  1. I was kidding, never bought anything - Just was mocking the traditional 'get beatz cuz they b good' attitude, but he did come back to say that he felt he overpaid and that they are still headphones worth having. I took a look at the Bose & beats & sony that were on display in Best Buy. Nothing really struck me as worth the money. I've decided I need compact bluetooth for what I'll be using it for, but also want them to not look terrible for mobile use. The search continues
  2. Sorry, when I was saying over-ear, at the time I meant the style that has a band or wire that goes over your ear and then behind your head, but still typically sits on-ear. While I'd love to be able to take full size over-ear's everywhere, it just won't be ideal. I realize this was my own ignorance upon posting now, after searching through lots and lots of headphones. I think in lieu of your last statement, when I go to return the blue buds, I'll probably take a look at Best Buy and see what they have on display, although I'm sure it will likely just end up being Bose & Beats.
  3. Honestly, I'd like to stay between 100-500. Almost all of the recommendations so far have been over-ears that, while they look really nice and I'd love a pair for at home, would (in my opinion) look ridiculous for at the gym or at work (office environment). I know I'll have to compromise some for a smaller pair of on-ear's, but it's just a lot more practical for me. Are they that bad? I really like what I'm hearing about these three, now: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H267SZK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H267SZK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M58CMYC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
  4. So far I'm leaning towards something like these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00M58CMYC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER I love that they're bluetooth and are smaller. Have widely favorable reviews in terms of build & sound quality wherever I look. While most of us would prefer over-ear setups, on-ear is nice when size is a factor, and these things are beauties in my opinion. Anything out there similar/better? Anyone know how well Bose stands behind their products/warranties?
  5. Hi all, I've recently been on a hunt for some quality headphones. I've really only considered buds because I didn't want anything overly bulky or dorky looking at the gym. I've tried several chinese knockoffs, and have recently picked up a pair of Blue Buds X. They're decent in most regards, but for the price tag, they just tend to piss me off at the gym. They're never perfectly situated, and I can't say the build quality is very impressive at this price point. I'll probably be returning, although, they are the best I've tried yet. I think I'm in the market for a quality pair of over-ear or over-head headphones. Something with a discrete enough profile to be worn at the gym, but comfortable enough to be worn everywhere else. (I'm a big fan of consolidation - If I'm going to buy something nice, it will be used for everything and I'll get rid of most of its competition). Some things I'd like, in order of importance: -Build quality. Must be built strong enough to take some abuse, and probably sweat. -Portability/Form Factor. Must be built small enough to not look massive on my head at the gym/while biking, or get in the way. Folding up + carrying case is a plus. -Comfort. I'd like something I can wear all day, or for my entire gym session without having to have 20% of my attention spent readjusting my listening device. -Sound quality - I'm no audiophile and was generally satisfied with the BlueBuds' quality. If I have to aim for a portion of the spectrum, I do like bass-heavy music. -Bluetooth. This is a major plus but not a requirement, as I realize it does narrow the market down severely. -Appearance. I'd like something that looks nice... who wouldn't? Cost is no factor at this point, but value is. I don't want to spend 100$ for a pair of beats that sound like 6$ kmart headphones, but I'd be willing to spend money where satisfaction is higher, up to a point. Let me know your guys' favorites, or if I'm just being a picky Dbag.
