Ok now it feels like I didin't explain my question correctly. ? Sorry about that. I was talking about PSU's like pico-psu and HDPLEX. pico-psu HDPLEX: Off brand: These PSU's take a DC input (for example from a laptop power brick) then give you 24-pin ATX and other necessary connectors for you your motherboard. Hope it clears the confusion up. Or correct me if I'm misinterpreting your post. (I have trouble with English sometimes ?)

That's actually my question no. 3 lol I'm looking for adapters from friends and on aliexpress. If that fails, I'll mod my current psu to output 12v. You might ask what's the point. The point is to experiment and have fun Also, if you know any place where I could find affordable laptop power adapters, please let me know.

My config: CPU: Intel G3220 Mobo: Asus H81M-E RAM: 2x Transcend 4GB DDR3 1333MHz HDD: 2x 1TB 7200rpm WD Blue SSD: 1x SATA 240GB Transcend Right now, I'm using a non-brand 500W PSU Other devices I use regularly: 1. Dell Keyboard 2. G402 Mouse - Lights are always off/ lowest brightness 3. USB Bluetooth adapter 4. USB WiFi adapter 5. 3.5mm Micophone 6. 3.5mm Headphones My PC is powered on or on hybrid sleep most of the time. I ran the numbers on power supply calculator and the result was 203 watts, recommended: 253 watts (screenshot in attachment) Now my questions are: 1. What wattage DC-DC PSU should I get? 2. The 250W PSU's I found had only one SATA power with a 4-pin molex and a 4-pin floppy power. How would I go about powering my three (sometimes four) drives? 3. Where could I find a suitable power adapter? Adapters I found: 1. RGeek 300W - Aliexpress 2. Ninth world 250W - Aliexpress

how to disable thermal reading on old mobos?
zahin replied to Pancake2k's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Set "Processor power management" -> "System cooling policy" to passive in advanced power options. See attachments for step by step. Also, your laptop may have 2 options(Plugged in and On battery). Set both to passive. -
I'd want to win the new razor blade. Because I'm still running off of my iGPU and using a CRT monitor.

How's sony for build quality? It'd be the best option for me since we have Sony showrooms full of MDR and XB series headsets all over the country.

Not in my country...

I got really excited when I saw the Corsair Raptor HS30 on Best PC gaming peripherals to buy on a budget by Linus over on NCIX tech tips. It seemed to be THE headset for me considering my budget. But when I headed over to Amazon, I found some pretty bad reviews becasue of bad wiring. It seems that the headset(or at least parts of it) stops working after some months of use even when used with care. That is if you believe the reviewers. [images below] And because I live in Bangladesh and stuff is hard to find here, I don't want something imported/ sent to me that won't last long. Moving on to what I want in a headset: Good build quality, should last more than a year even with slight abuse. Decent sound quality. I don't listen to music very often, so something that doesn't sound terrible. Quite comfortable and over-ear if possible. And please suggest something you or someone you know and trust has used. Thanks.

I'm currently using a mouse which costs taka 500 or USD 6. Don't think I need to say anything else.

There's a little dust but I don't think that'll hurt. I'll clean it anyway.

I've tested the pc both in and outside of the case. There is no difference. Can you see the pictures of the heatsink and CPU and please tell me if I need to re-apply thermal paste?
