  1. Everybody that keep saying "I watch LTT for entertainment not facts". Guys thats not the problem. I too watch it for entertainment, but there was a point where if Linus says this product is good, I would trust him and maybe buy that product over another. With all the errors, people that still does that, will end up with false information. They keep using labs as a proof that if they say something is good or bad you can trust them. The problem to me is it seems like no one is watching the video or reading the script before pushing upload. I dont watch a video about a product more than once, I can watch vlogs and wacky high jinx multiple times, but lets say a video about a 4090 I would watch once and never again. How would I know to come back days later and look for a pinned comment stating that benchmarking was wrong. Or what if I dont look at the screen but mostly listen. Either they need to spend more time on the script or have someone watch the whole video before upload. And they also need to be able to do reshoots. I dont get why tech quicke cant do reshoots. Its not a channel with deadlines or NDA´s, just take the extra 10 minuts to reshoot/do a voice over and do it properly.
  2. I feel the same way. The only time I remember actually voicing my disgust with a video, was the infamous blackout build. I really hated that video, and so did most people it seems.
  3. I should have said best example lately proberly a lot more examples out there
  4. Best example of that is the wartercooled bed. Idea funny, potential Alex and Linus high jinx. But video was hastly shot, end product really meeh. In the old days they would have split it up or redone it over multiple days. Now everything has to be done in one day and if it fails, then too bad its a video and we just send it.
  5. I dont think there is any bad blood or anything but Steve was not a LTX so maybe not on the best of terms?
  6. I agree with a lot of GN points. All the corrections are troubling, there need to be time for reshoots, voice overs or what ever to correct a mistake, not just an annotation or a pinned comment. I see LTT as a sort of Top Gear for tech as Top Gear was to car reviews. I watched Top Gear for entertainment not for actual reviews. The difference between LTT and Top Gear is that Top Gear knew that it was purly entertainment and did not hide it. LTT talks a big game about alle the employes and all the tests Labs can do and will do. I think they should proberly decide what type of content they want to make. Personaly I love the Alex and Jake type of content. Give me more wacky builds or projects, maybe long term projects. I stopped watching LTT GPU reviews a couple of generations ago because it was rushed, typicaly only a hand full of games and not really worth my time. Now I dont watch them because they are rushed and full of mistakes. I wanna say I have watched LTT ever since the AMD Phenom 2 days, and will still watch them. But take the input and make better content instead of more. Also why did short circuit change from a quick unboxing channel to 20+ minuts?
  7. In my area nothing is higher than gigabit, so would be a waste. Would only be for faster transfer between stuff like my nas and Pc's. so thinking about maybe an edge router, a switch and just buy a seperate access point. Sounds stupid yes or no?
  8. Just to clearify, I just want 2,5 on the lan ports, wan dosnt matter What about something like a simple Ubiquiti EdgeRouter and a 2.5 gig switch? would that be a good option?
  9. It was mostly to only have 1 device. I have thought about buying a 2.5 gig switch, they seem to have fallen okay ish prices. Any router without wifi to recomend?
  10. All options looks good but kind of expensive. Would have to look into it. But super nice that options actually exists
  11. I have never heard about Netgate, sou I would have to look in to that thanks How to you run it on a Nuc? you have one that takes expansion cards or?
  12. I have thought about building one. But power is a huge concerne here in Denmak. So I would much prefer a low power solution. Does such device exsist?
  13. Hi I need some help here from some experts. Like many I upgraded to AM5 and now have 2.5 gig lan. I have a synology box that I could also upgrade so fun times ahead. Have been looking after a nice compact router option with 2.5 gig switch, all the one I can find is only 2.5 on the WAN port. Been thinking about getting a router without WIFI, since my network closet is horrible fro wifi so its a waste. Does such product exists? or would it be better getting a 2.5 gig switch and a router without wifi? Any suggestions ? I am proberly gonna buy a seperate access point, thats why the whole wifi deal is not important.
  14. Yeah my whole setup would need to be changed, cpu, motherboard and ram. So that's why I was thinking about changing platform entirely. Only thing I would miss is the option to add maybe 2,5 gig or more. But don't think it's essential for my usage. Don't know. Any idea for modern hardware if wanting to go diy?
  15. Hi With the current electricity prices in europe I have been thinking about building a new NAS og buying a Synology box. Right now I am running an unraid box with a Gen 2 I 7 and 4 Harddrives. It uses anywhere from 110 - 150 watt, wich I think i quite high. I used to like the power for plex, but for some time it has only been used for storage. Would it make sense to go with a low power cpu and motherboard combo or just buy NAS?
