  1. I got the x61. I love how it is a large radiator. It keeps my CPU temps near ambient (25 C) and near (30 C) under load. I have not overclocked, but so far it has done great in terms of cooling. I do not use the fan software as I control fan speeds with my motherboard, not the cooler. So the adapter (for all the fan headers) just sits loose in my case. I do like how you can change the color on the pump to whatever color goes with your build (the matching colors really completes my build). Pump is not loud for me.
  2. I got the 750d. It has tons of space.
  3. How much you want to spend? Custom water cooling is very expensive compared to closed loop setups (or fans) One thing to consider, is that peripherals (keyboard, mouse, headset, speakers, monitor) really add to the price.
  4. ask newegg customer support. sometimes it takes a couple days, sometimes it takes a couple weeks... just wait it out. i got the exact same graphics card from newegg on Nov. 11th for $350 (before tax). they will restock when they get a new shipment.
  5. I am thinking about the logitech g930. they seemed to get good reviews on other forums.
  6. I am looking to purchase a new wireless headset for gaming and I do not know what brands/models that I should consider as they all market themselves the "Best Wireless Headset". I want an all-in-one system (mic + headphone together) with virtual surround sound, good audio, and preferably a detachable microphone (so that I can utilize for music headphones only). With that said, I want bass for gaming, but I'd like to be able to modify the sound to become more balanced when I utilize the headset for music. My budget is between $80-$120, but can stretch the budget to $150 if it is something considerably better. I saw that the Kingston Hyper X Clouds get good reviews, however, they are wired and I'd like to avoid wires as much as possible. What do you recommend for a wireless headset and why?
  7. Razer Blackwidow Stealth has 5 macro keys on left with Razer brand "orange" switches. These switches are basically rebranded Cherry Browns. They are "silent mechanical switches with tactile bump." I just got the Chroma Stealth which offers full RGB LEDs. http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-stealth
  8. I am one who needs wide screen monitors for workstation applications. It saves me a lot of time having two full size pages on one screen.
  9. I just got the PB278Q, but that is a 1440p monitor which might be out of your scope. It's only 60HZ, but I plan on overclocking it a little bit if I need to. http://www.amazon.com/PB278Q-27-Inch-LED-lit-Professional-Graphics/dp/B009C3M7H0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415938135&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+pb278q
  10. I appreciate all the feedback you guys. You have been very helpful. Thank you.
  11. We certainly have polarizing ideologies. I just cannot identify at all with that statement.
  12. Well, I sold my Rockford Fosgate P2s and 800W Alpine Amp. I never thought I would need em and didn't have space at the time. I just want something simple with good sound quality. "Good" is certainly relatively, but like I said, I am no sound engineer. I want bass, but no need to bump the foundation of my house around.
  13. I will consider all affordable options. With the bookshelf speakers, aren't there extra costs with getting a receiver and PC adapter? I feel that would put me over budget.
  14. Reaching around the back is not a priority to me. What about 3 pronged plug? I'd hope that is now a standard given the power consumption.
  15. It will be for a desk/small office space. I am looking to spend between $60 and about $120. Nothing to blow the roof off, but just "good" quality. I am no sound engineer, so I am not very picky when it comes to that - as long as they turn on, work properly, and do their job. I'd like to be able to adjust bass so that I can use them when I want - low at night, bumping when I am jamming out.
