  1. Well that's the thing I can't even check. I try going to my device manager and it hangs for a minute. I've tried everything I don't think it's a hardware issue.
  2. Is my Windows CD corrupt?I keep reinstalling Windows and it hangs. I get an error something about shadow copies.
  3. Thanks lad, I'll go with the 1060 Noise/Heat, the only card that I could find that was as quiet is the MSI 480 and it's the same price.
  4. i5-3570k Yeah, that's one thing I noticed. Most of the reviews were only for 1440p
  5. So I was trying to decide between one of these. I have a 650W PSU, 1920x1080 monitor and I use a tiny case (Bitfenix Prodigy) so I'm not sure if the added heat from the Fury will hurt my temps. 1060 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16814127963 or R9 Fury http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202186&ignorebbr=1 Both of which are $289.99 USD. I'm only worried about the much larger power consumption from the R9 Fury to the 1060. The Fury draws about 300W while the 1060 only draws about 120W. Both are pretty quiet, each of them under load reach 37 DBA apparently (Someone can correct me on that) and both seem to stay pretty cool (Nvidia - 67c and AMD - 75c). I'm just worried about the VRAM to be honest. 6GB vs 4GB. I don't play GTA5 or Assassins Creed, I know those two are memory hungry. I'll mostly be playing BF1, DOOM, Overwatch. Games like that. Thank you for any help :3
  6. I've had my eyes on the Gaming X to begin with, but man, to think I'm paying $30 more for mostly a backplate and LEDs is just depressing. I'm trying to decide between the Gaming X and the regular MSI 1060. My question is, what's the difference? One is $10 more.
  7. I'm not going to see it except when I take the panel off so I'm good. I find the black and red scheme to be overused anyway. Thanks for the concern. I'm just worried about temps/quietness. I heard once you flash the BIOS with the EVGA, the temps go from like 65 degrees to 74, but the fans do get a bit quieter. I'm just worried about one fan. ASUS is great if stuff works, their customer service is pretty awful though. Also there is an EVGA 1060 with two fans, but it's $300. The MSI one is $290, so I figure if I'm going to spend $300, I might as well save $10 and get a backplate.
  8. I'm trying to decide between the MSI 1060 Gaming X (Hard typing that out without cringing) and the EVGA 1060 SC (Single fan). I'm currently using a 7950. I'm trying to weigh the pros and cons, let me know what you guys think and what your experiences have been. EVGA Pros - Cheaper ($260) - EVGA has great customer support - The cooling is apparently very good and the one fan runs very quiet Cons - Still worried about the temps - Need to flash the BIOS for 0% fan speed on idle MSI Pros - Two fans - More trusted cooling system (Twin Frozr) - Software seems to be better or more intuitive Cons - $30 more for LEDs I don't care about and a backplate - I've heard about some people having problems with this card I'll be using a 1920x1080 display (144hz), no SLI, and I don't care about LEDs or a backplate. I don't mind spending $30 for an extra fan or better cooling. I want great performance, but I also want it to be quiet and cool, my case isn't really that great at retaining noise.
  9. Okay, thank you. I have an NF-F12 on my Hyper 212 Evo. They're nice fans, $20 each though. I think I paid $16 for my 200mm fan. I was considering getting Phanteks or be quiet! ones, I trust Noctua is quiet, but $37 for two 120mm vs $30 for two 140mm fans for slightly better cooling isn't worth it for me. I was considering getting the 200mm Spectre Pro, but it seems really hit or miss. I heard the Antec TwoCool 140mm are good, I'm just trying to find something reputable. It seems like no matter where I look people say something different.
  10. I recently purchased a Coolermaster Megaflow 200mm fan for my BitFenix Prodigy to replace the 140mm stock fan for intake. Mainly for noise reasons. It worked fine, but the rattling started about a week ago and got progressively worse. It rattles a ton on a cold boot, it gets quieter after a while and I can only hear it if I put my ear up to the case. Perhaps I'm being pedantic, but it gets super annoying after a while and leads me to believe it's only going to get worse. I could get another one, but reviews I keep seeing basically say the same thing (At least the negative ones). I was considering getting a BitFenix Spectre Pro (200mm) because BitFenix case + BitFenix fan = a good fit. Right? Well all the reviews are hit or miss. My question is, do you guys have a 200mm you'd recommend, or do you recommend just getting a couple 140mm fans for intake? I'm open to ideas, I'm not super annoyed by the slightest noise, but since my computer's on my desk, I prefer it to be as quiet as possible. The Prodigy is full of holes so it's hard to make it completely silent. I just want good air flow and for it to be pretty quiet. Thanks for any feedback!
  11. I ordered a Asus Xonar U7, was curious, people say AIOS uses a lot of CPU usage, is this true?
  12. Which would provide a better sound quality, I'm assuming an amp. I just want something that'll be better than my onboard audio, which is Realtek® ALC898.
  13. That's the thing, my audio port is fucked, so there's no chance in that happening.
  14. I have 558s, and was wondering which would be superior, and which ones in particular would you guys recommend.
