  1. Alright guys I very much apprecitiate the help! I went with 2 NF-F12 PWM and 2 NF-A14. I mark this as solved.
  2. What's the main difference between the NF-A15 and the NF-A14 suggested below? I have to mix wth 120mm since the H80i is a 120mm radiator. What is the difference between pressure optimized ones and normal ones and what difference does it make in the case? I am aware that the benefit won't be substantial but it's more of an investment since I inted to keep the case+fans for a couple of builds. What's the main difference between the NF-A14 and the NF-A15 suggested before? Well like I said I am just beginning to dive in into more advanced cooling but I only heard good things about Noctuas. Its more of an investment since I want to keep the case+fans for a couple of future builds. I look into phantek fans but they aren't sold where I live.
  3. Hey Guys, since I am pretty new to more than the default fans I need some help here. I am planning to move my PC from my old case to the Define R5 and I want to replace the default fans with Noctua ones since I only heard good things about them and I want quiet fans for which I can adjust the speed. I am looking at 2 140mm fans for intake at the front of the case and 2 120mm outtake fans which would be at the back cooling the Corsair H80i CPU cooler radiator for a i5 4670k. Now there are many different Noctua fans with different pins and speeds and thats where I need some help to find the correct ones. The second part of my question would be if I should use the built in case fan controller or plug the fans on the MoBa the Asus Z87 Deluxe to set up custom fan speed controls. Besides that I have a Asus GTX 780 DC2OC and a Corsair AX760i Power Supply in the case. Thanks in advance!
  4. Hey guys I am looking for an 13.3 inch ultrabook suggestions. The form factor is set in stone. No Apple products either. For the ones who would suggest the Razer Blade it is not available in my region. I am not under time pressure I could wait a couple of weeks/months. Besides having decent battery life (duh) I am looking for the following stuff. preferably 1080p and not higher no touchscreen not a Core-M product light gaming (Dota 2, Crusader Kings II, EU IV, Emulators, Gang Beasts etc.) + HDMI connector ( I want to use it as a portable "console") 8+ GB of RAM (tab fiend) possible hardware upgrade I did my own research and came up with the mentioned ux303ln. I am looking for people who own one and did hardware swaps (hard drives and RAM) who I could ask questions. The other possibility is to ask you guys for other suggestions not all the above stated options need to be met. The price range is anything up to approx. 1600$/1500€. Thanks in advance guys! PS: Did anyone hear rumors about the ux303 successor when it's supposed to arrive/specs?
  5. It seemed to me as the perfect solution but it didn't find any partition and shows that the size of the 4TB drive is just 1800GB. I am gonna do thorough scan tomorrow . Recuva is behaving really weirdly. When I try to open it nothing happens but a process starts for recuva besides I am not sure if it can recover stuff from unformatted drives but I'll try it out once I get it to work. Doesn't work for unformatted drives. But thanks for the effort.
  6. It seems it isn't. It doesn't offer me any shrinking so I guess it's just unformatted. But thank you for the help. This programm seems to see the files the only issue is with the free version it supports only recovery of 1 GB Thank you for the welcome. I ran the analysis and the hard drive seems completely fine which is kinda strange. So it seems its just unformatted but I can't explain myself how that could happen. The drive wasn't used in a NAS/RAID it was just a simple storage drive used for media storage. It wasn't put under much stress since the only time it was used was while moving/watching/dowloading media files. Obviously a typo it's a 4 TB one. So in the end I'll try to recover the stuff with the programm suggested by Figgle_Slaps thanks for the tip.
  7. I searched the forum to find a similar topic that was solved but didn't find anything so here I am. My situation is the following. I have a pretty new hard drive (less than 6 months) but it failed on me. It was formatted as an NTFS it's an WD Red 4tB. It started by failing a partition. I was dowloading something and it couldn't be accessed anymore through the programm. After a reboot the hard drive is still visible but is now unformatted and I didn't touch it since. Now what I hope is there is a way to recover the data. I tried out already http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-products.htm. It saw the drive "analyzed" it or whatever it did but couldn't access anything. Guys do I have hope left?
