Do people actualy keep their PC clean?
CielErrant replied to DannotfromMars's topic in General Discussion
I keep it on my desk, and that alone kinda prevents dust in a way. Filters do the rest, I only feel the need to clean it head to toe once a year. But I'm not shooting videos about its insides nor do I put it on catwalks. -
Quite, yes. An rpg lootfest with lots to do and the dorkiest protagonist ever. Not a great game by any standard, but it can provide a fun experience if approached in the right way.

Witcher 3 Mod tries to make like look as shown on E3 2013
CielErrant replied to blu4's topic in PC Gaming
I wouldn't call it a downgrade, the game was still deep in development, they scrapped a few features, added other ones, looking for the better compromise they could reach, that's what a dev normally does and there's no avoiding it. I think the final version of the game looks significantly nicer, to me it's more vivid, real and easy on the eyes. I would like modders to focus on other aspects of the game, like adding actual gameplay mechanics and expanding the ones already there, adding weapons, hairstyles and the like. -
What consoles do you own and do you still use them?
CielErrant replied to asim1999's topic in Console Gaming
My PS2, N64, GBC, GBA and stuff are in a closet. I left my PS3 at my parents' house so I can play Dragon's Dogma during holidays. The only two consoles I still use daily are my 3DS and Wii U. In fact, I'm planning to buy a New 3DS as well. Gotta love them Nintendos. -

Try going back to stock.

Get a new keyboard, a new 3DS, every amiibo on Earth, build a new system with a full custom loop in a H440, buy a 500mb ssd, visit Sicily, write a lot, enter the AIST (Italian Society on Tolkienian Studies), learn C++. Edit: also 1440p Maybe I'll just start using comic sans to celebrate

Anyone I know would have kept them without a word, that's some honesty you've got there. I don't see how keeping the items could be legal anywhere. What the fluff, it's obvious it was a mistake and it's obvious those goods where meant for someone else and were owned by someone else. If I tried to tell a judge "well I got them in the mail so they're mine now" he'd be like "don't bs me, it was a mistake and there's no way you didn't realise it", and that means bad faith, and that means theft, and that means jail.

Woke up one day and slowly realised I was in a hotel in Paris with my girlfriend, it felt like waking up in another life, utterly strange. I wish you all a great 2015!

Browns could be a nice compromise and from there you will know for certain if you'd like to have more actuation force and more feedback, or less of both, but it's hard to give advice on the subject: it really depends on personal preference, and personal preference can only be built through personal experience. Just don't give too much credit to the "blue for typing, red for gaming" talk someone still likes to inflate. It's of course true that writers tend to prefer Blues (or buckling spring) and I'm among them, but I would never use Reds in game as well, though a lot of people do prefer them. If I didn't have the faintest idea, I'd go with browns, it's hard to be really disappointed since they can't have the cons of an excessive tactile feedback or the absolute lack of it.

Even if it was announced yet, it really depends on the retailers and the price they think they can pull in each region. I've seen R9 290s jump as high as 380€ (450USD more or less), well a hundred euros above a nice gtx970 by Gigabyte or Asus. That's just to say that even if we did know, and that's quite unlikely, it wouldn't necessarily be a reliable knowledge. Trying to predict doesn't make much sense either: we don't know enough. And non-reference designs also add an awful lot of uncertainty in the whole matter. So no way to know or to make assumptions yet.

They are not even comparable and anyone who knows anything about computers can see that.

I'm not sure about prices over there, but I would check AsRock Extreme boards out. They never failed me and I'm sticking to AsRock for my next build despite having an enormous budget. I don't see any reason to buy a 290x over a 290, at least here in Italy there's a huge price gap between the two, while they perform almost the same. If the gap in North America is anywhere near as huge I wouldn't pay the extra even if I had a lot more money to throw at it.

Don't forget this is like a pre-alpha or something, the final game will be richer and more complex, more refined overall. Besides, people call the ps3 and the x360 "HD gen" but they were more like "upscaled gen".
