  1. Awesome, thanks for all the replies guys. Appreciate it!
  2. Just a bit of a noob question, right now I have 2x4GB RAM setup. I was looking at maybe getting 16GB. If my motherboard has 4 slots but says "dual channel" on the website would I be able to grab another 2x4GB kit (that's dual channel) and plug it in to get 16GB? or would it not work/be slower? motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-D3P

  5. Within $10-20 from what I can see cheapest 290x is $399
  6. Awesome, thanks for the input everyone!
  7. Was looking into getting a new GPU, the 290x/390/970 are all around the exact same price of around $420-430. Currently gaming on a 1080p/60Hz monitor, it just seems these cards are all in the same performance range? Not sure which one would be better..
  8. Thinking about getting a 390, I have a CX600W PSU. Not sure if it would be enough for a 390?
  9. Hello, So right now i'm running a 7950/8320. I was looking into getting a new GPU very soon, I was wondering would it be a waste getting a 380x just for 1080p/60Hz gaming. Should I just grab a 970/290x instead of waiting.
  10. I did watch those, but also wanted some more feedback.
  11. Not too familiar with the z97 boards out right now, looking to build a new PC in a month or so. Have had my eye on a few boards, but wanted to get some feedback from others. It'd be paired with a 4690k, budget is ~$150CAD. (colour doesn't really matter) Cheers
  12. Thanks for all the replies so far everyone, I appreciate it.

Not 100% sure on the i7/motherboard, PSU is kinda high as we don't know the TDP for the new 300s? Cheers
  14. Thinking about grabbing a 390(x) whenever they get released. Currently running an 8320 at 4.3GHz, should I be expecting the CPU to slow down the GPU at all (just from comparison from say the 290(X)?)
  15. So right now I have 8GB RAM (2x4GB) sticks. If I were to buy a second 8GB (2x4GB) sticks would that work out to be 16GB total, or would I need to buy a 16GB Kit? Cheers
