  1. Have you checked what post codes your motherboard is putting out when it turns on for a split second?
  2. Lol it's for a Laptop (probably around $2.5k), to upgrade my PC (very little needs upgrading) and possibly get a new phone since mine is dead
  3. So I'm probably going to take out a student loan for $4k to buy a Laptop and upgrade my PC. I currently only need an SSD and a new case, my current specs are i7-5820k at 3.30ghz GTX 1070 16gb DDR4 2444mhz 1.5tb HDD (going on to be 7 years old baybeeee) I don't really want a Micro-ATX case but I'm not opposed to the idea of a horizontal case like the Cryorig Taku (as shown on Linus's video) I currently the Cooler Master HAF X (it's really not worth the price). Does anybody have any suggestions? The Cryorig Taku is $300 and the issues seem to be pretty big but it would really help me save space on my desk! Any suggestions are appreciated!
  4. True, true. I'd personally get the Asus GM501 since the keyboard is a full sized unlike the previous version. Although the uplift mechanism seems to be a hit or a miss. I haven't heard anyone complain that it broke et
  5. but that makes no sense! WHY WOULD A LEFTISTS EVERY DO HARM TO OTHER LEFTISTS REEEE
  6. I'd avoid this one due to the hinge, it looks like it's super fragile. I'd get the Asus GM501
  7. Depending on when/what is available when I get my student loan I have a few laptops that I'm interested in. Asus ROG Zephyrus M GM501 is super appealing, I went to BestBuy to feel how much the laptops weighed etc and I want something that is less than 0.7" or 0.8" thick.
  8. Well I mean just overall with Aorus
  9. Does anybody have any experience with Aorus products? This laptop is super sexy and sleek, this might be my next choice but I'm wondering if anybody has experience and also how slim it is compared to other laptops?
  10. I have yeah, I thought about it, I might actually go with a $2k laptop and spend the rest on PC upgrades. Right now my specs are Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz (12 CPUs), ~3.3GHz RAM: 16gb DDR4 RAM Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Monitor: LG 34UM58-P Ultrawide I need an SSD still, I'm still in the past running an HDD lol
  11. I don't game much on the go but when I do it's usually pretty demanding games, which is why I'd love a GTX 1080, my current rig at home has a 1070 in it. And the longest I'd probably not around an outlet for max like an hour. If school starts in Sept when do you think I should start looking at getting a laptop? August?
  12. Honestly the place I'm planning on going to for college pretty much has students there all day from like 10AM-closing which is at 9PM. So I was thinking I might as well get something top of the line since I'll be there all day
  13. Well seeing as where I'm going has outlets in literally every room and near every chair I don't think it's an issue. If I'm doing homework at a starbucks or something I will already have a 100% charge by the time I start anyways. So I'd prefer something top of the line that I won't need to upgrade for at least 3/4 years
  14. So I'm thinking of the Aero 15x (if I can fucking get one lol), but now I'm scared I should wait until last minute to pull the trigger on buying a laptop
  15. Well I'm starting school in September, when should I buy the laptop and battery life isn't an issue.
  16. I'm starting school in the fall and am taking out student loans for school and one for a laptop as well. Since I am doing computer engineering and also modeling/rendering on the side so I am looking for a small portable laptop with a GTX 1080 in it. So far I've narrowed it down to these three Laptops. I would prefer a "notebook"~esque laptop for school but I wouldn't be opposed to carrying a 17inch laptop around. Alienware 17" with GTX 1080 - https://www.amazon.com/Alienware-AW17R4-7352SLV-PUS-Laptop-Generation-256SSD/dp/B01N0THPHM/ ASUS ROG Zephyrus 15.6" - https://www.amazon.com/Zephyrus-Full-HD-Ultra-portable-Gaming-Laptop/dp/B071XDXLPG/ Aorus X5 MD - https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Max-MD-KL4K3M-i7-7820HK-chassis/dp/B07522SMW4/ I'm looking for something that I could type on all day, which rules out the ASUS ROG Zephyrus (which is a shame because it's specs are amazing for the price and the chasis is nice). I know Alienware is overpriced but I want something that has good build quality aswell as good specs, and I'm not looking to take out a $4k loan for a Razerblade (as sexy as it is.). I would prefer a full keyboard with/without a numpad. I also thought about the [Predator Triton 700](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756TR51D/) but they keyboard issue is still a thing. I'm going to go to a few "electronics" stores like Fry's, BestBuy, and anywhere else that carries these brands of laptops to see how well they work and if typing on them would actually be an issue. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!
  17. Hey! Is it possible to change my name to Mew? There's too much personal information linking this username to other social media
I asked him via Discord and he said he's okay with having his name changed to something else! (he also said it was okay on @Windspeed36's wall)

  18. Every app will run better the faster a single core is (both clockspeed and ipc), but not every app will run faster the more cores there are.
  19. I'd say the only one is Apple with their Apple Watch because even Samsung uses an inaccurate color profile by default.
