  1. In the production market today there has been a massive increase in the cost of recycled and kraft papers (single wall packaging) & corrugated products (Boxes) due to a Far East paper shortage. Does not make the news, but making a much larger impact.
  2. Well its not really "pretty bad" is it... Scores inside top 10 best world record on cinebench with no optimisation brand new computer architecture fresh out of the box... I would say that's pretty good...
  3. This is funny, how is that a made out to be a "hack" & "gaping security vulnerability" you shine a laser pointer in my eyes I will not be able to see where I am going... News flash: Google, Uber and even Apple’s potential self-driving car can all be foiled by little more than a home-brew brick thrown at Lidar sensor systems... How is that any different?
  4. The outlets are standard British 3 pin socket, they are on the floor out of the way and have a sticker "not for public use, only for the cleaners."
  5. Terrorism is bullshit, It'is always in the news, Our government makes massive policy & privacy changes, its all fearmongering... Back in the real world over the last 10 years more people in the uk have died from Bee stings or Toaster related accidents, than terrorist attacks... We should kill all the bee's and ban toasters as they are more dangerous...
  6. Sadly the current projection is 30 - 40 years to clean up the reactors to start decommissioning, (will require new technology to be invented) but for full decommission (full clean up, no rectors / building or stored waste on the site save ground radiation) you looking at 200 + years... Compare that to Chernobyl, the site will not be able to be fully decommissioned for another 20,000 years...
  7. Lol they are doing it wrong, Most manufactures (when you buy FOB) allow you to rework returns under licence and then you get new packaging etc... Customer never knows...
  8. I am really sorry mate, so the wrong forum to try and say AMD is good/ half good at anything, I know and you know that AMD is not all that bad but sadly this forum is no longer full of open and well minded people...
  9. Well if you counting a day as 24 hours then yea 50 not an issue
  10. Many moons ago when I owned my own PC shop, I expected a "system builder" to make 20 - 25 "internet ready*" systems in a 8 hour shift... The record if I remember was 34 in 8 hours... * Processor (Some Athlon) Memory (256mb) PC Chips all in one (hahahaha) Hard Drive (cloned) PSU Case (remember the ones that looked like Nokia phones) RRP £99.99 back in 2001 I think...
  11. But I had a water cooled block, for it back then ; -) Its on air now with standard reference leaf blower, but I mod'ed the block on my CNC myself, think AMD should contact me next time as I have done a much better job of the thermal contact areas LOL...
  12. Missed that, at least the warranty is a thing.... Last time round the Asus had a better firmware on my R9 290X? but was not £50 more?
  13. UK Prices XFX £509.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-231-XF&groupid=701&catid=56 HIS £509.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-106-HS&groupid=701&catid=56 Sapphire £509.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-369-SP&groupid=701&catid=56 MSI £599.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-295-MS&groupid=701&catid=56 Gigabyte £599.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-168-GI&groupid=701&catid=56 PowerColor £649.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-182-PC&groupid=701&catid=56 Asus £649.99 https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-375-AS&groupid=701&catid=56 Fuck knows what's going on with the price differences? Gold Stickers?
  14. Though this is very cool, they are basically MIG welding with a robot, so that technically is not new, I even do that... The reason none has done this before, the quality issues they have is because the shielding (barrier) gas is not helping, Carbon dioxide (heavier than air) normally will pool over the work surface stopping any oxidation of the weld, so when you weld on a flat surface it works well upside down or in mid air not so good, what they did not show you is you can snap those structures with your bare hands...
  15. Looks good... Very interesting... Only just sold my Ares III... Some advice... The Ares III makes quite allot of heat I used a single Watercool MO-RA3 LT 360 with 9 NF-12 and that kept it cool, your rads may only be enough to keep it under control, I was going to us the Ares III again it in my new rig, but it got hot with 2 X 240mm rads 1 X 120mm rad... Also that power supply might not be up-to the job, as the Ares draws over 50A! as that power supply only has a 40A & 80A rail your going to be pulling on it hard...
  16. Decided that I would build myself a little portable PC so bought a Lian Li PC-TU100B, using parts I had lying around built it up, first issue was the cooling solution used a Noctua NH-L9a and it was not doing the job sadly so I thought could I make a All-in-One Liquid Cooler It Fit? Well the answer is yes! This is the result of my first test fit... Used Motherboard stand-offs in the rad and used a 5.5mm drill to expand the NF-12 standard fitting holes, so the stand-offs act as pegs to keep the rad in place... Hot glue & tape is temporary during proof of concept... Current Spec Lian Li PC-TU100B ASRock FM2A88X-ITX+ Motherboard AMD A10 AD785KXBJABOX 7850K 16Gb 1866 Vengeance Ram Cooler Master Seidon 120V ver2 NF-12 Random blue ray drive 120GB Evo SSD 60Gb QCZ SSD Plan Change the PSU from a no name brand I found in a draw Custom length & braid all cables to run around the outside Design a better mounting system for the cooler (3D printer to the rescue) New Parts Needed Silverstone SST-ST45SF-G - Strider SFX Gold 450w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
  17. Right click the windows logo, bottom left, and use disk management, right lick the drive and delete volume, you can then format it etc...
  18. Well if you have tried it with so many motherboards, the issue must be... PSU / cable is broken on the CPU 8 pin CPU is DOA Where did you get the CPU from?
  19. The X99 RAMPAGE V EXTREME motherboard supported the 5960X from First release BIOS 0503 So its not the BIOS! Are you sure you have a socket 2011-v3 X99 board?
  20. I bought 20 of these Transcend 64GB JetFlash 700 Super Speed USB 3.0, been perfect! I did have 20 SanDisk 32GB Extreme USB 3.0 Flash Drive I percussed them back in march 2013 and I am not kidding had 5 fail towards the end of last year, so threw the rest away and moved on...(warranty not for commercial use, thanks scamdisk) 2 stopped working because of the solder joints on the USB connection to the board cracked so manufacturing design issue...
  21. Wow looks like you have been having a right nightmare, good luck and hope it all works out in the end...
