  1. from : https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/618463738404764087/ "Go to nVidia Control Panel and change the Digital Color Format from RGB to YCbCr444.Note that fixes color issues mostly with HDMI setups only. It might be also the monitor itself. I also get a reddish tint on my DELL screen after playing Fallout 3 and could not find a fix even until now. (fixes itself on restart) Well, that game has a lot of issues anyways." and from : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-3629391/blue-tint-windows-launch-playing-fullscreen-games.html "Does it happens when you load Windows in 'Safe Mode', if it does that might indicate a failing video card.Go to the NVIDIA Control Panel and under 'Display' click 'Change resolution'. Hit the 'Customize' button then hit 'Create custom resolution' button.Change Standard: from 'Automatic' to 'Manual'.Change 'Refresh rate:' to 59.999 and click the 'Test' button. If everything works fine then click 'Yes' otherwise 'No'"
  2. might be so silly that it gets overlooked. (for the red tinted video) do you have one of these installed / enabled ? f.lux ? windows Night light ? or do you have a warm color tone profile selected on your monitor?
  3. hmm other ppl/ sources said to not do that. was considering unraid and a windows server vm already
  4. how else would you suggest to do it ? add an expensive raid card ? i was planning on having multiple backups. (ext hdd's and other systems.)
  5. i was planning to use the raid 5 from the intel z270 chipset
  6. if you want to do it cheap why don't rent a vps ? and if you don't need very high performance why not a old laptop or desktop you might have laying around.
  7. Hello, I'm looking into building my own home server (my synology nas is acting up and i want to replace it) My original idea was to use a raid 5 config (3*4tb) (I already have 2 relatively new drives in the nas i want to reuse and plan on buying the same model as a 3rd). (wd reds) Now that i started researching on raid 5 i mainly read bad stuff about it. And very few ppl saying that its ok for home use. This raid would contain video files (I don't really care about loosing) and family pictures and documents.(which i care about).(which i was planning to back up to an extra ext hdd as well for safety.) anybody here has any exp with running raid 5 and or had problems with it. this is my first "server"(windows sever) build and would appreciate any help, tips and info.
  8. I have the same 'fone' and don't have any problems like that.
  9. Rig name : TF2 machineCpu: 4690K @ 4.20Gpu: gtx 970 (gigabyte G1 - stockRam: 8GBScore :7.3
  10. i'll take a look and see if i can get it within budget here in europe
  11. Screen size does not really matter. 15 inch is preferred. 17 is also ok.
  12. just to make it clear the will never be any gaming don on this machine. it more like givingtnt said it would be more of a chromebook usage.
  13. hey guy's/girls. One of my friends is looking for a low end laptop. It would be used primarily for media consumption and internet browsing and use as an htpc (so 1080p movie playback). asked "specs" - proper quality screen (I would think 1080p) - fast boot times. - maybe touchscreen. Since I have no real experience with low end hardware I was hoping you guy's/girls could maybe help me with specs/ models. I was thinking: - a ssd based system and an external hdd connected to the router as a nas (router : sitecom x7) - 3-6 GB ram - 4 core cpu ~ 2.4 Ghz extra info: region: west_Europe (so payed in euro) budget: up to 700 euro. (which i think is way to much for just an browsing/media consumption machine)
  14. if audio quality is not the focus. i would go with Bluetooth headphones or something. I've been using the ausdom m06 for a few months now and i like them. (noticeable difference between Bluetooth connection and cable(details get lost))
