  1. that's good then, i thought the 3700x doesn't come with any cooler. thanks for the info
  2. yeah, but that's a bit out of the budget range...depending on what graphics card I buy I suppose...
  3. cool, thank you very much. if i go for the 3700x i also need a cooler, but that's not a big issue
  4. Hi! I'm building a pc for someone who's working in vectric aspire 9 mainly. He would also want to record and upload tutorials on youtube. He has a 1080p 60hz ips monitor...not sure if it matters. The budget is ~1500 pounds (uk). So far this is what I'm thinking: cpu: ryzen 3600 or 3700x motherboard: not sure yet Ram: something 3600, at least 16gb storage: 500g or 1tb SSD (sata or pcie?), and 3 tb hdd for start graphics card: ??? i have no idea, please help case: doesnt really matter. good airflow and usb 3.0 ports If you have any suggestions or recommandations please share them with me, I would really appreciate it! Thanks in advance!
  5. i don't understand it. you said if I cant afford the 6 cores go with the 4. so if i have enough money for the 6 core should I buy that?
  6. If it's a desktop just connect the new hhd to the system with the sata cables. If it's a laptop you will have to buy some usb to sata adapter. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/USB-3-0-to-Sata-Cable-22-Pin-7-15-pin-HDD-Hard-Disk-Driver-Converter-Adapter-/121721716425?hash=item1c572dfec9:g:lqwAAOSwDNdVwHnc like this one. they are nowhere near 70 dollars if you don't want to install windows and manually copy everything just use a free cloning tool, it will basically put your data, as it is, on your new hard. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_disk_cloning_software
  7. 550w should be fine even with overclocking. personally i like the corsair rmx series, they are good, silent and reliable
  8. Hi! I have a dell precision t3500 workstation which I am currently using as a gaming pc. I would like to upgrade the cpu and I found 2 options but I'm torn between the two. Currently the system has a xeon 5620 (quad 2.4ghz) . One of the processors i found is a xeon x5687 (quad 3.6ghz) which is going for 60 pounds (uk) and he second one is a xeon x5675 (hexa 3.06ghz) which is going for 100 pounds For streaming and playing games should I get the faster 4 cores processor, or are 40 pounds worth for the slower 6 core? What do you guys think?
  9. Hi! I'm planning on building my first pc. I don't have a lot of money so I wouldn't want to buy something I don't really need. I will be using a 1080p 24 inch monitor. I haven't decided on the grapchics card yet (suggestions are welcome) . The system will be used to mainly for playing and streaming games such as smite, lol, dota, csgo, not triple A titles. Should I get an i7 or and i5 will do just fine? I am planning on overclocking. Which cpu should I get? Thanks in advance!
  10. From all those items I like the case the most. Probably because I didn't give much attention to cases when getting a new PC/upgrading and I've been using cheap low low bugdet ones so far...I hope that's gonna change. This one looks really cool
