GM_Peka got a reaction from rhyseyness in Mouse setting question. DPI vs ingame sensitivity (CSGO related)
Well, one thing to know, is that it doesn't matter as much as people like to make it sound, some times sensors might perform better at certain DPIs though.

One thing I'd like to say with DPI, is that you gotta have enough so that your aim doesn't move in too large intervals, for instance, if you play 800 dpi with 1.5 sens vs 200 dpi with 6 ingame, you'll notice your crosshair skips, and fine aiming isn't possible, for most low sens players, 400+ dpi is enough to keep things smooth. So what I'm saying, it use a dpi/sens combo where things are smooth and don't jump in large intervals. I personally use either 800 dpi and 1.2 or 1600 dpi and 0.6, my Zowie performs well at either dpi, my overall sensitivity is 17.1 inches/360

There isn't any 1 to 1 sort ingame sensitivity, having ingame set to 1 just means you'll move like 0.1 (don't know exact number) degrees each times you mouse registers a dot/movement, the only thing that your have to worry about being 1:1 is your desktop sensitivity, which should be 6/11 with enhance pointer precision OFF.

The thing about DPI to remember is with 400 dpi or whatever, it'll give windows (or CSGO with raw input) 400 commands to turn right for every 1 inch of right movement. So that means you'd move aim would change position 400 times in 1 inch of movement (in a single axis).

Edit: One more thing about DPI, alot of mice often have a native DPI, I think the razer deathadder is 800 dpi, so it performs best at that because there's no interpolation going on, although I don't know about other mice, and I don't know if you should care, it might just be some sort of misconception that it makes any difference.

Sorry for the late reply, it's because vsync causes stuttering whenever you aren't at your maximum frame rate (ie 60fps on a 60hz monitor), it addition, when you are at your maximum frame rate, because of frame queuing and other wierd stuff going on behind the scenes, you'll get some pretty bad input latency (like a few frames (30ms or so)).

You might learn a thing or two here: http://www.displaylag.com/reduce-input-lag-in-pc-games-the-definitive-guide/

I doubt Nvidia would go down without a fight. See what happens when DX12 games are actually with us. I'm certainly not going to be swapping my 980 Ti for a Fury or whatever :3.

Have you adjusted the voltage at all? If you haven't, it's likely it isn't stable, run OCCT gpu test with error checking, and see if it errors.

Edit: Just because you might be able to run a game doesn't mean it's stable.

If you manage to get a team together, remember not to take it too serious and try to have fun sometimes, otherwise your team will probably break up like 90% of teams do in amateur esports.

GM_Peka got a reaction from Dragonfly in Should I still lower my 2000 DPI after 500 hours of CS:GO?
Your DPI is fine, focus more on your overall sensitivity, for reference I use 1600 dpi with 0.6 ingame, I used to play 800 dpi with 1.2 ingame, but for TF2 sniping was actually harder with 800 dpi.

Also, never use the sniper button, it will slow you down to much (as in you have to think about pressing it etc), just practice with a static sens.

I actually have a friend I play with who used to be die hard 400 dpi fan cause that's what his ideals used, but now he uses 1600 like me lel :3.

edit: By the way, if you use high overall sens, you might prefer a higher dpi and lower ingame compared to the other way around, otherwise you'll get aim skipping when doing fine stuff.

Edit 2: With some mice, high DPI can be problematic, because they introduce jitter and artifacts, but alot of the newer mice, like the Zowie stuff can handle 3200 dpi with no such problems.

Aisuite is fairly buggy, I just go into the bios on my Asus board and force all the fans to stay at about 450 rpm. Also, you should consider doing a fresh install of win 10, random problems like these arise when you just upgrade like this.

Edit: Also, nice motherboard, I myself have an Asus Maximus VIII Gene on the way, going to be balling, as Linus and crew might say.
