  1. hmm came across some cool cases no idea what to do in them yet but i wanted an thermatake Mozart case long time ago but never could afford it. and the xps 720 will have to do an atx mod now just need a free case to cut up....
  2. i don't no why the front fan cable has to go across just tune the fan so the wire at the back top...
  3. funny you can over clock it haha ya good powerful low profile cards are hard to come by and are more expensive. i think the 1050ti is the best low pro gpu i think. (oh looks like there a gtx 1650 low pro) and rx 460 or 560 would be good too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynxYGZgcXp8 https://www.wepc.com/reviews/best-low-profile-graphics-card/
  4. plenty of info but don't do the gpu there no point in it.
  5. i have a big case and so i can have up to 6 psu.... anyway one psu will power all my led stuff so turn that off and all the leds with it...i do like to sleep some times. as for an all in one rgb controllers there noting out there so its be diy i have thought of a control panel that had lots of switches that could controls fan speeds, show rpm, leds on and off even add a wat meter in there but im not the best at electronics so never did build it and that was before rgb stuff. i can dream. besides aqua computer aquaero controller can display rpm, wats, amps, uv meter, cpu temps, rgb controller and other stuff also has a remote and an desk lcd so theres that. it cost a tone of money thow.
  6. the problem is there are not many software controlled usb rgb controllers that use the stander 4pin connector. only ones i no of are lamptron and coolermaster. even if you uses ones on these controlelrs there softeare dose not offer much of rgb colors or effects so there that. now is there a way to attach standerd 4pin rgb to non standerd yes there is but its can be costly and even more confusing. if you want a cheap slotion would be to get an manual controller with a remote. other option is to replace the fans with say corsair or thermtake
  7. Corsair Spec Delta case looks like it has non corsair eco system fans that sync to any mb with rgb head. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/716qCkTIH8L._SL1500_.jpg
  8. dont no about pulsing 1 color for each fan could do it or could not i think there's a fill 1 fan then another fan.. so non rgb software are coolermaster, lamptron, aquacomputer, but argb can do rgb stuff to so there's that.
  9. depends on what your looking for. are you looking for argb or rgb. what software do you want to use. all you have to do is put the name in ammazon and add rgb to it like thermatake rgb. asus rgb coolermaster rgb aquacomputer rgb lamptron rgb nzxt rgb thermaltake and corsair both have rgb fans and argb fans and many sizes. corsair rgb fans are not software controlled thow only there argb stuff is.
  10. haha was not the response i was looking for good sir. looks good man i do love orange.
  11. thermaltake, corsair, nzxt, coolermater, asus, lamptron, aquacomputer, and ek might get in to it. coolermaster is crap thow so don't recommend it.
  12. rgb gpu back plate, rgb fittings, rgb ssd/.hhd, rgb psu, rgb under glow, rgb hdmi cable, rgb psu cable, rgb power switches, rgb around the mb. rgb gpu braket rgb io shield i seen rgb usb cables...and i just found an rgb pwm fan hub..... back in the day you could buy an led feet that take 1 5mm led you could add an rgb i that but i dont think they sell em any more. but you could 3d print feet. if you can rgb and psu cover then feet should be np....
  13. i dont see the point but w/e i do crazy stuff to so ill give you that. i guess if the gpu is all ready using a rizer cable then all you need is a mount for the gpu. there a few cheap ones depending on how you want to mount it. as for the mb tray the hard part is making a hole for the io shield. you can mount it on stand offs. then you need something to fill in your old hols. as for the psu i think it has its own mount i think so just have to cut a new hole and mount that. https://www.mountainmods.com/product_info.php?products_id=754 https://www.amazon.ca/watersouprty-Graphics-Vertical-Internal-Accessories/dp/B07YC9B6C4/ref=sr_1_30?keywords=vertical+gpu+mount&qid=1581130580&sr=8-30 https://www.amazon.ca/watersouprty-Vertical-Accessory-MasterBox-MasterCase/dp/B07YSGBCNJ/ref=sr_1_56?keywords=vertical+gpu+mount&qid=1581130630&sr=8-56 https://www.amazon.ca/Kaislin-Vertical-Graphics-Bracket-Support/dp/B07VPGJ79V/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=vertical%2Bgpu%2Bmount&qid=1581130708&sr=8-1-spons&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExWTBRMUdSSzg4MzFTJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNjMzMDI2M0RJMjkyM0k1VTk3SCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDg4MzAzSTE2QUlJVFI1OFpJJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 https://www.mnpctech.com/products/mnpctech-stage-1-vertical-video-card-gpu-mounting-bracket?variant=31357593387074 https://www.mnpctech.com/products/mnpctech-stage-2-vertical-video-card-gpu-mounting-bracket?variant=31357715775554 https://www.mnpctech.com/products/mnpctech-small-vertical-video-card-gpu-mounting-bracket-black-requires-cutting-mounting-hole
  14. sounds like a big mod for your first mod imo....but w/e. are you looking to modify a case or build a case from scratch?
