The Apache only has a 30mm canon and rockets/missiles.  Do you want them to land and shoot them with rifles?  Each one of those 30mm rounds is like a grenade going off.  And using a missle is actually quite "humane" as it is more than likely instant death  because of the concussive impact on the human body.

Let's not forget Fast & Furious, Solyndra, Anti-American "pastor" Wright, "shovel ready" jobs, refusal to enforce federal laws...I could go on.

Maybe the taser wasn't on scene yet?  Maybe the taser got there after the shots were fired.  We really can't see what the officers saw.  Maybe the kid made a move towards the officers?  21 feet or less, that's the distance someone can close before an officer can react and draw their weapon.  This took place at less than half that distance.  It's easy to sit back and Monday morning quarterback the actions of police officers after watching a video shot from a distance where you can't see what is going on.
 
Some other points:  Someone said they should have just shot the guy in the leg.  First of all, in a situation like this you lose fine motor skills.  Adrenialine is pumping, you're fighting tunnel vision, your stress level is off the charts.  Do you really think that someone in that situation can make a clean shot like that?  It's harder than you realize to shoot under stress.  And even if they had shot the guy in the leg, he still has a knife in his hands.  Now what?
 
As to the guy that said in the US they fire two shots and then reassess the situation.  I don't know where you got that information, but it's BS.

I guess you guys don't understand the reason behind propaganda.  People die in war.  I'm sure everyone has heard the phrase "war is hell".  There is nothing to be gained from seeing your enemy as your equal.  To do so instills fear, weakness, and doubt.  These are not the thoughts you want your populace experiencing during a time of all out war.  You want your enemy to be hated.  Hatred is a powerful emotion.  You want your enemy dehumanized because in doing so maybe soldiers won't be so hesitant to pull the trigger.  This saves lives on your side and is a necessary evil.
