Space Engineers is definitely well optimised.   This is how well the game runs on a GTX 650ti 2GB with the settings at medium (antistropic filtering manually set from off to x16) over PCIe 2.0 x4, and being displayed on my 1366x768 75Hz screen.   I'm very happy with the physics update they did a while ago as well-it went from single threaded to truly multithreaded.   Don't know how well the game scales past 8 threads though, but when you have a lot of objects interacting I am glad that I've got a 4790K-some creations end up that large that when they hit something at full speed (100m/s or 360KM/h due to the engine limits), my i5 4440 wouldn't have held up well.  Though that's when I'm also running a dedicated server for it.
