Jokrik got a reaction from SirReallySam in Mechanical Keyboard Club!
Nice set man,
We have a similar setup , just wondering what OS are you currently running?
I'm having problem setting up the software on 8.1 (yeah you helped me, the steps are taken and done but none change due to 8.1 from my research)
latest software supported is windows 7 from what I read,
anyway this is my latest after I received a surprise package from Binge

What kind of info do you need for the springs?
All I know is that it's gold plated springs, and vary from 60g to 120g, yes.... 120g
I bought various kind of it including the 100g and 120g

Jokrik got a reaction from Darkman in [Build Log] "Phenomenon" Switch 810+Pedestal
Phenomenon
About this build log:
I've been a pc enthusiast for just about a year and a half. Building a gaming rig for just a "so-so" experience was only my goal at that time. I've started with a medium class build using a single average graphics, however as time goes by ; I've got a plague  by reading enthusiast forums to demand more from my rig; adding an SLI setup was my option at that time. Running games on the highest setting possible with no lag or issue was my next goal , than it turned nasty! I was actually starstruck when I browse a section of the forum called "OCN Water Cooling Club and Gallery" :P .
From there everything just seem blur and here I am making a build log for fun (since I enjoy building this rig so much) with a total of 1080 of rad on my switch with a little modding here and there.
Whats with the name?
The theme for my build was actually taken/inspired by how many people hated the CSQ design on the EK Waterblock. I'm not promoting or anything , I've actually used many other water cooling brand in the setup but with this in mind. Probably this build would inspire people to rather than blaming on how bad the design of a product to actually make it work by inserting ideas and solutions into it. I've actually dont mind the CSQ thingy therefore taken a theme from "CROP CIRCLE" which is a phenomena and I find it (still) amazing; (although there are bits of argument on the true nature of it here and there). I've came up with the name "Phenomenon"
What will be in this build?
What I can say is that I will use the same components from my lastest build including the case to save cost. What I will do or try to show in this build log is to make this Switch 810 more eye-popping in term of performance and look. I will be using a total of 1020 space of radiator (480+360+240) with the help of DWOOD Pedestal (which I've already received and LOVE it!) since my ultimate goal is to get a 5c Delta on CPU temp. This goal is pretty way up there since it gets pretty hot without air con in Asia
Most of the components I've chosen are the one that fits in my build color theme. Whats left is that to add a more color fit water cooling components which is already on its way from the USA
The most difficult hurdle I've got is that I am currently located in an Asia country where to to get the water cooling component is limited and pricy. I've ordered from FrozenCPU but sometimes the shipping cost is not worth if I buy in small quantity therefore Im trying hard to order all at once and if something got left behind I'll see what I can find in my own country
The build will also use some laser cut to make the pattern which I've drawn on pieces of acrylic

Ok as promised, I've spent most of my day yesterday assembling the case, had some minor issue but its fixed apparently I've mistakenly installed one of the back panel upside down and ended up unable to mount the side panel the case in the manual is matte black and they print the manual in black and white.... I've a lot of goodies came in yesterday, not gonna flood you guys with plenty of product shoot photo pretty sure you can see the product photo in their website or any other build log Anyway here's the half assembled Caselabs SM8 Honestly I know I didnt choose the wrong case, this case has everything I want a case to be well built and that full Al and here's the fully assembled one, pardon me for the finger prints In the other hand I've received new package for my water cooling I'll be using a rigid tubing from primochill, the fittings will be all black from primo and bitspower and the tube will also be black though I'm still not sure whether this all black thing would work' I'll see how it goes if it doesnt look good I'll get some other color tubes anyway I'll be using a Di water for this time, I'm done with colored coolant staining my blocks The other thing that excites me the most other than the case is the reservoir man now I know Aquacomputer make some serious stuff, the quality of their reservoir is just outstanding and new CPU block for the highlight in the case Lastly, as I've said MORE STAR WARS Wanna share my love for keyboard as well, this thing just came in yesterday along with the watercooling stuff its a Korean custom keyboard with custom keyset This is just a few of my custom keyboard collection

