Wouldn't they see that I took the stock cooler off? Doesn't that void the warranty?

Some bad news. I let it dry for over 24 hours. It was completely dry. I used alcohol and a brush to deal with the residue. I put it in the system and there's no signal. There are 3 red leds on the card, presumably error leds, and they all lit up. Amazing. 900 bucks down the drain. Can't believe it. I assume it's impossible to actually repair these things. Whatever. Now I gotta wait months to get another one and spend another 900 bucks. What a waste. Anyway, sorry to rant, just very frustrated.

Hey everyone. Got my shiny new 3080 with a waterblock. I had to take it out of my loop to do something with it, but while draining the loop, the water spilled all over it. Obviously there was no power in the system. I dabbed the excess water from the pcb and put alcohol on it as well. I have it drying in front of a fan right now. It seems dry. But there is some residue from the coolant on the pcb. It's a clear, premixed coolant from ek. I'll attach a pic. Am I screwed or should I be ok? How long should I wait to put it back in the system? Hey everyone. I've currently got an i7 4790k paired with a GTX 980 Ti. I've been thinking about upgrading at some point for Cyberpunk 2077. If I upgraded my CPU, I would probably go with the i7 10700k mostly because I can reuse my current waterblock. And if I upgraded my current GPU, I'd probably go with the RTX 3080. I play at 1440p. Which upgrade path would give me the more substantial performance increase, CPU or GPU? Thanks so much for your help!

Hi everyone! I have a few PWM fans connected via a three fan splitter to a fan controller. Everything was working fine and then suddenly one of the fans ramped up to full speed. I tried connected it to a different lead on the splitter and different headers on the controller, but it's still running at full speed. Is it possible that something on the fan malfunctioned? Has anyone ever experienced something like this? Thanks for any help!!

Unfortunately my mobo is a z97 board and doesn't have any rgb headers. I bought the EK loop connect controller.

So I plug the pump header into this and then into the 3 pin controller?

Hi everyone. Wasn't sure where exactly to put this so sorry if it's in the wrong place. I have a res with 4 pin rgb cable and an rgb controller with only 3 pin rgb headers on it. Obviously the res's rgb didn't work when I plugged it in to the controller. Is there anything I can do to make this work? I didn't know anything about rgb when I planned this. Thanks for the help!

Ok great. One last question for ya. Will those nickel flakes cause issues for my pump and cpu block other than accumulating in the fins?

So will this be a big problem going forward? Or should I be good as long as I use a good coolant?

Hi everyone. Just got this EKWB on Ebay. I have a Gigabyte 980 ti G1 gaming gpu so this was my only option as they don't sell these new obviously. I opened the water block and saw this. Is this anything to be concerned about? Can I clean it? Any info would be very helpful. This ia my first custom loop. Thanks!

Hey guys, I have an N64 that's connected to my TV with the original composite cables. I had the urge to go back and play some of those games with my dad and I was curious if I could improve the video quality at all. After looking at some comparisons between composite and the other options like S-video and the UltraHDMI mod, I honestly don't see a huge difference. Does anyone have experience with these "improvements"? Do they really make that big of a difference? I'm thinking of either going s-video with an external scaler or getting it modded. Thanks so much guys!

Yeah take a look at the video quality of those stock cables. It sucks!!! haha Never realized how much it sucked until now.

I mean it's not as sentimental. I'd rather play on the Gamecube.

Yeah the system itself isn't the problem, it's the damn cable that enables you to take advantage of that port that's hard to find. It costs about 200 bucks on ebay.

Awesome. Yeah I put that game in just to see how it's held up over the years and I was like, "I used to think this game looked awesome! Now it looks like shit." But thankfully it was just because of those damn cables. I'm going to go look around at some thrift stores to see if I can find one of the component cables. I think there's a chance that someone just gave them away because they didn't know what they had. If I have no luck, I'm going to go with the S-video. Thanks for all your help! Thanks! I think i watched one of these. Question: does the type of S video cable that you use make a difference in the video quality? I've heard that some S video cables actually look similar to composite.

Wow thanks for this! Now here's a question: If I have an HDTV, will the S video still look that much better than composite?

I'm probably just going to go look through some pawn shops or thrift stores. Maybe I'll get lucky. I just bought the minish cap! Huge Zelda fan but i never really played any of the 2d games. I've heard they're great though. I really want to try to get though them before the new one comes out which looks really fantastic.

Oh yeah i know the story. It really sucks. I think I would pay 100 bucks for one if i could find it. I don't know that anyone would be that generous though...and I have a Wii, but it's just not the same as the gamecube....
