AiOs are far easier to use, and have a low likelihood of mistakes. Would this be your first custom loop? It would be a fun experience, though expensive. @WarKittenS It's well under your $600 budget once you factor in rebates, and still under 600 before rebates. This should do a heck of a lot better at 1080p gaming than what you suggested (the r9 380 is pretty beast, esp. once overclocked), and it should feel very snappy due to the 120GB ssd.
