  1. My only regret is thinking I wouldnt need an SSD and only getting a 1TB harddrive. I did put the saved money towards a better gpu though
  2. It also depends where you live. In some countries it is legal, as long as it isn't redistributed. I'm pretty sure its legal in Canada, but I'll have to check
  3. oh sorry man I didn't mean to do anything wrong. I didn't know
  4. I'm a bit of a newb in that regard, so sure?
  5. Anyone know where I can download movies (for free) that is safe? Last thing I want is a virus on my new gaming rig. Any help would be much appreciated.
  6. Make sure you use "rubber screws" to mount the fans. They dampen the vibration and make quiet fans even quieter. I use them and they definiltly make a difference. You can get them on eBay for a few dollars and they are worth every penny. http://www.ebay.com/itm/16X-Rubber-Cooling-PC-Fan-Anti-Vibration-Silicone-Mount-Screws-Pin-Rivet-Fan-/400472756625?pt=US_Computer_Case_Fans&hash=item5d3e095191
  7. Asus has a program for fan control. Its really good and it can even control 3 pin fans using some voodoo magic. Its really good so I think you should try it out. TekSyndicate does a video on it and explains how it works.
  8. AMD heats up more and uses more power. Intel is the safer option because it is less likely to heat up too much. Also, the battery will last longer.
  9. Its just your graphics card. Nothing you can do. I have the EVGA GTX 660ti ftw edition and I've been blessed without coil whine. Just turn off your computer when you dont want to use it. Since you have an SSD it shouldn't waste to much time
  10. Seasonic makes a fanless powersupply if you're a noise freak. Its 520W and 80+ platinum. It's not blue but grey.
  11. I've actually been sleeving my power supply too. It is taking me so long. I've finished my motherboard connector and just given up for now on the other ones. I'll get to it eventually, but not today. I'll probably post some pics of mine when I am done
  12. I've got 16Gb of RAM in my computer and I was wondering how I could use it to cache my HDD. Are there any programs that let me do that, and if so are they free or do I have to pay for them? Oh and I have a 1TB for my boot drive. I was stupid enough to think I didn't need an SSD when I built my computer.
