Doing a full read through of my Intel SE440BX-2's manual (just finished setting it up as in my Windows 98SE rig-the 1998 Yamaha audio wrecks my 7th gen nano in uality and volume), and learned that as long as the RAM has SPD, I can recover the BIOS after a failed flash via a floppy disk. I also discovered that by having all sticks of RAM with their SPD functioning properly, it no longer has to count every MB of the 512MB installed, and that it posts a lot faster.
