  1. how come? i7 is a sweet spot for me, i got it when it first released for my new build which didnt finish building due to ddr5 shortage and price hike until 6 month later.
  2. Ordered my 6700xt (12gb) eariler, im seeing 3070(8gb) for 370$ and another one 400$. From the comparison reviews im reading it seems they are similar. The performance only starts to differ in 3070 favor is when rtx is turned on and gaming at 4k. Do you guys think its worth the 60-100$ more? I know i wont be gaming at 4k since these two gpu at 4k mostly performs under 60fps. So it boils down to do i need rt for 60-100$ more? lol idk i never had rtx with my 970 hahaha
  3. Thanks, i have decided to get 6700xt by asrock suggested by RONOTHAN##. My only dilemma right now is if i should wait 3 more days for 4th of july sale or snag it right now with current 20$ off.
  4. Yea im leaning 6700xt more now due to 12gb and about same performance as 3060ti. This might end up my first amd card ever. Price wise im seeing same for both on newegg around 350
  5. Ah i see, that means 3060/3070 is also meets the bare minimum at 8gb. Im leaning more towards 6800xt now with 12gb
  6. by the graph its seems 3060ti and 6700xt is pretty much the same. Will 3060ti be enough to hit high/max settings at 1440p in the next 3 years?
  7. 12700k i feel can last me at least half a decade for all my want and future proof. 13600k is abit extreme and the requirement for cooling.
  8. Whats the recommended vram to get nowaday for modern games? Jesus 970 3.5gb were considered good, games now need recommendation of 12gb? Thanks for the suggestion but i try to stay away buying used electronics avoiding headache purposes.
  9. Im in the se boat shopping for GPU lol, i have never owned a AMD, does it have ray tracing option? whats the main difference between amd and nvidia?
  10. Never owned a AMD gpu before, AMD doesnt have ray tracing right? is rasterization similar to ray trace? I just checked userbenchmark it seems 3060ti is faster by a small margin
  11. 12700K, around 300 is where i feel comfortable buying a last gen gpu. I have looked at 3070 but its in the 430 range, i feel if im getting the 3070 i mind as well go for 4070 for 170 more.
  12. I built my first pc back in 2015 with GTX 970, mobo died back in 2021. Last year i built a new pc and its a small form using meshlicious case and 12700K cpu. Im still using my gtx 970 but its kinda bad right now when im trying to play RD2 or any new title at 1080p at high or max settings. I need to upgrade badly but with the rtx 40 series price tag i dont have the funds to drop that kind of money or support the price hike tactic. It also seems the new release of 4060ti is also not a good buy. This brings to me 3060/3060ti, i mostly game at 1080p max/high setting’s preferred. My monitor is 1440p, i dont mind gaming in 1440p but will 3060/3060ti be enough to push modern games at 1440p high settings? I also plan to do some VR gaming in the future, is 3060/3060ti enough?
  13. I have a mini itx mobo asus strix z690i that can hold 2 m.2 in a stack tower on the mobo. My current crucial p5 m.2 bare drive temp with thermal pad is idling pretty high at 55C. I was wondering would be quiet m.2 heatsink mc1 pro would fit my mobo?
  14. from what i have gathered it seems all pcie 4 m.2 tend to get hot? I was looking at the wd sn850 (100c) and samsung 980 (90c) both review stated they get extremely hot.
  15. Ripjaw S5 Series 32GB, it seems to be idling at 55C alittle higher than i like, with downloading its about 59-60 and cystaldiskmark stress about 68C
  16. My room temp is alittle warm at 78F, just normal operation such as web surfing and watching videos. My mobo strix z690i does come with thermal pad. Turning up my cpu fan to 35% at idle seems to lower my m.2 temp, right now idle at 56C. Did quick crystaldiskmark SEQ1M Q1T1 and RND4K Q1T1 temp were stable at 65C My mobo strix z690i mini itx can stack 2 m.2. I only have 1 installed as os drive and top surface of m.2 is on thermal pad but on portion thermal pad does not make contact(i think its normal due to chips are on top of m.2) and plastic removed. whats m.2 max temp? I turned up my cpu fan (front facing drawing in air) and right now temp is lower at 56C, i guess it needed air? Everything else like mobo, cpu, ram temp are all normal on quite fan setting.
  17. My mobo is strix z690i and i have os installed on m.2 along with all my programs. HWinfo is reading 67c, is this too high at casual use?
  18. Man that was informative for sure. So if i want to game 1440p max settings lets say at at least 120-144fps, in todays standard i need something like 4070ti with at least 12gb of vram? So if rumors are true ill be spending around 700(apparently 800 has been confirmed just now) for it, man when did gpu became so expensive and how long will this gpu last with advancement of graphics? I remember my first gpu gtx 970 was considered high end at $350. Oh will my 32gb of ddr5 ram be enough?
  19. Dont have the link right now but it was in the comment section of a written article regarding 4070ti leak. Almost all of them were saying the performance betweeen 30 and 40 is about the same but 40 priced higher. IDK Its all good, i recently built a new rig mini itx with 12700k and a pcie 4 rise cable in meshlicious. Im just wondering if its worth getting the previous gen since there price tag is around 600 unlike the new 40 series. 12GB vram is too little now? Man i was rocking my gtx 970 3.5gb vram for over 6 years lol
  20. Been out of the gpu loop for awhile now as my last build gpu was a gtx 970 lol. From my short search on google, it seems these two have similar performance but 40series is priced much higher?
  21. Does it matter my my pump is upside down? and hows my radiator tube orientation? Oh yea ignore the cable management lol
  22. i dont have fans on top just radiator fans on the front and the noise is coming from the top weird. The mini itx mobo on board fan i believe is ok the rear io which is the back of the case. I cant tell if its from AIO pump, is this sound normal at all?
