  1. Best I can remember: i7-4770K High end Asus Z mobo (not sure if 8 or 9 series) Asus DCUII GTX 970 No ssd. (Seriously) NZXT Phantom case (can't remember which one) That's the best I can remember. I tried to tell him he got ripped off a bit (though that $2700 did include two monitors and generic peripherals) But he was too busy gawking at how many fps he was getting in each game. I KID YOU NOT ALL HE CARED ABOUT WAS FPS.
  2. The Logitech G502 is worth a look at, but probably cost around the same as the DeathAdder.
  3. It all depends on what you do on your PC. Do you play games semi regularly? You might want to consider a cheap but decent $50ish mouse. If you spend a lot of time typing a mechanical keyboard can be a great investment as the switches in them last ages and feel much better to type on.
  4. I've had a K70 RGB for half a year, no malfunctions, no sign of wear other than the caps starting to get slightly oily. The LEDs are fine even after the constant colour-changing hell I put them through. (I have reactive typing set, so whenever i press a key, a rainbow ripples out from it. It's really trippy when I'm typing, and my mum reckons it'll give me a seizure one day)
  5. I have the Logitech G502. I personally think it's really great. It has dpi up and down switches, the scroll wheel can unlock and spin freely (not too useful, but fun and sometimes handy to have). Three buttons next to your thumb and from what I can tell it's cheaper than the rat 7. Just like your G300 it has per game profiles and whatnot with Logitech's software. Linus did a review of it here: Note: While Linus doesn't like the scroll wheel and says it's slippery, I have to disagree. I've been using the mouse for not quite a year and have never had my finger slip on the scroll wheel.
  6. I definitely have some friends that fit the "Gamers that don't know BS" description. About a year ago, one of my friends convinced his parents to buy him an AUD$2700 rig. I was asking him about it over Skype and he couldn't tell me anything about it... Except that he was getting around 1,200fps in Minecraft. I kept getting him that it didn't matter unless his monitors had a high refresh rate. He had no idea what that meant, so I got him to read it the model number on his monitors (he had two), and I found out he was using acer 60Hz monitors... *facepalm*
  7. Hi all, I've been fishing around for a laptop to use for high school and university (or college for you Americans). And I keep coming back to the Aorus X3 Plus v3. The reason I want to go with this and not, say, a Dell XPS 13 is because I do a fair bit of multimedia production (Adobe suite), and occasionally a bit of CAD design (AutoCAD). My only problem with the Aorus (and most gaming laptops out there for that matter) is the battery life. Which leads me into my question: Will I get a tangible increase in battery life by using the nvidia control panel to switch to using integrated graphics when I am just browsing the web, word processing etc.?
  8. Personally I think the new intro is great (However I think the transitions should be a tad faster.)
