but why is prime 95 safe to run? ppl run it for hours to confirm stable OC

i dont no why its safer. sounds like old gpus before 2010 didnt have safe temp were it woild self downclock to protect it. also sounds like if you oced it and then used firmark it be way too much heat. that and people used blower cards and hybrid cooling were just adding a fan to the vrm was consider fine...was not.... then there the sliing and the gap between gpus was vary small like 1/8 and sided of gpu were closed off. ya case at that time had prity good air flow and had even air floe on the side windows but was not enough. it would push it way harder then any game would for no reason. so combos of all that could be why. its posable to disable your fan curve in msi afterburner too and that can be a problem... its not the clearest on how to set it...

Oh so thats why noone uses furmark anymore

Maybe i just didnt notice cause when i had a 580 2048sp it hit 90c running furmark whilst undervolted to .86v cause trash china cooler

I dont really toy around with gpus let alone new gpus due to price and i dont really game on pc, just screwing around with ocing the balls off old platforms

    Alr thanks for the info

I definitely dont keep up in terms of stresstest software esp gpus as i dont play around with em much unless i cna find one thatd be fun to oc

i only use prime95 smallest and largeffts for both cpu and ram stresstest respectively

back in the day furmark was bad because it was like the prime 95 for gpus and it seems to just keep increasing the load. well people would run a test for hours and well ya not too good for it so it got a bad rep. was the problem fixed i dont no. but most just use heaven but any things would do. not to menchen sli setups that already had cooling problems...

Does elevating it really make that much of a difference?  I didn't know that.

if there dust and dirt on the floor it can be sucked in to the pc well on top it just suck w/e in the air. so long you keep the table clean... but a good case with eazy filters would work fine thow i dont keep track of filters on case these days but alot of them sould be fine.

  4. you can be shocked by a psu and the caps i no ive done it. how you drain the caps i dont no. but why would you need too... you should never be in your psu ever...🤔

oh i get it they want to see a borken psu so they can send you another one so you dont sell this one claming is "broken" just dont brake it too much so then you can fix it and the sell it😉 i kid...

They are doing something. Some Walmarts have started to close. They do try to check receipt BUT state law says they cant force you to show a receipt. People are either scanning items that are of lesser value, changing barcodes to an item priced less or just blatantly walking out of a cart full. Asset Protection cant do shit. The police wont do shit.

i no i watch videos about this all the time its in law. there so many case they cant all be handled courtrooms are full. we need a juge dred...🤔

basically we are Fu+ed. in to the fire we go.

Wont work here in the US. There has been sooooooo much theft at Self Checkouts, that there is talk about bringing cashiers back and putting self check behind a paywall, at least at Walmart.

To me automation does make a lot of sense for fast food. When it comes to retail I think we still got a bit of time. Even Amazon came out and said their staffless stores were not staffless after all.

they will only do something if the theft is more then the cost of wages. walmart has like 2 people for like 20 Checkouts the amount of wages there saving is nuts. but its just the begining things will change.

all we missing is deliveroy to be automated...

its depressing to look up but its here evry job is being automated...

With $20 min wage in California I have a feeling robots are not around the corner but already here. I know at least one restaurant out there was fully automated, I forget the name. I also seen a CNBC special on how some fast food places were using robots, at a White Castle location they stated they used one for the fryer station. Which in hindsight is probably the most dangerous job in a fast food restaurant.

Most people look at automation at fast food as a bad thing. Honestly I look at it more positively. Yes we are taking away jobs, but these are jobs people dont really want. However food could become cheaper, there could be more consistency when it comes to quality. Plus that also takes the punching bag (the fast food worker) out of the equation. Too many people feel entitled to use workers as punching bags. Not to mention Ive seen too many times on the news customers shooting at fast food workers. If you dont like that people make mistakes then take your lazy ass to the grocery store and buy ingredients and make your own food.

ya its been planed to be automated for a long time and the first place to do it. its sad but it is what it is. there will be no one and you will love it...

here a video about what its like atm not everywhere but was going to be the stop gap between automation. md makes all the moeny well the store owner losses moeny its a monoplay. they coudnt give a fuc+ if they sell food or not.

i seen an 8mill automated grocry store with 2 people... its just a mater of time and when not if. the problem is if people dont have jobs whos going to be shoping? do the rich eat at md no.

