In 2022, I was able to create a single node OKD with 7 VMs, but to get it to reliably bootstrap, I needed 128GB RAM on the host to divide among the VMs.
 
And to be honest, setting up the supporting stuff before okd was more involved than deploying okd.
 
Load balancer, DNS, DHCP, internal registry (if your internet isnt fast enough to prevent bootstrap from timing out)... etc
 
My setup was 5900x , 128GB RAM, 1x 1TB nvme, 4x 2TB nvme

So, it looks like Unraid is switching things up and moving towards an "annual support" model for updates. They just rolled out this new update system, and in their latest blog post, they mentioned:
Their code tells a different story, though:

I managed to get LDAP working following these instructions:

(and figuring out that the ASUSTOR NAS is looking for 'posixAccount' objectClass user accounts.)


Only issue now, is a limitation of the ASUSTOR ADM, where AD/LDAP users can't be made administrators, they can only get access to files and particular apps. Which is not very useful for my case.

So now I just need to find a way to get nginx to fill out and submit login credentials to the ASUSTOR ADM's https login page....

I think this is a project for another day... 

Hey guys, I haven't had internet at my house for a couple of days, shitty ISP on shitty country.
I have an unraid server running a plex server. Settings-wise, I don't remember touching anything network-related inside plex.
It's running in host mode in Unraid, and I'm using an Nginx proxy to access it through my domain for remote access.
I tried accessing it using my server's IP and Plex's port and my profile loads, but when I click it, it only loads for a bit and then says it can't reach plex.tv.
I have turned off all online garbage stuff plex offers.
 
Am I missing a step in the configuration? It has been working fine while I have internet.
 

You could save some energy on getting a gold rated ( or better ) PSU
 
Would cost more upfront but would eventually pay for itself.
