Yeah these features can be pretty hidden in bios, so if you dont find at first consult a manual, just a heads up.

Uh never thought of that so, that could be useful as long as my bios hast that feature. Thanks!

Set a custom fan curve in bios, and set the temp input to the cpu.

you need to use the Windows 8.1 disk and see if you can do a Windows Recovery

if that fails your OS is f**k up

you will need to reinstall the OS

Never mess with the Registry unless you know what your doing .......

Best advice I have for you is what @dragoon20005 said.
Do a recovery if that doesn't work - complete re-install.

    Hold down cmd+R!

Oh wait, this isn't a Mac! Abort!

Yeah see don't go around turning off stuff. Its like people to manage to delete system protected files and don't get while something broke after.

But yeah, you are going to need a repair disk of a reset does not fix it.

MSConfig is still important turning off core services has the same effect as fucking with the registry. He should have looked up what each service did before disabling. I did the same thing and windows boot sped up a bit, and everythings fine.

Just for saying I do happen to know the difference.... wow, super epic brain fart.

Zkay reacted to Froody129 in CPU throttling at ~50ºC?
No, downclocking affects the performance, You get lots of voltage at stock to make sure the CPU will run at its rated clock. So just sending less volts will lower power usage and temps drastically without affecting performance at all (unless you send too little voltage, then it'll crash like an OC with too little voltage)

Also amd trips are are about 20 higher than reported so the real temp is around 70c.

this , use a program like speedfan to see the real temps

see how temp3 is a far more realistic line? this is on a kabini chip ,
on FX speedfan tempts to be the only accurate program for the cpu readout

It should start to throttle at 60, but not at 50 which is the strange thing

Install a program called AIDA64 and run a stress test and look at the graph. It should tell you when the CPU is throttling.

AMD max temps are a lot lower than Intel (you don't want it higher than 60-65), but 50 shouldn't throttle you just yet

Would be fine. This is what you are supposed to do. As long at both have the same timings and frequency, you are going to have no problem. Having two different kits whether it is different timings or frequencies is a big no-no though

So long as the rest of the timings are the same, you're fine and won't have to change anything.

Yes. Even if you get different speed of memory, so long as you set it in bios to operate at the slowest of the two speeds (not just MHz, but also timings) then you'll be okay.

You can use different channel kits like quad with a dual channel mobo but I believe it will slow down performance, but yea I believe you can

Dual channel kits do not mean they are designed for dual channel. Their just saying that those two ram sticks have been specifically verified to work together in dual channel. Two dual channel kits running quad channel are the same as a quad channel kit, assuming that the two dual channel kits work together. That dual channel tag is just showing that the manufacturer says those two sticks will work together as specified without question.