Food Theory matpat has one were he talks about one store having all in one kinda like in this video but i cant find the video.

the price will not go down because of robots just saying the price never drops like never... they might make the size smaller or "improve" the ingredients to cuts cost but no savings ever EVER gos to the consumer.

evry time the minim wage gos up people have less moeny because everything els also gos up. they cut hours or just fire you... only the best will have a low pay job like in china. everyone has an A degree to work on an assembly line... dont like it your gone.

most things in the store is made by robots all ready and the price keeps going up.

agree, its just that in MSI's testing ( the same folks that sells 4-6 months lasting AIO's)  tubs down is much better than up

the only reason for this was probably that their aio was so clogged up that i didn't even know if it was mounted or not 😛

ya i dont like msi or coolermaster. even thow msi alot of times has "cool" stuff at the lowest cost...

as an aio loses water then tubes down would still be the best.

the clogs was do to improper liquid additive and its a know problem in aios...

old 680 a blower style with the shroud off to simulate the more modern form of Graphics cards. kicking heat into the system is the norm now

    Tubes up always, 2 reasons:

i dont belive it to make any difference

im after 2 variables only: where i the rad and what way i the air flowing

tubes up vs down was mostly for custom loops because you didn't want to trap the bubble in the rad and try and push it out to the res.

in a good filled aio wont make a difference how ever some that are not filled right it would be best to have it tubes down and the rad hier then the cpu block so you could trap the air bubble in the rad and not thow the cpu block witch cause problems over time.

  10. ssd m.2 were odd and amny diffreny setups. bkey and mkey being the most common. then theres the b+m key witch can do both.

there m.2 witch was the first gen then nvme m.2

2280 is the most commom langth.

they can have chips on one side or both depeing on the size.

    PCEM2-ND PCIe 2x NVMe M.2 controller | Axagon

What's the main specifications of M.2 NVMe SSD?

a m.2 will work with a pcie adapter that uses a sata cable and works with older os that dont work for m.2 like w7.

why so pessimistic about this all? I got a deal for GTX 1080ti and it hasn't exploded yet

    what more do you need?

im not saying dont buy used. even if it has problems you can get deals like a broken fan you can save moeny on it. if it didn't exploded then your good...

my point was no prof that it was mind on or used hard all im saying.

the gpu dose not keep track of its health as far as i no...🤔 maybe there a port that a manufacture can test it and get info on it i dont no if its dose then its a good crept secret.

that about it hope the seller sells there stuff and gets a better pc.

if the card doesn't overheat and plays games like it's supposed to, that's your proof.

"The card gets same amount of fps as other XZY card online"

and some one can clean, replace the cooling on it...

so your saying you have to look up the same card used in the same benchmark on the same hardware with the same software and hops that that video was used on a stock factory card... and hope silacon Lotty dose not off set the results... ok bud you win have a cookie

  14. 6 minutes ago, podkall said:

"can you screenshot/send me video of the card being benchmarked/thermals while gaming?"

that seem like alot more work... but i dont see how that shows its been mind on or not...

if you had a pic gpuz show what bios it has maybe. or if the seller has like 60 gpus that could be a red flag but as far as i no there no way to tell if something been used hard, mind on, new vs used, and how long its been used for... other then like hdd/ssd.

It's been closer to $130-$150 for what they actually sell for. Don't go off price on listings, go off of "sold listings"

rtx 2060 evga ko ultra for sale | eBay

There's a couple factors going into the price of that card. FE cards will always go for more on the second hand market because there was less of them. EVGA is in that same boat right now. With them not making cards anymore you've got collectors buying up the used market on those cards. MSI cards are going for closer to $100 used on eBay.

thing to note is not all sold lisings are right like say 4090 selling for $4000... alot of them were" sold" then payer not pay for it... but its a good way to get an idea thow ebay has alot of bs stuff on it...also a 4090 can sell for say $1 and shipping can cost $3999 i dont no if sold listing include the total cost...🤷‍♂️

also last thing, the rtx 2060 evga ko ultra goes for around 200 on ebay, which is pretty expensive considering a 6600xt is about the same. My current version is deshrouded with p12 fans, should I sell it deshrouded and modded, or normally?

ya like i said the used market is an odd ball. i think its do to resellers not need the sell it right this mini so they will sit on it at a hier price. there are other things to consider then just say gaming profromace for a part like lower power consumption can also incress the price. things like low profile too.

as to sell it modded or not i dont no i guess you could have the buyer have an option to have it stock or modded.

  17. what i do is look on ebay. for the parts. gets you an idea of what there worth. if you sell on local used site might not get as much as what ebay listings are for. selling all will be less then each part just depends on the offer and what your time is worth and how long you want to sit on it. but also if there faster parts for cheaper then that also changes things unless your parts are collectors. some platform parts are too hi imo but it is what it is.

other tings that can help is a good describing, pics, pics of it working, recets if you have em ,box's
