  1. Good point. I went ahead and bought the bundle. It is too good of a price to pass up. Thanks for helping me make my decision!
  2. Don't mean to jack this thread. But should I bother getting this bundle with Far Cry 4 coming out Tuesday? (I got the Far Cry 4 for free with graphics card). I have never played Far cry before but it looks fun and I'm excited for Tuesday. Basically is the story of Far Cry 3 worth it to go back and play after playing thru Far Cry 4? Thanks in advance for the advice.
  3. Get the Gtx 970 G1 Gaming from Gigabyte. Fantastic graphics card and I have it. It has great overclocking capabilities. Also very quiet and stays cool as well.
  4. I would suggest the Gtx 970 G1 gaming card from Gigabyte. It is a beast. I can overclock to get the same performance and better performance than a stock 980 for $370. I just built my PC with it. Really impressed. The 970 is money well spent.
  5. I ordered from Amazon yesterday when the 970 G1 gaming cards came back in stock. It showed they offered one of the three games. But I haven't seen an email or any info about it. Am I missing something?
  6. Its actually a CPU I'm considering for my first build for gaming. I can't decide between it or the i5 4690k. Best of luck to everyone.
  7. Looks like ill go with an i7. Should I wait for broadwell though? To answer your question about the HDD. I just like SSD because it is fast. But if a HDD is only $50 more then I might consider it. What do you guys think about going with 8GB of RAM rather than 16GB?
  8. 1. Budget & Location I would like to spend no more than $1400 US at the moment. If I can spend less fantastic. 2. Aim I want to be able to play games with ease. I like to play Skyrim, Borderlands, CIV V, Beyond Earth, any games like that but my genre of games I play are quite varied. I might do some light video editing but nothing serious and maybe some sound editing as well but again light. 3. Monitors I plan to only run on 1 1080P monitor at first but will like to have ability to have two or three down the road. 4. Peripherals I do not need a keyboard or mouse. I also do not need an optical drive or OS. And would prefer not to have a HDD and only SSD for the build. 5. Why are you upgrading? I am upgrading because I would like to have a capable PC for playing video games that I cannot get on the Xbox One or have a better playable experience on the PC. I currently have a Surface Pro 3 and it is surprisingly capable of playing some games at low settings but puts a heavy load on it. I would like to have a desktop dedicated to gaming. And keep my Surface for school and work related things. Build Plans: The builds I made below are cheaper than $1400 which I believe will be more than enough for what I am doing. I'm not sure if I should get the i7 or the i5. It would be nice to cut cost down if possible. I would like to have the ability to overclock the machines in the future as well as having the ability to add a second Graphics card in the future. I have also planned 2 other builds with only 8 GBs of ram which I'm also considering to cut cost. I would like to have 500GB for the SSD but I think 256GB will be fine to start. I think I will wait to buy a better CPU Cooler since I don't plan to overclock the CPU at first. I'm considering holding off on buying this machine to see what Broadwell brings and to see how much the price of the current CPUs listed will go down. Let me know what you think of my builds! Tell me if I messed up or where I need to improve! Any feedback is appreciated!
