    I am a Computer Programmer

It looks like the sata cables are going to be hidden by the graphics card on my new motherboard, and as for the combs, I don't want to have the cables trained. To me i think that they sort of symbolize my life. Things are nice even though it may be crazy at times.

    Update 1:
I received most of my parts today, basically everything but the new case. So I guess it's bench time!

Installed the processor into the board, and installed the H100i v2 onto the processor. I just used the stock thermal paste. I'm quite happy with the look of the armor on the board although the lighting on the board is a little underwhelming in comparison with the marketing photos. This disappointment does not occur with the TridentZ RGB! Such Luminous! Much RGB! The h100i v2 is quiet.

    Yay Nothings dead!

Myself and my friend MrDavid decided to really push (as in without much effort) the system once we had it up and running. We loaded the "Gamer's OC profile" which gave us a 4.8 Ghz overclock and we borrowed MrDavid's GTX 1070 and put them in SLI since the board came with a high bandwidth bridge.

The case is supposed to show up tomorrow, so more pics then!

MrDavid got a reaction from NoRomanBatmansAllowed in Bell Fibe download speed DOUBLED when using wrt3200acm as router
tl;dr : My internet speed doubled when I setup my new router running dd wrt firmware, I wanna know how I might be able to limit the speed if Bell gives me trouble about it. i.e: what types of settings would do that

I have Bell Fibe internet 150/50 with the Home Hub 3000. I was becoming increasing frustrated with the poor implementation of UPnP on the home hub always leaving me with a strict NAT (Roomate is constantly gaming), so I did some research and found that the custom firmware DD WRT has amazing upnp. So i went to my local best buy and bought the only router that they had in stock that is officially supported by the firmware; The Linksys WRT3200ACM.

The connection was simple, I plugged the included ethernet into the wan port of the Linksys and the other end in the lan port of the Home Hub and plugged my pc into the lan port of the Linksys, disabled the WIFI on the home hub and input the PPPoE login information.

Bam I'm online! But heres the weird thing: Normally with the home hub, my speedtest would give me 190/60 (Which is more than fast enough to do what I want to do.). With the Linksys I get 340/120. If Bell notices this, and decides to contact me about it claiming that I'm stealing internet, I want to know how I could limit my speed back to 190/60.

    Hi there!

So I decided to get phantom glass on linus's good review and since he was pushing it so hard.

First impressions, It was very easy to put on, and I barely noticed it was there aside from the cutouts for the camera, proximity sensor and speaker. Feels just like the original glass, and there were no bubbles.

Firstly I would like to say that I am very careful with my devices and I have never broken a screen before. Within a week after getting the screen protector, it chipped at the bottom of the device. It also chipped at the top corner. This second chip was larger. It cracked from there clear across the screen shortly after I noticed it.

So I got a warranty replacement. I am glad to say that it was very easy to get a replacement, and the warranty procedure was painless. Sadly though, the same thing happened to the replacement, in about the same timeframe.

So I went 2 screen protectors in less than a month.

Again I want to stress that I am very careful with my phones. I'm not sure how the chips got there I just want you to know that I was being cautious with it.

Conclusion: Very easy to break, Buy with caution

Nice one, will there be a build log? Someone has routed his optical eject button to the top and it just barely protrudes through the mesh, it's a nifty idea.

    I hope not to much

Yes and the locking mechanism is amazing, a pain to put apart, but it works like a charm.

    Thanks for looking!

I have done so already, the parts are reused, from my first build that was a hackintosh. I have seen your G4, if you manage to make everything not cluttered it will look amazing.

    Hello my name is David.

My first computer ever was a Yosemite Powermac G3. It had a whopping 350MHz G3 processor, 1/2 gig of RAM, a Rage 128 GL and 40 GB hard drive. I got this upgraded computer in 2003 for christmas and was absolutely fascinated by it and its OS X 10.3 operating system. That computer is long gone. After that computer I was on the Windows platform with DELL, eMachined, HP and currently a custom built PC that I built just over a year ago. That PC is called DARKBLOOD and can build log for that system can be found here. I came across a Sawtooth Powermac G4 at my college and was intrigued by it. I googled the Powermac and came across Macbane and I instantly knew what I wanted to do. So I aquired the G4 from the school and I am starting my journey. I am going to put my PC into that case. My PC's motherboard is a Maximus V Formula which is E-ATX. As I'm not in a position that I could buy new parts for this build I'm going to have to work with what I have.

This is the current state of my PC.
    i7 3770K 32GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 @ 4.6 GHz and 1866 MHz
    GTX 780 3GB Reference
    XFX 1050W PSU
    120GB Samsung 840 SSD with Windows 8.1
    3TB Seagate for Storage
250 GB Seagate with OS X 10.10.0 Yosemite (2TB Seagate Hybrid on the way, will clone it)
Cooler Master Storm Trooper with window.

This is the G4 that will be converted.

Hi all! So I started a build log previously, but I am starting a new thread because the old one was very disorganized and hard to see the progress of the build.

    Specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/MrDavid5465/saved/1vnQ

Here are few shots of the components I used.

Most of the components installed and cable managed.

Got the windowed side panel for the case. That was a trick. Had to get it from the Netherlands. Shipping cost more than the panel did. Not going to hide these components though.

Installed CPU (3770k) and cooler (Cooler Master hyper 212 EVO)

Installed the GPU (MSI 780) I'ts in the second slot because my first slot is defective. Gotta call ASUS to RMA =(

    Additional glamour shots
