  1. If i was to buy 4x8gb sticks what one would you recommend?
  2. I found this showcasing some seems like the difference can be negligible to around 5-10 fps over the 2x16gb kit. That's on average some games have quite a bit of a difference.
  3. Do you happen to know of any videos showcasing the improvement of using dual rank setup vs not?
  4. Yeah im canadian so my prices are about 30% more roughly over US
  5. When I had my previous motherboard msi had some onboard feature called memorytryit and i got it to go to like 3800mhz lol stable but asus doesnt have the same feature. Memory overclocking seems a bit annoying to me is the main reason I haven't tried it. I also don't really know how to manually do it.
  6. Hmm okay well im probably going to just stick with buying a 2 stick 8gb each kit for the moment. Just as it is a bit simpler and will still be a decent upgrade i feel for my money.
  7. I was thinking of getting either https://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-Ballistix-Desktop-Gaming-BL2K8G36C16U4B/dp/B083V93HJG/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=3600mhz+ram&qid=1626113638&sr=8-7 or https://www.amazon.ca/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18-PC4-28800-Desktop-Vengeance/dp/B07FBVYFKH/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=3600mhz+ram&qid=1626113638&sr=8-5. I think the crucial ballistix may be better though.
  8. I was kind of wondering why it says my frequencies get slower as the list goes down but im sure there is a reason for that.
  9. I thought that if you had two 8gb sticks of ram and had them slotted right they would run in dual channel this is what my ram speeds are at the moment and what channel hwinfo says they are in.
  10. Hello, I was trying to figure out what speed of ram I should upgrade to, its come to my attention that I may be holding myself back in terms of some fps with how slow my memory is for how good the rest of my computer is. I was thinking of buying either some corsair 3200mhz or 3600mhz ram but wasn't for sure what was better as I'm not very experienced in ram speed or timings and knowing whats good. I also considered getting some steel viper 4000mhz ram I watched some videos comparing ram speeds with my CPU and it seems like it can be pretty significant fps gains for much faster ram in some more demanding titles not all. I seen as high as 40fps in some games, but either way if anyone has any recommendations for what set I should get I would appreciate the advice. Thanks Specs: RTX 3080 I7-10700K 750W PSU Ram 16GB 2400mhz with XMP Asus TUF z390 Chipset Hel
  11. Well I sent them a message saying what you uncovered hopefully they dont try to dispel it as nothing wrong or whatever thanks for the assistance really appreciate it.
  12. Okay when i first start the program up btw the packet loss always happens first on 209.85.247.188 ip . At least when connecting to www.google.com
  13. Is it likely they will have to contact rogers to fix their equipment or is it my isps equipment that is messing up? I have mentioned to them many times about this packet loss but i guess if i give them a specific address maybe they can fix something I just have been told many times that I am the only complaining customer they have in their network so they never want to try and help me. Should i just message them exactly what you said basically?
  14. No I am going through Schneider's Computing in my town they are a local company, the provider changes a lot I have been connected with Bell before as well and something else called Nexeon Technologies or something.
  15. Hmm was wondering if its possible there is a barn nearby us that has a wireless receiver from another internet company hooked up on it I don't know if its currently activated with service but could that cause interference?
  16. Okay well this after like 2 or 3 minutes of running pingplotter while talking to friend in discord and playing wow at the same time.
  17. Okay How long should I run it for I am playing world of warcraft at the moment and also my spotty connection seems to come and go quite a little bit randomly is really really good and then just terrible here and there.
  18. Generally this is what it looks like after its been running for a bit so does this stand to reason it is still my router even though its not losing packets directly connected.
  19. Also just recently replaced my pcs entire motherboard and stuff as well so network adapter in theory should be good.
  20. Granted that screenshot is with me using wifi was testing it again to try it out. Going to send another with direct connection. Second screenshot with my using ethernet cable.
  21. Sorry just posted the pl% i can post the whole thing was slightly unsure if it showed my ip although doesn't matter anyways my ip address changes every day or two with this isp. Odd thing is the packet loss comes and goes like sometimes i can run it for 10 seconds and have like 85% packet loss and then other times i run it for like 10 minutes and get none. This screenshot was just taken after a few minutes its showing packet loss on my router its a brand new router as well and this is the first time after 2 months of using ping plotter i've ever seen packet loss on router.
  22. I can do that only thing is my ping plotter shows a hell of a lot of ip's on my network and a lot of them have packet loss some or a lot here is a screenshot of it.
  23. How can I convince my isp that there is packet loss on my network? While trying to play games i randomly lag out for like 4-10 seconds and then it all the sudden catches backup and ive ran programs like ping plotter just trying to connect to www.google.com and then it has massive packet loss during that. But my isp always just says its the other companies fault so apparently google is the one with the packet loss. Its been frustrating because they kept telling me to wait for the fibre lines to be routed and now they finally are and my problem still exists. They also just continually say that no one else on the network has complained, like thats a reason not to do anything about my issue. I have got a new router tried multiple ethernet cords and WIFI and the issue always persists. It works fine for Netflix and YouTube but anything that is live like twitch or streams dont work well. I have a wireless connection live slightly outside of town and I was wondering if the issue could be a faulty dish but they always tell me based on their readings my dish is fine I am getting really aggravated as I don't know how to convince them to fix the issue or at least try. We are paying like 160$ a month for this internet since we are in Canada and I cant even use it as I would like to.
  24. I ended up recently acquiring a 10700k upgrading from my 8600k and I am noticing on some games the FPS seems to be worse take RDR2 for example benchmarks online say at 1440p with a 3080 and 10700k I should get between 70-110 from what I've seen what I average get is like 45-80 fps. A lot of games do appear to run better so why would my new CPU be slowing down my performance for RDR2? The only thing I can think of is that the 10700k wants faster ram as I have quite slow RAM, mine is G-Skill Ripjaws 2400mhz. I was considering upgrading to some 3600mhz or 4000mhz ram but wasn't sure if the fps gains were going to be worth it or not or if something else could be the issue. If anyone has any advice on this topic it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
  25. Yeah i think im going to have to head out tomorrow and get one and see if it fixes my problem.
