  1. I liked MS Edge when it first came out, I kinda hate it now though. I appreciate that it uses the chromium engine, but I hate all the crap MS has added to it. I just want a plain browser to start.
  2. it's the best iPhone I ever bought. Still works great 6.5 years later (yes, I bought it on launch day!) xD They increased the price to $1000 and my reaction literally was: "guess I can keep this phone for longer!" But I will say that's not the play, the play is to buy a REALLY NICE 2 year old phone for about half original price (maybe a smidge more) and keep it for 4 years. I think that's the best balance! (almost like a car?)
  3. pretty much. I love how they don't have my iPhone X in the list. Guess apple thinks I don't need to upgrade
  4. Thanks guys! We'll just get a couple tubes of MX-4
  5. Have a little project at work coming up where I'll have to socket 18 LGA 3647 CPU's (Xeon Gold 6150's). I'm realizing we'll need quite a lot of thermal paste for that. So I'm wondering what is the best thing to get that you can buy in bulk that's relatively inexpensive? We don't need anything crazy, it just needs to work. Those CPU's aren't that hot haha I was thinking too maybe if we could get sheets of the thermal pad material that would be a lot easier and cleaner, I'm just not sure what to get or where to get it!
  6. they shouldn't be able to advertise this as a "day pass" with a 6 hour time limit, lol. how about a 24 hour time limit? Hmm.... Why even limit it down? most people won't use the full 24 hours anyway so you might as well give it to them
  7. I’ll just order a G203 and call it a day. Don’t feel like changing batteries and I’m not /that much/ of a gamer. And considering you Can pick one up for like $20 I feel like it’s hard to go wrong. It’s very cheap to replace! i rather spend money on my homelab xD i thought about the G305, but batteries. I know they last a while but nothing worse than having a dead battery and not having replacements around one day, then you can’t do anything lol thanks guys!
  8. My Mionix Naos 7000 of many years has seen better days. the rubberized coating is doing what rubberized coatings do, the scroll wheel hasn't "Clicked" in a while, and now it won't scroll at all. Think I got my money's worth... maybe it's time to replace it, lol. What's the go-to mouse that isn't too flashy? (I rocked this thing with the lights off). I just want a /good/ mouse. The Naos 7000 was also probably too big so I wouldn't mind something a little smaller, even if it takes some getting used to after all these years lol. Not looking for the cheapest thing, or the most expensive. Just want something that works well and will last
  9. I have a lenovo laptop with a Realtek 8822CE that refuses to work with WPA 3. But that is Wireless-AC Although, It also has issues sometimes with wifi in general, so I guess it's just not the best adapter. I have seen other issues in the past, but that's all I have that's specific for ya
  10. WPA3 in my experience causes weird bugs on some devices too. And when you encounter those, not really much you can do other than change/upgrade that device, or disable WPA3. Until that goes away, is it really worth deploying?
  11. I want to try those audi laser headlights that are banned here(still I think?) It's not worth $3k per housing, but it seemed like a great idea But yeah, classic halogen bulbs were the best. I was totally fine with the bulbs my corolla had (and miata has). THe touareg has HID's and they are ok. Better than LED's for me. Not sure about other people.
  12. Nah not really. All that matters is that the person driving the car can see. It's just a competition now. Can't see? Well I guess you need to add more light and lift your truck a little higher
  13. Sorry but I have no idea how good it is I've driven a bunch of audi's and honda's with HUD's and always thought "neat, but I don't really need this". Funny how that works lol
  14. ah yes, paying probably thousands for an infotainment system with probably 512MB of total RAM. Just the way cars go I guess haha
  15. the no temp gauge thing honda does in some of their cars is not their brightest idea I guess i'd understand if the car went into limp mode at the same time to maybe alert the driver "hey, you should probably stop this thing" but I don't think they do
  16. I have a macbook pro and a desktop PC, the macbook pro runs Ubuntu and the desktop Debian. In addition, I also have an iPhone. But I back this thing up myself over wifi using a windows vm on my proxmox server. I bought a google pixel 5 a while back with the intent to run Calyx OS on it, and daily drive that. I got hung up on being tired of crappy pictures and stuff with SMS by my friends that refused to use Signal. I went through the whole process of setting up a Mac OS VM with working iMessage (my god this was a pain!) inside of Proxmox, just so I could use Airmessage with that Pixel. It was never reliable enough though... So I'm still using my 7 year old iPhone X. Lol, literally just because of iMessage (I already carry 2 phones, 1 for work, I don't want to carry 3 -_-... I wish I could virtualize iOS on a pixel LOL)
  17. EU only. Guess we 'muricans have to stick to the walled gardens
  18. New Phone better than old Phone I'm so jaded with phones now. Don't even care anymore xD
  19. I used to leave the top of my miata down when walking into the UPS store. I got nervous doing that though lol
  20. Current status in southern Louisiana: Freezing rain all yesterday afternoon into the night, combined with 35mph winds... Power went out at home around 10:15. Woke up at 4:30ish, it was 44F inside my house.... so I promptly decided to just go to work super early lol I could only open the driver's door on my car. Every other door had enough ice that I couldn't open them. How lucky is that? 19F and the Touareg fired right up; although I did fill it up a couple days ago with plenty of Stanadyne, knowing the weather was coming. Where I live it was PITCH Black. I've never seen it so dark. So that was interesting Was surprised I didn't come across any closed roads. Although I did leave super early. Stupid people still speeding over black ice and I'm seeing more and more reports of accidents since I got to work lol
  21. it used to be you could get batteries and they would last about 7 years. Those days are long over though lol
