  1. still doesnt justify that im getting "snowing pixels" effect now -.-
  2. They suggested me to RMA so I did and got new one, now with no more flickers but now with the "snowing effect" of white and black pixels. fml
  3. Btw ive also tried flashing the bios, still no improvements.
  4. i believe this is a problem with crossfiring, i haven't done crossfiring any cards.
  5. that could be a possibility but why does it happen on the desktop as well?
  6. I am sorry but I don't seem to find this option. Also I am already using an HDMI cable and still see the flickers. Btw as an added symptom, I can seem to play Battlefield 4 with Mantle, it gives me terrible stuttering but when I use DX11 everything's fine.
  7. Can you please elaborate this? I don't understand what you meant by "Frequency of the cable being too high" please and thank you
  8. Same issue, no flickers at all when I'm playing games, they only happen when I'm browsing or doing nothing on the desktop. Wonder if there are more insights from other people on this so we could gather up more info.
  9. So it's possible that we're unlucky and got unstable factory overclocks? If that's the case then well that sucks
  10. I haven't tried overclocking it ever aside from its factory overclock.
  11. I recently got an XFX R9 280x Black DD and I've noticed this since day 1 while using a VGA adapter, I don't know the exact term for calling it but I believe it's flickering(correct me if I'm wrong, I too would want to find out). It happens when I'm viewing videos using VLC/MPC since I only use those 2 mainly for watching videos, also it happens albeit not often but randomly when I'm browsing the internet. After that I thought, maybe it's because I'm using an outdated VGA adapter so I bought an HDMI cable. Though the flickers have minimized, they're still there but subtle and not that often in contrast to when I was using a VGA cable. What could be the problem here? Defective GPU? Defective monitor?(When I was using the integrated graphics, I had no issues with flickering) The strange thing is, whenever I'm playing heavily in Ultra settings in BF4, DOTA2 or any other game, I don't experience these flickers, they seem to happen only when I'm on the desktop browsing or doing nothing. I also have tried uninstalling/installing drivers, flickers still there. Also, I've tried re-seating the GPU, flickers still there. Here I was able to shoot a video showing you the "flickering" I was talking about As I was watching FMA:Brotherhood, at around 0:18 and another at 0:25 seconds you will see what I'm talking about. http://youtu.be/Pp0JTo2khfc Stuff I use: XFX R9 280x Black DD Toshiba 24" 24PS10E TV Complete specs: i3 4150 XFX R9 280x Black DD Corsair VS650 1TB Seagate ASUS H81M - D 4GB Kingston Hyper X Fury
  12. http://extreme.outervision.com/ i used this one and it says my system will draw 459w so I guess that's well under my 530w PSU. But it says I have to consider the rails, but I can't use the Pro version since I have to pay for it.
  13. appreciate the answer but i need more replies just to make sure with a bit of statements to back it up
  14. I sure do hope I'm posting this on the right section of the forums. I have a 530w Thermaltake SMART SE and I'm planning to purchase a Sapphire Radeon R9 280x DUAL-X as my GPU. Complete specs of the PSU : http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model_Specification... My full CPU component list is as follows: -Intel i3 4150 -ASUS H81-M DS2 -4GB Kingston Hyper X Fury (will buy another stick for to make it 8GB soon) -1TB Seagate HDD -2 Bitfenix Prodigy M Fans -24" Toshiba Monitor All components are on stock speeds and I don't plan on overclocking anything anytime soon. I also don't plan to overclock my GPU when I get it. Thank you for your answers
