't see the sense in splashing ~£120 on fans now only to want to upgrade them in the future.

So before this gets lost into oblivion, I did maintain this build to incoorporate dual-240 mm radiator with an unobstructed rear intake. I also changed out the feet of the original Ncase M1 so that the case can exhaust air through the bottom more effectively. Furthermore, I did also make custom cables for all the components so that there is significantly less clutter in the PSU area so that the drain port can be accessed better.

2 x Hardware Labs GTS 240 mm radiators. The bottom has 15 mm Noctua Fans, and are set in exhaust. I had to redo a lot of the tubing and also in the meantime ran out of black fittings, so you see the random nickel fitting on the left.

View of the rear side. While the custom length cables are easier in terms of being the right length, they are stiffer and so I had to resort to a bit of a janky routing behind the motherboard. However the cleanly available drain port is a huge plus

Equally clean front, with no excess SATA power. I guess if I wanted another one in future I would have to remake this cable, no biggie. You can also see my temperature probe on the left port as the other one I put in died shortly after moving.

Top view. The D5 pump and CPU block was replaced by a Eisbaer Solo LT. It really isn't powerful enough to be fully automonous in this kind of build. I in fact had to use a D5 pump/res to fill the system and then splice it out. Even after that there was a bit of air that you can see has accumulated in the top of this tubing. As this is a reservoir-less loop, I suppose that was to be expected. In future I could plumb in a smaller LT pump/res or just a T-valve up there so that I can remove this last bit of air.

Not immediately clear from the photo but I have a fan in the rear and intake just to balance some pressure and provide some minimal airflow to the board. Also I got a ARGB strip so that I could get rid of the bulky controller. Fans are also upgraded to Noctua A12x25 on exhaust. As an additional note, I had to move the power plug to the central position to clear the radiator and make space for the rear intake fan.

Hi LTT   Finally i am back at my project!! So it's time for a small update.   I painted parts of the terminal with the first epoxy layer          Now I have to wait for it to dry and then repeat 2 or 3 times before I can fit into the 3D parts. After fitting, all holes and scratches must be sealed with putty and prepared for painting.    There is still a lot of stuff missing what i need to finish the project and one of those things is the keyboard do any of you know where I can get DIY keyboards?   Stay tuned next update coming soon

More 3D printed parts from 3dpeople, again nylon SLS:

GPU support brackets, sized wide enough to enable me to use two screws to brace the GPUs and still provide spacing for two cards. Huge thanks to @kkpatel87 for the initial models from which these were printed.

Run 3 of the I/O cover, this time broken into two components for ease of painting (bottom yellow, top black). It's got a near-interface fit with the IO ports, just needs a ~2mm shim at the bottom.

Before you finish, check if your cables all ended up the same length. They should be close, but mine varied by like 2mm, so I trimmed the to the length of the shortest one.

Now strip the ends and crimp your Terminals onto the cables. It's a little tricky to make them all the same length.

To finish it off, stick those terminals into the plastic housing. Make bloody sure to get the right cable into the right hole. This doesn't matter much when you're just making cable extensions, but EVGA thought it would be funny to jumble them up.

And just like that, the cable is finished! Feel free to make any suggestions on what could have been done better.

Hi LTT   I can finally show you the aluminum frame! I cleaned and assembled it to make sure that all the parts fit together.            Tomorrow I will get the new side panels because the frame is now different from the wooden one, so I had to have new side panels milled. I will add more pictures soon.

Hi LTT   Here you see the old concept in wood and the new one in aluminum, as you can see there are small differences...        What I really need is a better place to get the worklog photos for even better shots, with photo lights, and maybe a black / gray background        Today I was able to get the last wooden parts, now they are still being prepared to match the others, then we can start assembling the terminal for the first time.   Stay tuned!

    Hi LTT,

Some new stuff for the Project

It took awhile to find a 1080p-Display that fits but after a Long time i found this beauty here

Sorry for the dust, but the acrylic is a bit sensitive to dust and my fingers

I bougt it on Amazon, actually is this a Display for the Raspi but after removeing some stuff that i don´t Need it was realy good quallity if some one Need a Display for home Automation or the Raspi then I can only receive it.

After a test with a Youtube Video with Resolution in 1080p i was surprised how clear it is.

The mouse is a normal touchpad. It was difficult to find one of this size.
I don't currently have the keyboard, but I have a special idea for the project...

Now some details to the CAD model

Behind the Vault-tec Logo are some leds to illuminate the logo... not so special...
The eye catcher are on the Right side you know the two white boxes a few updates before?

Some Nixie-Tubes, they Show the number 76....
At the Moment they are not tested yet it was no time for it but its on my to do list for next week...

    Next update soon…

Finished cutting the distributors and tapped most of the holes.  Have a few more to taps and a lot of countersinks to do.

This is the 1/4 inch O Flute Cutter I use for acrylic distributors.    Whiteside SA2075 Solid Carbide O-Flute

    Cuts very clean and fast.

Even with an Auto reversing taping chuck it still took 40 minutes as there are so many holes.

Did a fit check and it fits perfectly.

Also installed the concealed standoffs to hold the front on.
