  1. I need to build a AutoCAD workstation, Looking for a 6core Xeon @ 4.5ghz & a Quadro Card. Where can i get a Xeon e-2286G from a retailer in canada, none on newegg or PC Part Picker also I really want to get a p4000 quadro, there are a few refurbished around. Does anyone have experience on buying refurbished cards and can comment?
  2. I don't know that AMD is good for Autodesk Product, plus the rest of your build is bang on. Upgrade the Xeons
  3. Has anyone from Canada ordered anything from this online store? After Shipping, taxes, etc. was it work it?
  4. IMO, I think that for it to be "The Slowest Computer Contest - Is yours the Worst?" it should be your daily driver not your old machine in the closet.
  5. Ya , i don't know what video linus brought this up in but he needs to do this setup and video. I've been contemplating this same configuration. Any videos covering home networking and setups = good. Anyone else want to see this?

    Free VPN

Hey does anyone think it is a concern if the VPN is located in the US? Can you pay for FrootVPN using a starbucks or wallmart cash card?
  7. I have a friend whose website is so slooooooooowwww!!!! If the webdesign and layout is done. What is the most economical and fastest hosting company in canada to go to?
  8. That sarcasm? or you serious. If you got to the Kodi forum you could probably find cheap low power box for your "Entry level HTPC." ATV2 is good there are alot of low power andriod (arm/tegra) boxes as well. I'm not familiar with android. But for a full ubuntu OS i would go with a nuc. I was using an i3 (Ivy) with like 3000 onboard intel graphics and it was a mint. plus updating the kernel to a low-latency desktop made the fan art and everything load faaassstt.
  9. Why not an Intel NUCs' for both?
  10. Last year thought I saw a sale on gift cards. $100 gift cards were 15% or 20% off, ie. $80-85. The nice thing about gift cards is that they can be used with sale priced items, therefore, you can effectively "stack" discounts. I am hoping it was an annual sales event. But maybe it was a one shot deal.
  11. Does anyone know when NCIX as there gift Card Sales?
  12. There is a border around my monitor about 15-20mm that is not being utilized. Like the output is smaller than the actual size of the monitor. Though, in grub it's full screen.
