Look if the write buffer is enable for it in disk management.
post here a screenshot from crystaldiskinfo of it, as well as „as ssd benchmark” screenshot ( whole )

i would also try to run it in Gen 4.0 x 4 M.2 slot.

and the sample size for benchmark, use 4GiB or larger.

NP 🙂 I'd check Cinebench R23 on a low setup and see what cinebench you get just in case (and for academic purposes). Mine float in the low 36k with my NH-D15 or EKWB 280mm AIO with those settings.

Also make sure you're using the 'balanced' Power Plan, if you're used to adjusting that to 'high performance'. The 'high performance' one will cause lower cinebench r23 scores in at least two cases, being my friend's 7800x3D I helped troubleshoot low r23 scores and when I simulated one with my 7950x3D.

Teletha reacted to Glenwing in Is it RTX 3080 limitation or Samsung Odyssey monitor issue. Hmm...
If it's a limitation internal to the GPU then most likely there is some pixel rate limit, not a flat bit rate limit.

Teletha reacted to Glenwing in Why am i loosing my 4th monitor to DSC?
It's a pixel rate limitation (i.e. before the compression is applied), the final transmission bit rate is not the issue.

oh it seems it uses 2 ports to aggregate the bandwidth when DSC is turned on. Kinda weird if it already compresses it down to 21Gbps

When a display is connected to the GPU and is set to DSC mode, the GPU may use two internal heads to drive the display when the pixel rate needed to drive the display mode exceeds the GPU’s single head limit. This may affect your display topology when using multiple monitors.  For example if two displays with support for DSC are connected to a single GeForce GPU, all 4 internal heads will be utilized and you will not be able to use a third monitor with the GPU at the same time.

I had issues with a PCIe card AQC107 on Windows 11, it got so bad it crashed the entire network stack needing a reboot to fix, even the on-board gigabit would stop working at that point.

I don't really understand it, that same card is now in my Linux server and working perfectly.

    maybe i fixed it.
i uninstalled it and then instead of using the .exe to install i just browsed via device manager the drivers from the asus folder instead and installed them that way. Seems to be stable now. 138GB received and no crash!

also saw the problem in the nvidia panel u have to be on the PC res category apparently and not the ones in the top that has Ultra HD, HD, SD in the category name.

Teletha reacted to Glenwing in What color bit depth does games use?
RGB is the same as 4:4:4 from a technical perspective, generally RGB is a better choice for computers since it's the native color format of GPU-generated images. If you use YCbCr it's assumed that it's a TV and sometimes that can lead to other settings being "optimized" for TVs automatically, like full-range color being locked off.

    Procedure:
Open the file in a hex editor Scan for the first 2 bytes of a jpg header (FF D8).  There might be a few so find the last one that's still near the top of the file delete everything from the start of the file up to but not including these bytes.  save and rename to end in .jpg
