  1. So I'm selling two MSI gaming GTX 970s. With the advent of the 1070 and 1080, what is a fair price for them? I have them priced at $450 but with the 1070 coming out I'm not sure. I have a guy offering $400 right now and I'm on the fence. I'm in Salt Lake City if location matters.
  2. So during WAN a couple of weeks ago, Linus mentioned a promo code for the Teespring store for the holidays, what is it? I couldn't find it, and would love to buy some shirts for my brother and I. Thanks bros.
  3. 4790k, 970, 16gb ram. Parent's aren't gamers, so I really need some ideas. I'm 17, and I feel like it's time for me to get them something too. Check. Fallout 4 is on the list.
  4. So I was throwing together a quick Christmas list to give to my parents, and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for some ~$100 or less gifts? I'm a PC gamer with most of the stuff needed for a basic setup. Any ideas? EDIT: Looking for gift ideas for myself and for my parents, question was poorly worded. Parents are techie about some things and illiterate about others.
  5. I fully agree with this. Just my two cents.
  6. To be honest, I would wait to see what happens with the DX12 before doing anything. If you need something now, I would recommend the 390x because of Nvidia's DX12 controversy.
  7. I would also recommend the 380 because of the full DX12 support.
  8. So pretty much I'm planning on waiting for the whole DX12 thing to get settled. If 900 series gets updated then I'll pick up another 970. If not, looks like I'll need a new card anyway. Thanks guys!!!
  9. Personally I'm leaning towards SLIing and waiting for pascal. Then I don't have to deal with selling my current 970 and it's cheaper. Anyone know when pascal is rumored to release? EDIT:Just realized Pascal might use a new socket, don't know how I feel about that.
  10. I am considering buying another gtx 970 to sli with my current one. Now I'm starting to think to just wait and buy a newer graphics card in the next generation/980ti at some point. I run my games at 1440p so my 970 is chugging along in Witcher 3 and MGS:V. Should I save up for a newer/nicer graphics card or should I just buy another 970 and sli?
  11. Ok, seem to be leaning towards the 1440p. Will be SLIing sometime this fall when I have the money again if that makes a difference.
  12. I'm looking into a monitor upgrade as I recently got some birthday money. I'm looking to spend 300-450. Around this price range I'm looking at 29 in. ultrawide monitors or a 27 in. 1440p one. Any recommendations? I'm running a 4790k and a single 970 so i'm not sure which would be more beneficial to me. I'm currently using a 24 in. 1080p monitor that seems to work fine for me now.
  13. That's what I thought too, non-reference cards are hard to come by in the states right now. Guess I need to add some homepages so I don't forget to check.
  14. Hey, has anyone seen a MSI 980 Ti Twin Frozr in stock online? Any rumors on when more should be available? The only non-reference cooler 980 Ti I see in stock is from Zotac, and I don't know about how I feel about their cooler.
  15. I would love to use it for streaming my gameplay. I really do think it's better than what i'm using now, which is OBS.