  15. well im been taking for ever working on my thermaltake core 200wpp.....so ill put my pc in a thermaltake core x9 air case instead! ya i no a bit of a down grade....deal with it. i macgyvered 2x phantech pwm hubs on a corsair commander.... it just has to work i don't have double sided tape. ya i no the front dose need a 200mm fan...
  16. fan screws are normal different. they got big threads on them. psu screws are the mid sizs screws and hhd/ssd/mb screws are the small screws but some mb and hhd uses the mid size screws.
  17. i made a thread on this and most said don't do it! i guess at the end of the day its your money and do what you want. the people said don't do it but never showed any evidence to not do it. it would be a good idea of have a post were people who have did mixed metal builds and the pros and cons of it. most build that i do see do this are all cheap builds dells and hps with a $100 loop were if something gos wrong w/e i like to see a hi end system running mix metal loop. i think the man problem is were do i buy a mixed metal coolant cheap. you can get car coolant cheap! i have got a fairly cheap custom loop $25ish a rad, $40-100ish for pump, $2 a fitting, $15-40 cpu block, ($100-200ish you can build a hybrid gpu block for $15-20) gpu block and res optional. i thought of going all aluminum but your stuck with ek fittings, pumps, and w/e gpu block they have. and ya there are cheap cpu blocks but there cheap..... all just to save money on rads. doable but be a pain. you can use plastic fittings if you can find em or most rad, block have small fittings on them witch would limit you anyway. ya you could go nuts with rads for cheap but then if its too big the you have to buy another pump witch ek stuff not cheap. if you have an io and want to add another rad to that then i can make seance.
  18. they should work but you need need to cut off the connector and wire on a 2+1 connector. or you can buy this adapter
  19. oh ok ya do to how expensive custom water cooling is you mostly be looking at more expensive case unless you want to mount the rad on the outside. so the focus is on more of the mid towers that have 1 or 2 fans on top and maybe 3 in the front. a few years ago say around the socket 1366 there were tones of cases built around water cooling. theirs also mountain mods that builds custom cases could also look on ebay for a case labes case but there costly and there were mostly built around the 120mm fans size
  20. the problem is that water cooling is not as cheap as it once was so most case barly get manybe 3 fans in the front and 2 on the top. ites even harder to find cases that have 3 on top and 3 on front let alone 4 on the top and 4 on the front.... so they make it so if your hard core and can afford to water cool then you can afford a more expensive case so your looking at the $200-300+ there are case that have a plan slate were you could cut and add your own fan holes in. in your case your looking for a case that can take a 280 60mm thick with 2x 25mm fans so 110mm most any case that has a basement is most like not going to work so tose thows out. i do no case but they might be too much but ill list them any way thermatake tower 900 thermaltake Core W100 thertmaltake corew200 Thermaltake Core X5 Thermaltake Core X9 Thermaltake Core G21 Thermaltake Level 20 GT (oh thetmaltake website lets you search for rad size so no need to list them haha) https://www.thermaltake.com/products/chassis.html?chassis_radiator_support=205
  21. some psu have odd sized fans like 135mm but some do have 120 and 140 fans. at some point i was on evga website looking at psu's and wanted to buy a psu that had stranded size but there info is not accurate.... so i gave up.
  22. my guess is that you have to plug them in form port 1 to 6 missing one will make it not work.
  23. one day ill try this mod. dont think ill make a shroud but still.