Updates! This would be a very quick and small update, the build will be finished soon All I need is to wait for my final package from Frozencpu (which already in the custom) containing low 90 adapter and some bolts for my fan radiators The package will be here on Monday Meanwhile I've finished the res of the tube bending except for the one from GPU to South Bridge (which require the low 90 adapter) Pardon me for the crappy picture, its really hard to take good photos at midnight, after 2 hours of straight tube bending and with warm lighting I've forgotten to take pics of the tube running from top rad to CPU block, guess it will have to wait until the loop is all done The hard tubing is pretty tricky to be photographed, wrong angle and the tube would look off while it is actually straight On another note , I have a lot of dust sitting in the case due to long waiting period So I decided to take it all off today, and do final cleaning including washing the tubes and polishing it with car polish wax and make all the nickel shinier These are all the tubes and fittings I'm using (total of 20 compression fittings)
I still can't resist how good the GPU block is , And the CLU is ON! Thx for holding on til now, big thanks to whoever currently reading this next update would be the final tube, cables and leak testing (I hope

Another day, another updates! All I can say is that it's nearly there Without further ado So I have the last order from the US came in, contain some of the last adapters and plugs I need Also bought a couple of fans just in case ... I have taken all the tubes off and clean them to remove the tube bits from sawing and also polished it to remove some scratches during the bending with car wax The compression fitting can easily scratch the tubes And I've finished bending the tube from South Bridge to GPU Another view And the fan hub has also arrived , I can now control all the fans there will be more sleeved cables coming tomorrow especially for the LED (I will be using NZXT LED I have laying around) and for the fan controller cables Lastly, I've played around with the cables management It's not perfect and I'll mess around with it more later
Next stop would be the long awaited leak test, it's pretty nerve wrecking since I've no experience with hard tubing We'll see how it goes finger crossed -

Updates! I received the motherboard block, and the custom charged me 40$ for it which is suck Took me quite a while to take off the ROG led, one of the screw was dull and I've tried tons of ways to unscrew it I dont think I'm going to use the VRAM block for a couple of reason 1. I like the heat pipe on stock VRAM 2. I dont think the VRAM creates tons of heat when I tested it, the heat was more on the southbridge since its located near the GPU's 3. I'm not ready to modify the stock VRAM heatsink, I can easily cut the pipe but... In the other hand I realised that I have a problem with the AC backplate, its too thick thus it clashed with the ram clip ; the GPU won't go through all the way in to the pci-e slot after asking around actually there are also people who's having the same problem and one way to solve it is to cut the backplate so its Dremel time, took me a while to cut the backplate since it's pretty thick sorry for the crap picture on this one, I think I hit the tripod at slow shutter
After more polishing, filing and touch up Job done! I've also painted the temp panel to black, the panel is made of thin aluminium and where it's gonna be placed the build is nearly there, I've a final order from frozen which will come in a week or two in the mean time I might work on the tubing

So as I've said, there will be consistent update from now on. And today I decided to start on dressing the GPU's and radiators So I tested the fans, it seems that the fan port splitter doesn't work if downvolted to 7v, I have to get a handmade fan port splitter in this case. What bothers me is that its pretty hard to get a black pcb fan splitter and I wont stop until I get one. An all dark color build have to be all dark and test fit the rad
Still cant test fit the 480 rad due to the length of the screws which is a tiny bit too short . The shortage is due to Caselabs drop mount system which resulted in an alu plate run in between fans and radiators moving on... Let the undressing begun
I was stuck with the unscrewing part since the guide from AC is so minimal, for those of you who are taking the stock cooler of 290's Make sure you check the two screws near the ports, it's the two screws on the left (see picture)
And she's naked!
It's time to clean her
The indigo cleaner really does make a difference for easy TIM cleaning, you can see my hand reflection. And no, I did not edit the photo It's pure sensor camera play with good lighting and Indigo cleaner
I was planning to use CLU on the GPU, but seeing how compliated the PCB on AMD GPUs compare to NVIDIA I decided to only use my trusty ICdiamond, and MX-4 on the RAM module This is the Active XCS Backplate I was talking about, the backplate is aluminium . Love how solid it feels Had to take off the stock terminal and replace it with the one included in the backplate. It has heat sink build into it And applied some TIM on it DONE! -

Updates! So its been yet another busy days at work I received these today Bought the fan controller since my plan to split the fans using fan hub at 7v is a failure due to voltage reason not being stable/cut down during start up I love how the sentry mix look since the first sentry, I used the first version on my previous build this is how it looks on the case The new psu is also an upgrade, I've been re-calculating the wattage use of this build and its on the edge of "recommended PSU" of 856w While I have a lot of stuff which requires power from the usb port, decided to get the 1000w On another note, after watching the monsoon bending kit video on youtube over and over again I set up a bending station, pardon me if its such a mess again as I said before, my house under heavy renovation so a lot of stuff are laying around Result: Will be doing more bending in the next couple of days expect more update soon!
