I used to have this on algebra teacher in 7th grade and he hated me, for the entire year I’m not allowed to go to lunch, I have to go to his room. He also called me down out of my other classes if I somehow made out freetime. Well day we had this converstion, “What do you wanna be when your grow up mr.junii?”, I replied with honesty, “Anything with computers, maybe programming”, he replied in a assholish tone “you do realize that without algebra and you never studying for my class you will never be able to get a career in computers ever”, I replied “ I spent lots of time on computers, building, programming, and a whole bunch of stuff and I’ve never done anything related to math, not even a calculator”, he replied “nope that’s false you haven’t done any real work, my friend who’s a programmer always asks me for help with math, he’s lucky to have me” After that I’ve done PhP, Lua, C#, SQL, HMTL, CSS and if I ever learned something was to pay attention in language classes not math class or even computer class, anyways I’m gonna visit this asshole one day and confront him because he’s made lots of kids think that if they don’t learn in his class they will never become doctors, car mechanists, programmers. Sad life he lives, just not something you should tell a kid...

So here is one for you, about audio tech - a situation literally from yesterday. No bashing, just humorous accidental disrespect
 
Quick background: my girlfriend is very casual about tech. It's just not her thing. She has no idea what hardware sits in a computer, what is considered high quality and more importantly, how much stuff costs. Now, I don't lie to her about the cost of my hobby but I never volunteer the information. She just never asks and doesn't seem to care. It's fine since I have no idea how much the stuff she buys costs as well.
 
Main event: the evening. I'm playing with some music while she goes to the bathroom and suddenly she opens the door and says this to me:
 
"You know, your headphones leak sound so much that not only did I hear your music from the bathroom, I was also able to tell that you were listening to Lindsey Stirling"
 
I look at her sheepishly and turn the volume knob down - admittedly, she was out of town for a couple of days for holidays so being the only one in the apartment, I was listening to my music liberally and perhaps on the louder side. It's entirely possible that it was too loud. Also, I started the track before I put my headphones on so it's possibly she picked it up louder than it really was supposed to be.
 
But she is not done.
 
"Maybe you should consider changing those crappy headphones for something better that will not leak sound?"
 
And there I was, mouth ajar, looking at my $4000 MSRP Focals, looking at my GF, torn between telling her the truth about what kind of gear this is and just suffering in silence. Ultimately, she didn't give me any chance to respond because she went back to the bathroom and later we didn't bring that up at all
 
Apparently I will have to explain the difference between closed and open headphones because she is genuinely convinced that because she can hear my music it must mean that my headphones are poor quality.

Honestly the 4770 ain't bad so you will survive on the cpu / mobo / ram until we see how Zen / intel response is. With your GPU upgrade it should make it very decent.

The peasantry is strong with this one.

Now just imagine when Linus's kid has to use a school or office PC.

i am using an xfx hd 7850 dd 2gb at 4k... its not exactly smooth
 
and an rx480 i could put in my rig and put the hd 7850 in my little brothers rig

Stick with the 780 and get the 1080. I'm personally going to upgrade to the 1080 from a 780 Ti.

hi i have a blue switch keyboard and i wont the buy the ttesports zinc alloy keycaps but alot of people say they are too heavy for blue switches is that true or?

I was wondering if anyone owns this keyboard and what you say are things that make it a good keyboard and things you think could of been done differently.
 
Also could someone help explain Cherry MX Browns a bit further, can you feel a click from them but no sounds unlike blues or can you not feel any click like Reds?

I will be very likely to move to Europe sometime soon (to Germany to be exact) and I would like to bring my PC setup with me. Now I know they have a different system of electricity there and my power supply does not have one of those handy dandy switches on the back. Would it be better for me to just go and buy a different PSU for my PC or would a power converter do the job? Also would a power converter work for my two monitors? I would prefer not to sell them since most tech is a bit more expensive over there and I'm quite fond of them. And last, does anybody know what would be the best way to ship my PC? Woul it be better to just put the whole tower in a box and ship it or should I put all the components into their individual boxes (which I luckily kept) and then sell the case and buy a new one (because it is quite big and heavy). If anybody has some advice and experience with this sort of stuff please let me know. Thanks in advance!

The GTX690 as such is not produced any more, because it runs on an obsolete GK104 chip (or better said two chips). All you can do is search the web for a used one or something left in stock that was never sold, but chances are slim for that.

Good point on the Titan Z though, but did'nt EVGA have a 2-slot ACX card that they were showing off at one of the shows (I can't remember, maybe it was PAX?)

my case is the bitfenix prodigy so i can only have one gpu and at the moment i got the titan and i am building a pc for my bro and im giving him the titan and i want a dual gpu card
