  1. Hey, so I've got a budget of around $1000 and I'm just looking for a laptop mainly for photo editing and doing college work, so far the MacBook Pro 13" 2015 or 2017 seem to be the most ideal given the Retina display, but really anything with a great real color display at a high resolution I think would do. Any suggestions? And also is buying a MacBook used a good idea? Anything to be wary of? Thanks!
  2. Thats what I was worried about from the start.
  3. So I bought a DisplayPort to VGA adapter a while ago (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=1DH-003U-00004) I think it's that one, and I'm only now using it with my ASUS 1070 and my second monitor (which is just an older TV) and while my computer recognizes that it's there, the monitor only says "Not Supported" The monitor works just fine with HDMI, but I'm using it for my PS4 which is why I need the adapter, and it previously worked just fine with a VGA connection on my old GT 420. Any ideas?
  4. So i just tried overclocking my MSI 990FXA Gaming motherboard with an 8350 and now I'm not getting anything. I've tried everything besides shorting it because I can't find the place where I need to that. Thoughts? This motherboard btw: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-130-859
  5. I got a GT 420 and it's time for an upgrade, so yeah,
  6. So as many of us know, the RX 480 will be coming out in 2 days, and thankfully I finally have the needed budget to buy a new GPU (Still running on my #420BlazeIt). So I'm just wondering which brand of the 480 to get, seeing as how AMD cards don't usually have THAT big of a difference between the third-parties. Currently I'm just going to go with the MSI one because I've used their cards in the past and they've never done me wrong, but my friends just tell me the only difference is going to be policies on things like returns and repairs from the company. Any advice?
  7. Again, if you do not overclock then the stock cooler should be okay for you.
  8. Honestly, I can't say because I don't know. But remember that you can always upgrade cooling later.
  9. If you're not overclocking then the stock cooler and motherboard is perfect.
  10. No, the 8350 is a pretty great CPU, as long as you don't intend to overclock much, the motherboard should be fine for you.
  11. DROPPING TRUTH BOMBS LIKE IT'S WORLD WAR II ERA JAPAN
  12. Well I can't really help then I guess, but if that 400 NOK is out of your budget then it sounds like a great setup.
  13. I can't say that it will or won't throttle because I don't own one of the 9000s but hey. Also, good job just being like, really optimistic and seeming to be happy in all your posts, never seen such a jolly fellow.
  14. THIS MAN SEES THE TRUTH. AMD WILL RISE AGAIN! Oh, sorry I didn't mean to lay down a truth bomb like that. But yes indeed, the 8350 and the other AMD CPUs around it are VERY competent chips for anything.
  15. That sounds like a good setup, but personally I'd go for a better motherboard and cheap out on ram for the time being as ram can be added at any time.
