paradoxmatthew got a reaction from Guest in Corsair H110i GT vs GTX?
Could someone explain which of these will generally give better cooling? I understand this but not the pressures and such. Sorry.

paradoxmatthew reacted to aneil1998 in 980ti with 720p screen
The power of a 980ti on a 720p screen will be like a 5960x just to play minesweeper

If you plan to upgrade later then sure go Pentium but if not get the Ahtlon X4 860K!
A dual-core is kinda ya know? Some games cannot even run on it and well stutters can happen! :c

paradoxmatthew got a reaction from werto165 in What game(s) have you played most?
I have massive amounts of hours in GTA V (accumulative over X360 + PC), at least 400hrs, if we're talking series, Halo I have probably 1000hrs, I've played it since I was four years old.

BeamNG drive, now that's a game that I can get behind, no idea how I managed to amuse myself for 20hrs with just messing around, but the mods are just too fun. I assume you've done mods if not do it now.

Halo was sooo good, but I dont think I could go back to it now, I have become too accustomed to mouse and keyboard, and I just feel like a flailing gorilla when I'm using a conrtoller for FPS games. Halo 3 split screen was AMAZING, 4 player split screen on valhalla , also forge was really really fun too. I wish they'd bring it to PC now.

For me it's probably hearthstone, I don't even want to know how many hours I have in that game, luckily blizzard don't count it. Games that I actually have stats for:
battlefield 3 -> 219hrs
battlefield 4 -> 354hrs
CS:GO -> 171hrs
skyrim -> 92hrs
What are your most played games?

paradoxmatthew reacted to Aytex in Case Mod :D
if it looks rubbery its plastidip
if its smooth and sleek like gloss its spray paint

paradoxmatthew reacted to LIGISTX in Modding GPU
Yea, its very easy to use for someone who isn't used to painting, but practice helps a lot. The first few things I dipped on my car came out meh, these days I can paint anything with dip and it looks pretty damn professional. The components of my build (besides corsair fan rings) where dipped, and they look damn good.
Also, don't clear coat over dip, any paint ontop of it makes it really hard to get off. If you want to do clear coat or anything, look into the clear coats plastidip makes, dip on dip = more dip = easier to pull off later

Plastidip pulls off just like a vinyl sticker would, as long as you put down enough material. Basically youtube dip your car and follow Fonzi's steps and guides. Its all the same, car, computer, whatever. Plastidip is plastidip, and its amazing!
And as far as it being an insulator, anything you spray onto it will be an insulator. But, it doesn't matter. You may, and i mean seriously "just maybe possibly" will run 1 c warmer, but probably not. It will run within the variance of the temp reader. The aesthetic parts of the card lead to basically negligible amounts of cooling, back plate included. Plus, neweggtv did a test and they legit plastidipped an entire heatsink once, fins and all. They said it only went up a few degrees c, and that was dipping directly onto the fins lol. You will be fine as long as you don't go and try and dip the heatsink, and even then you will probably still be fine as 970's are not exactly the hottest cards out there, although no, I do not at all recommend dipping the heatsink itself.

paradoxmatthew reacted to Matthew10550 in Dropping frames in GTA V while driving
My setup:
Motherboard: ASUS H971-PLUS
Cpu: Intel core i3 4150
Storage: 128gb adata ssd, 1tb WD BLUE
Graphics: AMD R9 270x
Power supply: 600w
When I play GTA V on medium-high settiings, I get around 60fps and it looks great. I never drop frames even when I am on a massive killing spree, blowing up a lot of things, etc. But when I start to drive, even very slowly I drop to around 15-25 fps. I have heard that other people have had this issue and I should just update my drivers. At this time, there doesn't seem to be any driver updates. The only reason I can think of is that GTA is on my 7200rpm hard drive and not an ssd. Thanks!
