  1. Hello there community. I really didn't know were to post this, so I ended up on this forum. However I have this problem when it comes to building my first computer. I'm going to buy computer parts for roughly 1200$ - 1500$ USD. Its going to be made for gaming. Also I'd like a computer being small, and easy trasportable. Because I travel a lot, and id like it to be fast and awesome but tiny and light weight. Also Overclocking can be a good thing, and airflow or watercooling I'd probably be interested in. However No custom watercooling loops, cuz I don't want to fiddle with that. Thanks for reading
  2. going for this - h100i - red cpu cabels - Kingston hyperX 120gb x2 raid 0 I got one 120gb allready, so maybe 3 in total. but they are expensive, however got one 1terra hdd aswell
  3. ok yeah ill do that. easy and fast however what about x670 SLI?
  4. maximus v formula I really dont know the budget. I guess everything from 80 - 500 - 600 idk what normal
  5. Hello reader I'm planning on doing a lot for my build, but I'm not sure what and how yet. However this is my current build: i5 3570k asus gtx 670 ax 850w corsair 900d corsair kingston 8gb ram stock intel cooler I previously had the CM Storm trooper case, but i bought the 900d yesterday. So i disassembled the build from the old case and i have currently no working pc however, before i star setting it up im going for some changes, and the stock cooler just isn't neat enough in the beauty 900d, so going for some sort of watercooling. so here is the question: What watercooling setup shoud i go for. I saw that 690 asus is not compatibly with full gpu cooler from siwftech, well i heard it in the linustechtips video (heard) So yeah any tips? questions and i will answer them
  6. The card has been installed, with power to both power connectors; the fan runs but there is no video signal out detected from either of the DVI connectors (checked both digital and analogue on the DVI-I port), with various monitors. Checking the integrated graphics port showed that the 6850 card is not switching-out the integrated graphics during boot, but appears to be disabling it after the BIOS has handed over to the bootstrap ... the PC then reboots a few seconds later, before it has started the OS. This is not something found with any previous graphics card. We have checked the motherboard compatibility with the ASUS 6850 and as PCIe 2.0 x16 there should be no contention. The 6850 simply does not start and repeatedly trips the PC to reboot. As you stated the card to be used but functional, I am at a loss as to where to proceed next. " BIOS flashed, there was a later version available. Still no video out on either DVI port on the 6850, but the PC no longer keeps rebooting, thank you for that! The integrated graphics port is now remaining in operation, but after the boot screen all three of my available analogue monitors (1024x768, 1280x1024 & 1920x1080) register "out of range", so I cannot see what is happening. From the beeps, I think the PC is booting-up, but this will be on a Linux partition (first in the boot list), not Windows. Returning to my previous PCIe 2.0 graphics card, everything is fine. Any other suggestions?
  7. - Get a second 670 - Corsair Domintator Platinum 16gb - Custom waterloop - Corsair 900D
  8. I don't know what's happening but I feel like my build never gonna get good enough. Upgrade, upgrades, upgrades... Those new shiny boxes from Asus and Corsair look so sweet. I'm going to change my stock Intel cooler to either a pre-fabricated water-cooling kit or I'm going all custom with my own loop. I'm not going to upgrade the processor for now, as I can most probably overclock it with the cooling kit? (Any thoughts?) I'm going to get a new pair of RAM Stick. I will choose the Corsair platinum x2 16gb (Total of 32gb) ---And considering another Asus GTX 670, doing SLI However anyone know a good starting guide for custom waterloops? Yes I got Kingston Hyper x 120gb 3k SSD And I will change the case anyhow. I have CM Storm Trooper and I just want the Obsidian 900D.
  9. Yeah thanks for reply. You might think I'm weird, not telling this allready :P But im running on stock intel cooler. So I might going to buy the Obsidian 900D and try custom waterloop, would be a great project. How much will it be for a waterloop? And when I start with it i might want to cool more than only the cpu. :D So probably try get two gtx 670 Asus 4gb vram and make them able to be watercooled, and same with the ram.. I'll buy platinum 16gb x2 and watercool it will this be possible? what will the pricing be etc
