  1. I'm fine. I love new hardware. I own a 980ti. And I've been happy with my purchase since I bought it last June. I'll wait another year or two before I even think about upgrading it. Of course if someone gave me a sweet deal for my 980ti I would definitely jump. But no reason for me to upgrade.
  2. How? 980ti =/= 1080. From what I have seen in this thread you cannot conclude that Vulkan is miles better than DX12 at all. Unless I missed something in the videos? It could be the 1080 or it could be Vulkan or both. Unless there is a demo of the 1080 running it with DX12 we cannot accurately conclude that Vulkan is better from what is shown here. Although yes it is impressive at 200 FPS. My goal isn't to be a dick. I just do not see it from what I have seen in this thread.
  3. Good thing 10 out of the 14 games in that bundle are at or lower than $2.49 then. lol And if you count 4.99 as less than $5 then that is every game individually sold lower than $5. I went ahead and bought the whole collection because 3 of my favorite Star Wars games were included. Battlefront II, Jedi Knight Academy, and Republic Commando. If you haven't tried any of those games you are missing out on some great stuff!
  4. Ultrawides are great! But 25 inch Ultrawides.... Not so much. I have 2 29 inch Ultrawides. They are fantastic. But I would not suggest going smaller than 29 inch for a Ultrawide. Go with the Asus. Or spend a little bit more and get a 29 Ultrawide.
  5. It will work just fine for anything except games. At least from my experience Nvidia's Surround is terrible. It does not play nice when using different resolution sizes. I have tried that exact setup for games and Nvidia surround just flips out. I wasted too much time trying to get it to work just to be frustrated. But I just read your entire first post. Since you are running different kinds of software on each. The 21:9 in the middle and 2 16:9 would be great. But I would rather just have 2 21:9 monitors and call it day. I have 2 right now and have more space then I know what to do with.
  6. If you are wearing shoes buy yourself some better shoes or better souls for you shoes. That might fix your problem. Other wise you might just by a yoga mat. I would imagine those are fairly comfortable. And could be easily stored as well.
  7. Sad face.... it is the 2560 x 1080 version not the 3440 x 1440. I would take a pass at that price. Although I do have 2 29 inch 2560 x1080 that I got for about ~$200 each. If it was the 3440x1440 I would of bought 2....
  8. Good idea. I'm almost done with college. I have a Surface Pro 3. Believe me lighter is better for College. I known several people that had gaming laptops and quickly regretted it. Because it was too much to lug around. You already have a Gaming PC so I wouldn't even worry about gaming.
  9. Looking at Nvidia's website. It recommends 300W at least. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-750-ti/specifications So it would be better to get a higher wattage power supply if you want to run you GPU reliably but it has a chance of working I would imagine. I say give it a shot if that does not work get a better PSU.
  10. I have messed with this with 2 2560x1080 Ultrawide monitors and 1 1920x1080 monitor as well with 2 1920x1080 monitors and 2560x1080 Ultrawide monitor. It simply does not work the way you would want with Nvidia surround. They are correct that it will scale down the higher resolution monitors to the lowest resolution and give you black bars. Save yourself a few hours trying to figure something out that will only frustrate you. Use the same resolution monitors. I wish someone could just develop some software that could make use of mismatching resolutions and also taking into account screen size while also considering bezel and angle of monitors. I can only dream... except VR is a simply solution to all this.
  11. Or you can could get a GTX 750Ti those are pretty easy to find I believe. I've have been keeping an eye out for the Gtx 950 myself. But haven't spotted it anywhere either.
  12. Welp... you may not even be able use a 750ti with that wattage...
  13. Yeah not the best CPU in the world even if it bottlenecks the 750ti it will be a better investment in the long run.
  14. Yes that GPU is the GTX 750Ti. And if it is working that is a pretty good deal.
  15. Everyone has already stated what is wrong essentially. But no one has realized that you might have a pre-build that may not have a PSU that can support more power hungry graphics cards. If that is they case you might be stuck with getting a GTX 750TI. But that will still be leaps and bounds better than you GT 720. If you can tell us how many watts your PSU is we could probably give a better idea of what Graphics card you should get.
  16. He might be able to get a 950 if he can find either of these two cards to purchase somewhere. But i'm having a difficult time finding anybody that has them in stock or selling them. And it was announced just about a month ago. http://www.pcworld.com/article/3043493/hardware/asus-reveals-two-tiny-unique-gtx-950-graphics-cards-that-dont-need-extra-power.html
  17. Do you have wake over lan on? Maybe someone is in your network waking it up. And are you certain that you are shutting it down? You are clicking shutdown right? Not trying to be a dick. Just asking questions to figure out how you are shutting it down.
  18. Hmmmm. Why not just shut your computer off rather than putting in sleep or hibernate? I have hibernated my computer before as well and for whatever reason is boots up as well. I believe it to be anti-virus. I ended up just shutting my PC off because I couldn't figure it out.
  19. Hmmm....doubtful. Best way to transport a monitor is with the original packaging it came with. Even then though... I would not trust my monitor on the a flight. Unless you can mark it as fragile or something. Otherwise they will throw it or drop it.
  20. Been considering making a mini-itx lan build. Thought about buying a 750 ti or buy my friends 760. But with this. Hmmm I'm definitely interested. I love the idea of having to plug a 6 pin power connect in. I'm just curious if it will run just as good as other GTX 950s.
  21. Intel's latest Compute stick. Might be what you are looking for. There are a few other models as well. Just look for Intel Compute stick. You won't even notice it being plugged into your TV. http://www.ncixus.com/products/?sku=125505
  22. Hmm looking at again. I can it get it to occur if I just click it just right every so often. I bet it's fine. I think it depends on where you click down on the mouse and how hard. It's not something I care to pay attention to. So scratch my original comment unless you are really concerned.
  23. Mine does not make that noise either. I would live with it. Although it could indicate that there might be a problem or at least a problem down the road after being used. RMA it if you can.
  24. Hmm looking at the CPU in the stealth it's a pretty good processor but it is only 2 cores compared to 4 cores. Depending on the game this could affect gameplay. And HQ model CPU would perform better. Just something to keep in mind. Depending on preferences decides which option is better. Do you want to play games wherever you want? Or just at home? Is battery life a factor for you? If you do not mind playing most games at home The Razer Blade stealth is a good option. But if you want to play games anywhere I would suggest getting a laptop with the dedicated graphics inside the laptop. Keep in mind they now have a full GTX 980 in some laptops. See. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/09/nvidia-crams-desktop-gtx-980-gpu-into-monster-17-inch-notebooks/
  25. The price of portability. But understandable though the Surface is not for everyone.
