   So fans of the original Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (or KOTOR) have gotten together to make a FREE remaster of the game (you have to own the original game first though) available to all fans. In the vg247 source above, you can see the first gameplay footage recorded by youtuber MrMattyPlays.
 
   I for one am super excited. I'm a long time fan of KOTOR and have been wanting a third installment for years. This, of course, isn't that third installment, but it is going to be helping KOTOR get up to date with graphics, being built on the relatively new Unreal Engine 4. In the quote above, they also say many new features are going to be added.
   KOTOR 2 was just recently updated on Steam to support both community mods as well as achievements, and now the original KOTOR gets a fan-made update. And judging by the gameplay footage, they're doing a great job. I honestly cannot wait.
   Any KOTOR fans on the forum? Discuss below what you think about this! Also, the developers of the remaster are not accepting donations yet, but they say they will soon. I'll probably be one of the first to pledge
 
EDIT: I tried searching the forum efficiently, and only after I posted it did I find another post by @DevilishBooster. Feel free to lock/merge/whatever this post Mods, or consider this the "New Gameplay" update as the original post did not have gameplay.

IPS is a patent of LG so any screen that says IPS is going to made exclusively by LG (one of the top panel manufacturers in the word) so quality isn't an issue if its new. You can always lookup the panel on panelook to make sure it's genuine. 
 
If it's LVDS than it's going to compatible electronically. They're just universal mobile displays (pretty much every laptop has universal screen), the site seems to sort what panels are compatible. 
 

The panel size and the bezel size is what's important take it out and measure it then find a like size IPS panel. Just make sure the new panel has a LVDS connection.

If you have higher Framerate than the Hz of your display you get tearing. (If your case, you may have 5 different frames in one assuming your display is a 60Hz display)

8320 would do better than an i5 4460 at video editing. At games - an i5 would be better. Bulldozer (*100 FX chips) are meh. Vishera (*300 FX chips) are better but still meh.

I think you should reconsider calling kids "naughty" though. 

In school today two kids were throwing rubber bits at me for two lessons, one of the kids was my not so close friend but since he started hanging out with the ridiculously naughty kids he's become one, I'm somewhat naughty but I'm not that bad. This other kid is way more naughty. They got caught once and there was a considerable amount of rubber by me, they had to stay behind to pick up the rubber anyway so I got my rubber and littered everywhere around me, you could hardly see the floor by me, they saw me, then I began to put it in my hair, on my table and on my back (they sat directly behind me). I have what some would call a baby face, I'm like a 7 year old in a 14 year olds body. I can make it look like I'm seconds away from crying on queue.
 
 
This is were my genius comes in, I made I contact with sir and immediately made the face and started taking the rubber I put in out of my hair, he got up saw the mess and roared. He came by me and started picking people out who might on done it, sitting right next to the teacher standing in disgust I started picking up bits of rubber of the floor in the innocent face you could imagine. He insisted I didn't pick up "other peoples mess" I looked up and in the sweetest voice I could cough up said "may I please move next lesson sir" and he bought it all hook line and center and so did most of the class, for the last two minutes or so I brushed my fingers through my hair every 15 seconds to make the imprecion I was getting rubber out. When I left I picked up my bag looked over my shoulder and winked at them. They had to pick all my shit up and probably got into serious trouble.

I would seriously suggest you consider itx form factor cases for college students makes it so much easier when moving around.

Ok I am going to go for the best of both worlds, a 390x which will save me £40 and then get a 6600k, also what mb do you recommend.

Looks fine the GTX 980 isn't the best bang for your buck but if thats what you want go for it

i'd drop 8 gb of ram and go with a i3 and h81/ b85 motherboard
