  1. It seems the mobo had UEFI mode and it is showing up once i changed it. but my windows install on it is not showing so might need to change from MBR to GPT
  2. Hi I have a test bench which i was thinking of using for updating firmware of the hdd but it is not showing up on this motherboard. Is the mobo to old? it doesnt have UEFI only legacy bios but it has sata III: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/Z97-PC-Mate/Specification The port and cables are working fine, tested with a 12tb drive. I have 4 of these x24 drives and tested 2 so far.
  3. i have a bat file that kills explorer and opens it again. tried it 2 times already sadly.
  4. my panel at the bottom didnt want to open when i pressed it so i restarted the explorer and now it looks like this All options there are greyed out and i cant click on anything there. It will start working if i reboot, but is there a way to get this one back without reboot?
  5. Not sure why its saying pcie 1 when i get above pcie 1x4 speeds on read? o.O
  6. haven't been doing much on it cant see how the cache would be full. and i mean it should be able to flush the cache in a couple of mins max since it has the crazy speed. i ran 16 mb test file and it still gives same write speeds
  7. hm ye might be a RMA, god dammit its my C drive too have to find another 2tb drive in the meantime ugh...
  8. yes config in sign. bios on mb is latest, ssd firmware updated newly 1 week ago or so im getting the full speed on Read so there should still be the same bandwidth for the write testing.
  9. i have the corsair MP700 2TB version and i dont seem to have quite good Write speeds? am i doing something wrong? The drive has to have Gen 5 pcie speed since the read is OK. Temps never went above 55C during testing too. it is on the latest firmware too.
  10. i disabled the HW accel in firefox and now its working normally. seems the cpu is picking up the slack now
  11. i see. well i do need it since im all full on outputs on my 4090 sadly so im using 1 monitor on it. but i guess i have to change it back to the main gpu for firefox.
  12. Hi Im using firefox that is set to use the iGpu and when i try to play a 4K video on youtube the gpus Video Codec 0 spikes upp to 100% and the video is super laggy. Is the iGpu not able to do 4k?
  13. Seems fine, If I ever need to remove the adapter I most likely will remove the block anyway
  14. it should if its the strix and tuf cards EK® Quantum Vector2 RTX 4090 FE (without active backplate) (backplate side) EK® Quantum Vector2 Strix/TUF RTX 4090 (cooler side) https://eustore.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-12vhpwr-90-degree-angled-adapter-variant-a/
  15. Hey i have been having irritating black screens where i have no idea what the cause is, I've been through countless of testing to never really finding an solution to the issue. Some things I've been testing: 3x repaste of gpu (also gets me 3 gpu reseats in pcie slot) new windows install latest bios and full bios stock settings disable/enable iGPU No OC or TDP+ in gpu tweak new PSU 1500w My current verdict as of now from what I've also read on reddit for the 4090 with the cable mod cable is that it might be the power cable. I do have the O11 XL dynamic case and sadly the cable is being pressed against the window a little bit and creating a sharper than recommended bend of 35mm from the connector. it currently bending around 20-25mm instead and the metal shroud on the connector have been leaving a bit of a mark on the cable since the bend is being bent into the shroud. I thought it was all fine since i have checked multiple times if there was any sign of melting so it was all good on that front but there might be a internal damage of the sense cables inside it somewhere. But im still unsure since i've been trying to wiggle the cable like crazy when it was drawing 540W to see if i could get it to crash but no luck... I'm a bit lazy so i haven't tested the original adapter that came in the gpu box yet but i will before i get a new cable at least. As of now bent the cable out more so that the bend starts more around 40mm, i'll see if that helps otherwise i will have to test the nvidia adapter later on. But to the main point of this post is how i can make the bottom tube go the best way to make room for the cable if i were to use the 90 degree cablemod adapter. since it will hit the bottom tube as it is now. I was thinking of just adding a 90 degree fittings and some normal fitting to make it fall further down this is kinda how it looks in mine but i have normal hardline tubes I was thinking of something like this, i could save some money and maybe do 2 bends and skip the 2 fitting at the bottom. or maybe this then i dont even need to buy anything other than just the tubes
  16. sure but if you do it right the first time then there wont be issues. but ofc normies should just get the 7800x3d and skip these issues or go intel.
  17. Not sure what you mean. The settings I have applied will be for the life of the cpu until I replace it
  18. awesome it works now, i even did the +200MHz / -15mV seems stable too. My fps is back and gpu is back up to 98% usage thanks man
  19. hm where is the CPPC to 'prefer cache', option? do you have a asus board?
