WW1 and WW2? A combined total of about 10 years? Out of approximately 2100 years worth of recorded history?

Seriously dude, if you still consider Germany "bad" because of their actions during WW1 and WW2? I have no words. Since 1945, Germany has been a pretty exemplary example of a nation reformed. Since 1945 in particular, Germany has a far better history then, say, the US does.

What about France? Are we going to pick on them for the War of 1812? What about England? Are we going to pick on them for the conquest of Scotland? Are we going to pick on the US for rebelling against their legal monarch? Are we going to pick on the UK for unjustly taxing a colony?

This German bashing is frankly, pretty messed up. You can certainly critique their history - the world will never forget the Nazi Regime - but they are not the Nazi Regime, and haven't been for 73 years now.

In this context, someone basically just took a cheap shot at Germany (since Nazi Germany somehow has anything to do with their refusal to ban Huawei) and then you and others just piled on... for what? For fun?
Indeed - most countries throughout history have done questionably ethical things. America with the slave trade, invasion of foreign countries over questionable reasons, near total destruction of local first nations populations, etc. Even Canada is guilty of crimes against first nations populations.

The UK? Hundreds of years of a foreign policy of colonizing foreign countries by force and then exploiting them for decades/centuries.

    Etc.
It's slightly disturbing to see people jumping on the German Hate train. Certainly they aren't a perfect country, but sure as hell neither is any other country.

Daegun reacted to illegalwater in Lab Grown Meat gets closer to see consumer plates
No, so people can eat meat without destroying the environment and our ability to use antibiotics. Factory farming is unsustainable and has done major damage to the planet and is by far the larger contributor to the rise of drug resistant bacteria.

P.S. Mocking people for caring about the well-being of animals is childish.

Daegun reacted to LAwLz in Lab Grown Meat gets closer to see consumer plates
Well, if you want to be seen as a logical and rational person you kind of do.
There are plenty of things which are not "natural" (whatever that means) which are very good. For example, ,medicine, houses with heating, refrigeration, computers, glasses, and so on.
There are also plenty of natural things which are not good. Cyanide for example is natural, yet extremely deadly.

Lab grown meat could be revolutionary.
It might be possible to make it taste better than regular meat.
It might be possible to make it more nutritious that regular meat.
It might become cheaper than regular meat.
It will most likely dramatically reduce the environmental impact of the meat business (which is a massive contributor to green house gasses).
    It is more humane.

On top of that, one benefit I don't think I've seen mentioned before is the spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Animals bred for slaughter is often pumped full of antibiotics in order to keep them from getting infested with bacteria. The problem with this is that it has lead to rapid development of antibiotic resistant bacteria, which is a VERY serious threat to humanity. There are already over 20,000 people dying each year in the US from antibiotic resistant bacteria, and that number will only increase as the number of resistant bacteria increases (which it will, it's evolution).

So there are tons of benefits from this, including possibly saving millions of human life or crippling illness, and government money too.
